SCORM is used so that programs like Articulate or Adobe Captivate can communicate the score or grade to Moodle. It doesn't have anything to do with how the module plays just the scoring. As far as tools, Articulate is an add on to powerpoint that allows you to convert power point slides into a SCORM eLearning module so that quiz grades or slide views can be transmitted to systems like Moodle or Blackboard.
Does SCORM automatically recognize the format being imported into Moodle thereby allowing you to run the original program within Moodle without any problem? Is that the point of all of this? ... and the uploaded program is able to pause in the right times during quizes, etc and allows you to grade the student within Moodle?
I am brand new to Moodle ... and SCORM. Will a Powerpoint file qualify? Were the 2 slides from Powerpoint or is it a learning software named 'Articulate'?
I am new to all this. I have uploaded a scrom package from quizmaker. Everything works but I would like to find a better reporting options. Do you know of any? I have tried SCORM Cloud it works but it is not free.
@newnixon What kind of reporting features are you looking for? I have developed work arounds for most of my reporting needs but Moodle 1.9 doesn't have the greatest reporting especially when it comes to the needs of corporate organizations. From what I hear, the reporting features are improved in Moodle 2 but I have not tested them myself so I can't speak from experience. Let me know if there is any specific need or type of report you had in mind.
