Just thought I'd write that this tune (Ides of March) was co-written by Paul Samson.

It appears on the Samson (Bruce's old band) album "Head On" under the name of Thunderburst. On that album it is credited as written by P.Samson and S.Harris. On Killers, Steve takes the credit himself. :/

I bought my Ric for $450 in 1987, used (It's a 1974 4001). I will tell you, though, that a used Ric is every bit as good as a new one, so the best place to get them is where you find used instruments. Check out pawn shops and your local classifieds. You never know when someone does something stupid and puts one of these babies up for a pittance.

If I might suggest, try getting an effects processor. That way you can sculpture your sound pretty easily....and its cheaper than a Ric (the price of Ric is so high these days). I get a heck of a boost in my sound from mine. btw..."clank" is a great way to describe that Steve Harris sound.

I'm 5'9"...not exactly a tall fellow. And yes, I used a longer cord for this video.....but it did me no good because my headphones are the limiting factor. It was hard to stand still without dragging the M-Audio recorder across the living room. And I barely noticed Sebastian in the corner...good eye.
