hi, i am looking into building a 4 mil, my question is would 115mm rods fit on stock crank or do i have to buy a whole new crank? and will 68mm sleeves run in stock cylinders? thanks
@uae3276 110 or 115 rods will work on a 4 mil set up. It is the difference between a long rod and the short rod crank. However, your rods don't change on a 4 mil crank. It is the position your rod is located to the lobe that changes. You don't convert a stock crank to a 4 mil. You buy a new crank. I don't think you can fit a set of 68 mm sleeves in a set of stock cylinders.
@stevejakx14 Not very many people run fans. If you can't run this short of a time with little air movement then your jetting is way off. A correctly jetted and tuned banshee runs well with the stock cooling system in any climate.
Once I got the jetting right and the gearing correct for the set up it was putting out 80+ depending on the weather conditions. It is an HJR 4 mil motor fed by 35PWK carbs, advanced timing, custome cut domes, DD clutch, close ratio tranny gearing, CPIs in this video but running Shearers now. I am changing from a 4 over swinger to a 6 over for obvious reasons and adding an override this winter. Runs well now and even keeps up with a lot of 421 cub motors.
thats a nice bike, but im sorry to say that 60 hp and 32ft lbs of torque for a 4mill is pretty weak. that thing should have ATLEAST 75hp. somethin aint right.....what all is done to it besides the 4mill crank?
Yeah he can't figure it out ether the guy that built his motor told that it should be making 80hp but after so many dyno runs I think he's going to build another 4 mill and try again. I don't know exactly what else has been done
Thats my daddy's bike! Its doing well now, +6 swing arm, gasoline, and running about 80 HP.

Nice lookin Shee for sure, but I agree hp should be atleast 75 on a 4 mill. My midrange port stock stroke stock bore shee ran 65 on this dyno.
