Sabres prospect Brayden McNabb KO's Joey Hishon at 2011 Memorial Cup

I like McNabb and he's not normally a dirty player, but that's a very dirty play. Hishon ducked, but you don't elbow someone in the head just because they ducked. If it was going to be a shoulder to shoulder hit it would've ended up being shoulder to head. McNabb was coming with the elbow the whole way. Hope Hishon is able to come back. Both these guys should be in the NHL shortly.

McNabb is my cousin and I talked to him a while after the game and he said he didn't mean to give shot to the head. Plus brayden loves hitting guys skating through center Ice with their heads down, the elbow was an accident. Plus braydens 6.4 or 6.3 and hishons like under 6 feet

Whether Hishon lowered his head or not and whether or not Mcnabb had intent is irrelevant. Mcnabb led with the elbow, and that's why he got suspended the next game. It doesn't matter whether he meant to knock him out, you simply just cannot lead the elbow.

Wow...I can see the McNabb fans all over here!!! His head went into the elbow? WTF??? He raised his elbow to make a hit on Hishon...plain and simple! Did he mean to knock him out? Probably not. But that's what happens when you're skating and lift your arm up to make a hit. It's a dirty hit man, stop trying to clean it up.

I'm sad with this. McNabb isn't a dirty player. Watching it a few times. It doesn't look like it was really on purpose. He looks more like he was bracing for a side to side/shoulder to shoulder hit. It's unfortunate the way it turned out. I don't feel McNabb should have been suspended longer. I do wish Hishon could have played again though.
