  • Tears in my eyes!

  • Incredibly Amazing!

  • Incredible India!

  • WAAAWWW!!! he gets better and better !!!

  • This is the greatest guitar track ever...

  • the song rocks, however i 'd revise the percusion, in my opinion it doesnt fit with any instrumental guitar song

  • as good as is humanly possible. unreal.

  • Jeff Beck is one of the single most unique guitar players i've ever come across, not only because of the alien way in which he approaches the guitar, which is immediately recognizable, but because it still manages to sound beautiful, so many people experiment with sound and technique, yet they never manage to take all those good ideas and apply them in a way that's still worth listening to for somebody who doesn't play the instrument. Great track.

  • LA PUTA QUE TE PARIO FORRO HIJO DE MIL PUTA, PARA QUE MIERDA LE PUSISTE LA BASSE ESA DE TROLO?

  • pure bliss

  • purifies your soul!

  • F*ck me.

  • this is a song by nitin sawhney

  • Hi, need some facts here. Is this Jeff's composition or some Nitin Sawhney's?? It does have an oriental tune---very classical Indian feel to it. Doe anyone know

    ??

  • @1TCreemo My understanding is that this is an adaptation of a popular Indian love song which incorporates elements of North India classical music composition into the tune. The sitar and tabla are evident. Much the same as the Live At Ronnie Scott's melody. What I would like to know are the details of the recording ie. the names of the musicians. When and where was it recorded? In my opinion, this is simply outstanding!!

  • this is beautiful and sounds good on sitaar and guitar both

  • Uffff !! Jeff Beck !! You Rocked !!

  • Awesome one!!

  • It's a classic Indian tune.& Jeff made it sound n feel his own with the original melody.

  • My disbelief at 2 things:

1] How the F**K does Jeff Beck play that?! So beautiful :)

2] There are 7 assholes who dislike THIS!!! How?!

  • Jeff Beck Touches All,, I mean Hearts :D

  • @th3p4th4nz Oh Yeah. PERIOD !!!

  • i like it

  • grande grande non cè altra definizione

  • Does anyone know the drummer's name? I saw this live and it was unbelievable! This video is the audio from the CD version, but I would still like to find out the drummer's name.

  • "There are only two types of rock guitarists.

Those who are Jeff Beck, and those who aren't." - K-ON!

  • @achusters1 and that is not even an exaggeration

  • The Most incredible Sound I've Ever Heard From a Guitar!

  • @Juggalo5588 We in india use a sitar for that.

  • @TheHeavyMetalFoundry Yes, Yes, good, good, But Sir beck, Does it wtihout the aide of one! Hence, why its so incredible. He took a sound normally gotten from a specific instrument, And With an entirely different Instrument, Replicated it with such uncanny perfection. However you look at it, Beck has made something truly enthralling here!

  • @TheHeavyMetalFoundry

    no one cares bro

  • exquisite beauty of a lifetime♥

  • This is truly an amazing track for both guitar fans and (dare i say it), drum and bass fans!!!!

  • He's dat damn gud....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My all time fav song and always will be =)

  • Wow.... this style of playing, along with Bill Nelson's work with an ebow, are among my favorites.

  • And they say Rhythm of Life Gives Marching orders to some towards perfection and u tend to listen to your own heart beat oh i am so glad that the inner voices of the soil compels me to march on with the Beautiful friends that i share my moments of Happiness,In a Sudden Gush Of Humbleness Whispers of Humility ,Oh desire of Admirations let me bow down and touch your feet as if i was going to distribute these sutler emotions all over again.

  • anybody know a synthesizer that can do exactly what was backing in this track?

  • truely inspiring!

  • artistic conception

  • Harrison made his guitar weep, but Jeff Beck makes his guitar sing with joy. Truly the greatest guitarist of all time.

  • Chills...up n' down my Being.PERIOD!

Just as good,er great Live my fellow Earthlings!

  • bloody hell, this is fantastic

  • sim city music much? :p

  • Jeff, you are larger than life.

  • Among the best Great Britain has given to the world. Right up there with Sir Isaac Newton, The Beatles, The English language,The Empire! There is only one guitar hero. That is Jeff Beck. No one else compares. They all get on their knees to shine his boots. The ironic thing is, of all the so called guitar heroes he is possibly one of the lesser know. He is not exactly a household name like Hendrix or Clapton. Those in the know, know he is the very best!

  • @Throweasy03 you forgot Jimmy Page

  • @Throweasy03 Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath too are British, but Justin Bieber is Canadian nuff said, Shoot that brat eh!!

  • Btw this is an Indian tune :)

  • @ameeththomas 100 %

  • wtf people dislike this ?? this is like bliss....

  • bozzio??

  • @teamsleepnine I think at this point Jeff was using Andy Gangadeen as his drummer.

  • @TNO73 thanks man....will check andy out..never heard of him until you mention any recomendation??

  • Strat and Marshall... Doesn't it just blow your mind XD

  • love it. what a wonderful guitarist

  • If you like this song..,..listen to "Bowling for peace" by Prasanna.. you might like it.. .

  • beautiful..incredible

  • lol the drummer at 2:25 kinda looked like will ferrel

  • Uhhhh...no

  • I was cried...

    Where was this broadcasted?or,DVD,Blue lay?

  • This is just unbelievable. This guy is beyond any guitarist I've ever heard. Genius. I'm crying this is so beautiful.

  • Epic!!!!!! This is a translation someone had posted of the original song's lyrics by Nitin Sawhney. Nadiyaan Bairee Bhayein Mora Sainyaan, Bulaawei Sune Naahin Nadiyaan - River Bairee - Enemy Bhayein - They seem Mora - My Sainyaan - Lover Bulaawei - Is calling Sune Naahin - Doesn't listen. The river is the enemy that separates the woman from her lover because she does not hear him calling to her across the river.
  • The Maestro!

  • seen'em live a few times

  • Sweet!!!!!

  • Is this live or a music video with the studio recording as backing?

  • @jihadsoup It's a video of him playing the song live, but yes, it's the studio version.

  • this is simply a gem.

  • incredible, great stuff

  • How is he getting the micro pitches / semi-tones? Whammy bar or out of tune strings?

  • @osensei2987 its the finger slide, he's masted it completely

  • Awesome awesome sounds...

  • I was a big Beck fan in the 80s and then I lost touch, because of Youtube I found him again and the man seems to have gotten better and better. How is this possible? It's unheard of! It's also inspiring too.

  • who is back there playn drums on this video?

  • gambitt101 this song gives me the chills..

proud to be a paki..... is it paki song?

  • I don't think there's anybody who plays slide like Jeff Beck

  • this song gives me the chills..

    proud to be a paki..

  • Feckin hell he's a good slide player!!

  • This is one of those few songs that makes my soul soar.

  • This is one of those few songs that makes my soul soar.

  • my god he is elite

  • This guy is awesome.. and what the thinf on jeff beck's finger... did he break it or something

  • @synfan7x a slide

  • honestly..when they ask me who the greatest guitarist ever is.. i say jeff beck hands down..there's just no question..i can at least DREAM that with enough practice i can do what most other "greats" can e.g. bb king clapton hendrix, etc..but this guy...i dont even know where i'd begin to learn his shit.....if anyone can give me a forum or a starting point or some shit...i'd love you forever and a day...

  • これ確か久米宏がキャスター勤めてたときのニュースステーションで流したやつですよね。

    ジェフベックすごく、すき焼き食べたがってるのに無理矢理インタビューしてるの覚えてます><。。

  • this is the most relevant thing that any "blues-based, '60's/70's" guitarist has done in years....

  • @pk13285 nadia means river.. check the one by nitin sawhney !!

  • @abattoirevil HAHAHahahhahaha

  • well i meant the nitin guy, Idk who nadia is there may be a million people named that. Nadia is a girl in a indian folk song about love, nitin is a bengali artist and the version he did is sung by Swati Natekar in Bengali i believe. The lyrics talk about how the girl's lover is callinig to her and she calls back but he cant hear her and the river that is separating them is flowing with great force. And nadia means river. We arent talking about "Nadai"

  • @superbrutalbruce this is the most relevant thing that *Any* guitarist (not just "blues-based) has done in years.

  • Is the drummer really playing in this one?Cuz it sounds like synthesized drums.

  • @snake175 they're all miming to the original recording

  • indian cover

  • Young Trucks is a superb slide player with a love of ethnic music.. But El Becko is so totally supreme.."Nadia" is brilliant but "Bulgaria" is beyond brilliant, it's God's 8th Day - when he said "Well I've worked really hard for 7 Days - Time for something I like - here's Jeff"

  • poor idiot

  • Huh? This is one of my favorite songs... who is the poor idiot you are referring to?

  • Ridiculous in the sense that it boggles my mind... makes me look at my guitar and laugh...

  • greek bouzoukia!

  • steve vai is also great, try for the love of god by steve vai, beck and steve are like guitar gods they are not from this planet....cant decide who i like better...

  • @XDslowhandXD I would have to put Duane right along side him.

  • best guitarist fucking EVER

  • @prepostme You sir, are right. :-)

  • I'm not very musical or anything but to me this beat sounds like drum and bass and trip hop which is really interesting to me and I wouldn't expect to find it here. Only just started listening to this. My Dad recommended Jeff Beck! I'm really loving it this has really blown me away

  • @linatina123 first time i was told about him i was like who the hell is that?

  • Nobody touches Jeff Beck. The master.

  • @AxisofJustice21 Scuse me... Ze Maestro!

    Cheers...

  • this song is incredible.... every musician n non musician sud listen this song.

  • Listen to the master at work. Fucking incredible. There will never be another like him. There was a band called the who, made an album titled whos better whos best, Well thats also an age old argument. To me its WHOS BETTER... WHOS BECK?

  • 0.0

  • truly amazing

  • you have to be crazy or be from other world to make this kind of music

  • @kharlos84

Be sure to check out the video response from

    jonysuave.

Puts this great version of this song into perspective.

  • Between Beck's use of the tremelo arm and the slide, combined with the original Indian influence of the song, the intonation of the notes he is using creates an awesome tension and vibe throughout this entire song. This is NOT how you would hear any "regular old guitar player" play this song I think it is safe to wager.

A nice song and very tonally interesting from the perspective of a musician listening to it.

Thank you to Jeff Beck for all the years of great music!

  • Jeff Beck.... simply The Best !!!

  • Check out the version from the Live at Ronnie Scott's cd. Oh my!

  • so why'd they name this song Nadia?

  • thats thenameofthe song made by the original artist

  • Its a cover of a traditional Indian song named Nadia

  • F'n ridiculous. Jeff Beck has more soul and vibe than any other guitarist I've ever heard. And I've heard alot of them. Only Michael Lee Firkins is in the same boat....and he would be swabbing the decks on that boat.

  • oh what a deep..., music at its very best

  • OH how absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • what a beautiful version of Nitin Sawhney's track

  • AGREE,she makes it sound a bit cold but he has a way of grabbing your inner soul and warming it up.. Great job Jefyy,b

  • disagree with your comment, the first time I heard the sond w/o beck, my heart started racing, I got chill and became teary eyed for no apparent reason. Beck does a good job, but you can't compare the two. Its definitely exotic for an electric guitar but nothing can beat Reena Bhardwaj's voice. Its outerwordly.

  • I disagree. I like them both. Probably prefer Becks slightly. However I don't think her voice is really all thatm It's nice but I have yet to hear anyone sing as powerfully as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

  • haha waaa!?!? I dunno my preference of desi music esp in the modern music scene lies along the lines of the female singers who sang noorie and kabhi kabhie (both remixed by bally sagoo). Also chandni raatein (the remixed one). Girl who sings nadia falls in that category according to me and thats why I love her voice. But I must give credit and also love nusrat and lata.

  • i see where ur both coming from. but no1 can say either version is actualy better, theyr both different.

gotta say though, he can phukin play that guitar. allmost as good as me......nah no one's gonna believe that, but iv never heard any1 play like that n pull it off so perfectly. effortless. nice work

  • the drummer is out of sync with the beat so that means this is not a proper live set,it's been overdubbed with the track.

  • This is now my favourite JEFF BECK tune, i love how it jus keep's you hooked on that same melody and so much feeling going on with it, it jus stay's in my head and doesn't want to go away! CLASS!!

  • Yeah guys, I agree, Beck is not from this earth... ;)

Jeff Beck, Steve Lukather, David Gilmour, Allan Holsdworth, Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, Shawn Lane... etc. are NOT from this earth :)

  • And Bill Frisell, and John Scofield... and Franck Gambale.

  • no one would even think of trying to solo over a "trance" beat

  • yeah, and it's beautiful

  • agreed

  • this is jungle dnb bro

  • true enough

  • Amazing!!!!

  • Looking at this video, I just wonder why JImmy Page was awarded Rolling Stone's 9th most important guitarist, when Beck only get's 14th place? Beck's playing is so far out of this world, 1st place isn't even good enough...

  • Awesome............

  • fucking beautiful man

  • hauntingly beutiful

  • Jeff beck = cheap solution to getting high

  • Whata heck is Batten playing?

  • I think it's a Stargate.

  • I know what instrument she plays. I was asking what was she playing in this recording. I don't hear anything from her guitar on this track.

  • xD

You have to bear in mind that this video is just the studio track played over a live performance. That said, it looks like she is playing a guitar with a synth controller, so there you go.

  • That is sorta obvious if you you've been playing for 25 years, isn't? No MTV or your tube those days. We had to figer it out by listening to vinyl records and try several ways to get it down. Funny, I always played Beck mostly using my thumb and index finger, only to see that he plays the same way 20 years later. thanks anyways.

  • you can't get it out of youtube, but she's playing extremely low bass.

get the vinal/cd and put it through a good pair of speakers

  • Is this live?
