just having an experiment with it, as stripped the head off and found some minor cracking around the pre combustion chamber inlets. Have replaced it with a recon head I had and built the engine back up with 505 turbo and injection parts. It will either work or it wont!
This 504 was made in France, though 504's have been made in many countries. The Indenor engine is also made under license by other manufacturers including Volvo Penta and Mahindra etc
i dont see why not but you would have to get the fuel pump changed and oil feeds for the turbo... the cylinder head on turbo models is also different but not sure why
hi there IIRC the pistons are different a turbo has a different compression ratio,im sure the valves on a turbo are different to,you'd also need a feed for the oil into turbo then a return back to block or sump+the pumps different its got a bit for delievering extra fuel when on boost i wouldnt advise it for easier to get a turbo engine running remember this engine can also be found in a freight rover
that is a very good engine, not the best but very reliable

These are great engines.
If kept oiled and cooled they often see upwards of 500.000 miles which is amazing.
What are your plans for this engine?

hi, do you know if it's possible to turbocharge a 2304cc N/a diesel? would the engine be strong enough or would I have to fit different pistons etc?
