Pokemon Black and White are better than that low quality choppy 8 bit bullshit. Trust me its far better that RBY. And you can't punish the game for how the Pokemon look.
I'm not punishing it for the graphics. Graphics don't make a game, and besides I'm being real here, how can R/B/Y be better than Black and White, it's obviously not. Generation I had bad gameplay and a bad story. It was also filled with so many glitches. Generation I was the most glitchiest generation.

@BelkZekrom I'l have to disagree. Black and whites were not a fail as I thaught they were going to be. The cartoon has actualy been looking a bit brighter than it was in D/P. Though I like to focus more on the games. My first one was Emerald and it was AMAZING between things like the contests and diffucult as hell battle frontier, but in B/W you get things like unlimited TM uses and the elite four is now comparable with Red. Although I admit alder sucks. Wallace and Steven forever =).

His dragon type has the stats of vomit compared to hydreigon. why would a volcarona being buffed to sweep with quiver dance use overheat? Accelgor? Elecktross has no weaknesses making it the perfect setup with things like light screen, toxic, thunderwave. Vanilluxe= pure ice = horrible. Water type like jellicent can learn ice moves too and recover, I'd use ferrothorn over excavilier personaly.

The games do have stories the main idea is to trade and battle and etc, but once again you are right, it doesn't really matter if a Pokemon game has a story or not, but its what the main idea that makes it a good series and never ending fun.

Actually, "Ash" has always been Red in all continuities. Play Gold/Silver/Crystal, Blue (the Red/Blue/Yellow Rival) is the eighth Gym Leader of Kanto (16th overall) and Red is waiting for you atop Mt. Silver.
The reason it's red and blue is because Red choose Charizard so by default Blue would choose Blastoise. That means Red would choose Venusaur in LeafGreen and Blue would choose Charizard by default.
Nowadays it's hard to keep up though thanks to Gold/Silver. It's not even based on the starters it's based on the legendary pokemon always assuming that the protagonist would choose one based on what color is comes first.

Not to mention that Red is technically the hero's character from Yellow.
The picture is sort of misleading. In the Manga, Red had a Venusaur and Blue had a Charizard, though I'm sure that in Red/Blue most of us had picked Charmander as are starter. :)

-Ash is way too overconfident, but Red is badass, he never even speaks.
-Ash's Level 100 Pikachu lost against a level 5 Snivy, but Red's Pikachu could sweep the whole of the Elite Four.

@CountofBleck *Buzz* Wrong! His name is still "Blue" in HG/SS! His name is "Green" in Japan, but his name is "Blue" in every other country! Have you even PLAYED the Gen. 4 remakes of GS? I have! I was so stoked when they came out here in the US, and I remember every moment vividly!

@pivotmaster in japan version gary is actually green and the later on virsions they come out with blue which is a girl in usa they switch the color versions from green to blue which we all know its garymotherfuckenoak then comes green which is a girl and there's your answer(:

i played them both.
red is the champion.
blue is gary which is the viridian gym leader.
maybe u hav a different version then mine.
cuz mine calls the "gary" from the anime in the games "Blue"
while the champion at *Spoiler Alert* mt. silver is "red"

@pivotmaster237 Whereas this is true, only in HG/SS. Blue was the champion in Pokemon R/B/Y and was beaten by red, Seeing as HG/SS takes place 5 years after, Blue isn't champion anymore and instead takes Giovanni's place (R/B/Y) as the Viridian Gym Leader, whereas Red is still champion at this point.
Not to mention that Red is technically the hero's character from Yellow.

The picture is sort of misleading. In the Manga, Red had a Venusaur and Blue had a Charizard, though I'm sure that in Red/Blue most of us had picked Charmander as are starter. :)

@acerz505 In the actual games, since it was Red and Green and Green/Blue/Gary wouldn't pick the one weak to Red and there starter corresponds to their name, Red has Venusaur and Green/Blue/Gary has Charizard.
Plus it would make sense because they picked the starter reversed to their name.

I mean, what you say makes sense, it's just that Red's journey in Pokemon Yellow is the canon one since he appears with all of the gift Pokemon you can recieve in that game in Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, Soulsilver, etc.
