With a $40 million budget you'd think they'd be able make something at least half decent. There are PS2 games with better CGI than this movie. And the director actually believed his movie would revolutionize the animation industry. The poor bastard.

I only saw it cause Jennifer Love Hewitt was in it (Favorite actress), and even that couldnt keep me from giving this movie a bad rating. (sorry, Jennifer Love Hewitt!!!)
Of course it is no work of art and is a bit outdated but Im sure about 80% of you brainless losers would love it if it had current Dreamworks/pixar graphics regardless of how bad the script really is. The director guy followed his greatest dream and finished his movie. It is not Finding Nemo but there are a lot of terrible craps with "cute graphics" around making tons of money.

I am not saying youre supposed to like it just because it is an independent film. But the amount of bullyng around this is too insane. I havent seen it but it doesnt look as bad as people are claiming. For what I know this is the director's first movie and I wonder how will he manage to pay back the 40 million dollar budget that was invested on it.
As an animator and an animation fan it concerns me that Pixar and Dreamworks are pretty much the only animation feature companies around. This kind of mentality does not not encourage for a change. I suggest people would watch this film before they bully it.
I suggest people not invest $40,000,000 in a story that is weak and unoriginal. Seriously The Tragedy Of Romeo And Juliet, and West Side Story did not end any wars or racism. This movie averaged two people per screen during the weekend of Dec 12 with over 2000 screens. Think of it this way: in the three or two days the movie's profits were being counted, only 2 people saw it. That means there was probably *one* person in that *one* theater who saw it on *one* day (8am-12am). Chances are that *one* person only saw it out of curiosity and probably sneaked into another movie as soon as he realized no one is gonna watch the crappy movie with him. That's how bad it was.
make that one. a friend of mine went to see that movie and he was the only person there! empty as hell!! but he make the most of it by talking on his cell, putting his leg up on the sit, booing the movie so loudly, and running from seat to seat! lol!!
This movie is actually not bad. The problem is Pixar and Dreamworks write for adults and and make the visuals for kids with a couple of cool songs. This storyline (copied and overdone) was dumbed down for kids with animation for kids with touchy feely message.
Equals fun for kids, boring for adults.
This movie will due well on DVD and Blu Ray. Fight Scenes are stunning and uses a different style of animation really only seen in video gaming. It is a better movie than reviewed.

This movie reminds me too much of The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride as in plot ... which better yet, reminds me of ANOTHER plot, Romeo and Juliet.

Actually, the lowest grossing movie in history was one that had 2,000,000 in budget, and gained a total of 30 dollars...of which 10 was out of pity......

It had an excellent voicing cast, but the story (do I have to explain), graphics (it looks like something the ps1 threw up!), and advertizing (only saw it on Saturday cartoons) made it fall through. Everything except the cast was just plain horrible...

This film smashed box office statistics... in a bad way. In was in theatres for 6 days, made $237 per theatre [there were 2,000+ screens], cashed in less than $700,000 in it's entire release [40 million dollar budget], Prinze Jr is deceased, and only got 16% on Rotten Tomatos. Wonderfully Bad!

This is an independent film folks.
Of course it is no work of art and is a bit outdated but Im sure about 80% of you brainless losers would love it if it had current Dreamworks/pixar graphics regardless of how bad the script really is. The director guy followed his greatest dream and finished his movie. It is not Finding Nemo but there are a lot of terrible craps with "cute graphics" around making tons of money.

I am not saying youre supposed to like it just because it is an independent film. But the amount of bullyng around this is too insane. I havent seen it but it doesnt look as bad as people are claiming. For what I know this is the director's first movie and I wonder how will he manage to pay back the 40 million dollar budget that was invested on it.

As an animator and an animation fan it concerns me that Pixar and Dreamworks are pretty much the only animation feature companies around. This kind of mentality does not not encourage for a change. I suggest people would watch this film before they bully it.

I suggest people not invest $40,000,000 in a story that is weak and unoriginal. Seriously The Tragedy Of Romeo And Juliet, and West Side Story did not end any wars or racism. The movies that make it and deserve to make it those movies have a powerful and controversial message that people had not thought of themselves.

I haven't seen this, mostly because the trailer make this movie look so stupid I just wasn't interested in watching another bad cliche fantasy movie with dialog written as if teens from the Valley in the 80's were speaking??? I mean, it's just so tired... I'll rent it just to see how lame it is....

Eh, if it were released back in 02-03 and actually had decent advertisements, it would've done alot better. still not "great" mind you, but it wouldn't have gone down as the epic fail of the century. They shuda cut this thing after 3 years of no movie. not nearly 10.
It wouldve done ok, that Garbage Antz did. Nowadays, its just ..."wtf is this mess?"

If this movie had been released in 2000 as "Final Fantasy: Delgo's Saga" it would have done respectable box office. Sadly, in 2008, it looks pitifully dated and inept compared to anything Pixar or Dreamworks is producing.

That's too bad...but it doesn't change the fact that this movie failed. People dying have nothing to do with how good a movie is. And so what if it was made in 99? All the more reason to reconsider releasing it.

This movie averaged two people per screen during the weekend of Dec 12 with over 2000 screens. Think of it this way: in the three or two days the movie's profits were being counted, only 2 people saw it. That means there was probably *one* person in that *one* theater who saw it on *one* day (8am-12am). Chances are that *one* person only saw it out of curiosity and probably sneaked into another movie as soon as he realized no one is gonna watch the crappy movie with him. That's how bad it was.

make that one. a friend of mine went to see that movie and he was the only person there! empty as hell!! but he make the most of it by talking on his cell, putting his leg up on the sit, booing the movie so loudly, and running from seat to seat! lol!!

This movie is actually not bad. The problem is Pixar and Dreamworks write for adults and and make the visuals for kids with a couple of cool songs. This storyline (copied and overdone) was dumbed down for kids with animation for kids with touchy feely message.
Equals fun for kids, boring for adults.
This movie will due well on DVD and Blu Ray. Fight Scenes are stunning and uses a different style of animation really only seen in video gaming. It is a better movie than reviewed.
