  • Jeanna, love the concept but have a question. Which wire is the primary with center tap, the green or red? Also, regarding the inductor on the secondary, can you specify size of toroid, wire gauge, and number of turns.

    I think you cannot see it on this one. I made these videos to show the folks on overunity joule thief thread what I was doing. There is a lot of explanation and collaboration there. Many of the parts I used esp the toroid are no longer available. If you make a plain joule thief circuit as described in the make-zine video you will have the basic circuit I used before I added the secondary. This is not too helpful, but my things are packed away and I do not want to describe this wrong!
