Rap has such a bad name. Rap can be a very smart, creative, and helpful type of music. However, the music industry keeps pumping out all the gangster stuff. All the artists who had a horrible childhood, and talks about owning the streets, etc. Underground rap is much different. Listen to rappers like Atmosphere, Tech N9ne, etc. Listen to Eminem (older stuff) It's all from the heart, it's all real. Rap is free flow, and you spit out what is inside you. The music industy ignores that kind of rap.

I think a better question would have been, "What type of rap do you like?" Believe it or not, everyone likes rap to a certain extent. Rednecks, soccer moms, grannies, etc...everyone has that one favorite rap tune. I hate the way the media tries painting rap as some sort of disease upon society. It's ok for rockers to "pour some sugar on me" ,or have teenagers displaying their bodies in videos like Rag Doll or Runaway, but as some as hip hop's involved the double standard comes into play.
