How does lowering taxes help the economy? The poor have more money to go out and buy shit that was made in China and the wealthy have more money to build more sweatshops overseas. What helps the economy is raising taxes and pouring that money into schools and also using it to help people start their own businesses so that we can become a more productive nation and start improving the trade deficit.

@fooschnikens I dont think that we need to raise taxes, but re-evaluate where the current tax dollars are going. Cut some of the useless programs out there and redirect the money to the schooling systems. I do agree that the schools need to put more emphasis on entrepreneurship and teaching kids to be more creative, instead of the zombie manufacturing of kids being taught to learn how to get a job instead of create one.

don't compare r. paul to reagan.regan stated publicly that he did not negotiate with terrorists, yet traded arms for hostage's.He did this by running covert operations around the globe.I was a nuclear weapons spec. in the usaf in the 80's.Reagan was always on the attack. paul has the right idea.fiscally responsible.bring the troops home.stop protecting american oil companies.
428cjet, Ron Paul completely disowned Ronald Reagan after his election, because Reagan brought the country deeper into debt and caused many conflicts overseas. Today, he labels Reagan, George Bush Sr. and Jr. as failures to the Republican Party because of how they misled the nation. Ron Paul is the only true peace maker left who wants us to butt out of foreign affairs.
Gee - Ron Paul did not disown Ronald Reagan, he has him on his slim jims and other campaign literature. You will notice he ran in 1988 after Reagan was out of office, not while he was in office. Ron Paul said Reagan did many things wrong, but overall he was good President. Now what Ron Paul did say was that George HW Bush was a BUM. But the video is not to bring attention to Reagan, but rather allow confused Republicans to see what Reagan stood for, which is what Ron Paul is saying.
HW Bush Conscience lol He's a Nazi. Took out Kennedy tried to take out Reagan twice. Allowed Monsanto to take control of the now 95% of the worlds genetically modified food supply. You can even trace drug war hypocrisy and Aids development back to the Bush family interests.

@yahwehdirtydog Reagan was a NEOCON tool. Instead of wasting US taxpayer money on WAR he spent a TRILLION dollars on the FAILED weapons system known as Star Wars. He raided the Social Security system and dumped TENS OF THOUSANDS of disabled Vietnam Veterans on the street to pay for it. He also sold narcotics to American children to pay for fascist terrorists who dragged nuns from their beds to be raped and murdered. THAT is Reagan's legacy.
HyperVonVandalits, Ron Paul is not on their team! They, the neocons, use the word Republican to get votes. Ron Paul is a purest - a true Republican. He is on the right team; they are the wrong team.
I agree, lizardfire. Abraham Lincoln, my favorite President, was a Republican, so the party had to have been very much different when it was first formed.
reagan also supported the illegal invasion of panama and the attendant slaughter of hundreds of innocent people. and grenada was under his watch as well. posterity tends to paint people in either a more or less favourable light than is appropriate as it reflects their actual contribution.
You can add,El Salvador,Chile,Nicaragua & the list goes on.The US has invaded/interfered in over 40 countries since the end of WW2.The US has a presence in over 100 countries. What Reagan said about not invading other countries was a lie.How many deaths on his hands? When did his Alzheimers start? He had his finger on the button?Scary!
indeed. i remember those days, thinking the end was nigh, all because of a cowboy who thought he had god on his side, (but really it was the bankers, the military-industrial hooligans, and the lobbyists). anybody who thinks it's about politics doesn't know enough about money, and what it makes people do.
There is momentum for Ron Paul if we could only unite and organize rally's and emailblast to every one we know especially people who still have primary this was the way I found out about Ron Paul please someone
In 1986 Reagan obtained an overhaul of the income tax code, which eliminated many deductions and exempted millions of people with low incomes. At the end of his administration, the Nation was enjoying its longest recorded period of peacetime prosperity without recession or depression.
A renewal of national self-confidence by 1984 helped Reagan and Bush win a second term with an unprecedented number of electoral votes. Their victory turned away Democratic challengers Walter F. Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro.
Dealing skillfully with Congress, Reagan obtained legislation to stimulate economic growth, curb inflation, increase employment, and strengthen national defense. He embarked upon a course of cutting taxes and Government expenditures, refusing to deviate from it when the strengthening of defense forces.
On January 20, 1981, Reagan took office. Only 69 days later he was shot by a would-be assassin, but quickly recovered and returned to duty. His grace and wit during the dangerous incident caused his popularity to soar.
Ronald Reagan won the Republican Presidential nomination in 1980 and chose as his running mate former Texas Congressman and United Nations Ambassador George Bush. Voters troubled by inflation and by the yearlong confinement of Americans in Iran swept the Republican ticket into office. Reagan won 489 electoral votes to 49 for President Jimmy Carter.
Not to mention your boy cokehead Bush was handed a fiscal surplus from Bill and now has us trillions in debt. He asks for money like some junkie drug addict, sad thing is congress supports his habbit. Last thing you should be arguing is fiscal responsibility with this "robust"economy we have....ha
He was also responsible for some of the most careless military defense spending in history. He raised taxes, pulled out of lebanon, and granted amnesty to 8 million immigrants(yeah a real conservative) Reagan was not the conservative you all delusionally think he was, maybe he was conservative in the way he carelessly spent money. Bill Maher said it best when he said "at least gays know when to pull out of a shit hole"
Accepting reality is the hardest of all human activity. There is so much disinformation from Media, Government and Religion, that we have little or no foundation for reality. To see reality you have to shut out all of what you are told and respond to experiences that are yours alone. Look at the position that you are in and ask, do you want that to continue?, if yes then mainstream is your route as that is how you got there, if no then Dr. Paul is the only alternative.
Reagan got elected by exploiting racial tensions between white and blacks insinuating that all blacks are on welfare and that he was gonna show them some tough love and get them off of it.
"cut spending" they like to call it.

don't be ignorant people. we need to progress not regress.
I think we should also talk and negotiate with the gangs in our neighborhoods. Let's give them prominence and respect and raise their level of political cache by making a deal with them. Let's be nice. Let's be civil. Really folks. If we are only nice to them...they will be nice with us. No. You can't negotiate with suicidal murderers. There is only one path: Victory over barbaric societies. Ron Paul. Read your history books. Listen to Ronald Reagan.
Right and I suppose you think the Chinese government is on board w/ our plan of Democracy? O, and Russia? O, and Africa? Hell, let's nuke the world because according to you it is inevitably going to happen to us if we aren't pounding them on their own turf. Give me a break. This scare tactic is old. Read your history. Read about Rome.
Dear Mr. Ronald Reagan. I am sorry to have to inform you but now we do all those despicable things you spoke of. This all started when you left us. That next guy and his thousand points of light, his new world order. Now his fear-mongering son. Oh how shameful. We have traded our freedom and the hope for peace for a false sense of security. Then again this is a nation built on principles. Maybe just maybe we will see the light once again. There is hope.

what the hell has talking ever done for us? nothing at all, its time to stop appeasing these cocksmokers and grow some balls. ron paul lost his nuts a long time ago.
that wasnt diplomatic talks my friend, that was reagan talking through a microphone telling the world to tear down that wall. i believe there is too much secrecy to "diplomatic talks" because they are never public and rarely commented on.
Lol! Nice way to talk to a vietnam vet, someone who has actually seen war. Hey Rambo war isnt what you see in the movies you dolt! People who dont fight the battles are always the ones who want to be in them.
Ronald Reagan is not running in this election. Ron Paul IS. And that is what really matters. Ron is by far the best man to provide positive change in this country and take us back to the intent of our founding fathers. Vote for RP!
RP needs votes in KS,OK,AR,LA,MS,AL & GA in the A O L Poll, he is behind by only a small margin in these states! He would have nearly the entire country if we can swing these few states! RON PAUL VICTORY!
The only problem I see with Ron Paul is he said, the Iranians said by the end of the year they'd let us see what they're doing. I want to know what they're doing NOW and Ron Paul is taking a polly anna-ish approach by trusting them to do as they say. I like the man but it looks mighty weak.
He HAS threatened to wipe Israel off the map (word for word) and if they acquire nuclear "power plants" that would be giving them the means to make a bomb.
We have tried diplomatic solutions with Iran, they simply refuse to comply to any restrictions. That is not to say we should not talk to them, to turn a blind eye to them and simply attack them would be insane, but to keep the threat of military action on the table against an obviously threatening nation is common sense.
I never said they had nuclear weapons. They are developing nuclear technology which can be used to make a nuclear bomb. and common sense will tell you that a country that threatens to kill an entire people does not deserve the means to build a nuclear bomb. Jesus, please read my posts before you respond to them.
How many crazy nuts have threatened the US before - too many to count, but that doesn't mean we nuke them, take N. Korea the leader of that country threatened to Nuke us, now we are giving them money and free electricity
Iran only spends 3.3% of there GDP on the military(the lowest of any persian gulf country) in turn Israel is getting 30 billion in military aid from us from 2008-2017. They are one of two countries(usa) that have active anti-billistic missles. They are one the most advanced middle eastern countries. Do some research it wont hurt you.
Seriously, do these buttheads actually believe the world will stand by and watch us heave nuclear weapons at sovereign nations because they will not capitulate? WHERE IS OUR SENSIBILITY. CAN YOU IMAGINE LISTENING TO RUDY'S HORRIFIC LISP FOR 4 YEARS? HE MARRIED HIS COUSIN FOR GODSAKES!
Iran is threatening to wipe Israel off the map and we are the only country in the entire world with the will, the power, and the balls to do anything about it. I'm not condoning a nuclear strike but we cannot let a people be tormented and threatened. The Jews have been tormented throughout history, we waited too long to prevent the Holocaust, I won't stand by while a nation plans to destroy a peaceful people.
what are they ganna bomb isreal with camels? You do realize if they ever attacked the US or Isreal with their now non-exsistant weapons(which the Bush administration hid) that we would wipe the off the face of the map...Oh but, they are just crazy people who can build nukes with their brain wazes so we mush bomb them and take all the oil they have while building more terrorism at the same time.
Kucinich and Ron Paul are right. If they do not get on the ticket, I say we all write them in on our ballots. I am not in the Democratic or Republican party, and I call on all thinking Americans to do the right thing. Vote for a Kucinich/Ron Paul ticket. Save our country and save the world.
I agree the we should defend our country if attacked but discussing hypothetical nuclear conflicts is pointless. It is my personal opinion that a leader should be able to divert conflicts with other countries by diplomacy, not threats of a nuclear attack. And by the way, once nuclear weapons start flying, the world is fucked anyways. It won't be like WWII, the human race, in all it's arrogance will destroy everything this time.
honestly - party afiliation aside - and - presidential campaign aside - the guy i would go for a drink with would be the guy who wants to talk... its that simple.
i love the whole ignorant liberal feel to youtube and all the thumbs up the pro-democrats get while the pro-republicans get the same treatment. they're all republocrats in the end and trade policy but just mask it in different ways to make it seem original.
go ahead, thumbs down me; it's not like someone whose opinion drastically differs from yours matters anyway otherwise you'd have a conflict of interests amirite?
so what was your opinion? to go bomb iran? the country with no nuclear weapons, and seriously no ability to attack us? oh accept in Iraq, because we put ourselves there.
oh no, you done just the opposite of what you've intended. You posted a video in support of Ron Paul and the old Republican ways, and yet somehow I'm not won over. Perhaps its the fact that Reagan attacked Grenada for no reason, as well as funding, arming, and training drug peddling nationalists, all while creating the ONDCP to look good.
just like bush claimed that we shouldn't police the world, and then go and puts us in iraq? it's the idea, and ron paul is the only one out there with the idea that we should stick out of everybody's business and stick to ours, the only difference is that ron paul has the voting record to back it, bush however doesn't, and have you heard of reagonomics?
Nope - obviously if you are intelligent I Ron Paul already has your vote, but if you are a brainwashed talk radio listening Republican, then I have to bring out the gipper
I find it hilarious that if someone disagrees with you that it makes them stupid and brainwashed. Take a look in the mirror next time you call someone brainwashed.
Ron Paul does not equal Ronald Reagan. How dare you imply such a connection. Ronald Reagan was NOT an isolationist. Ron Paul IS an isolationist.
Also, I believe that many people out there are far more intelligent than this pithy comment that you've left here. Your "brainwashed" implication sure speaks well for the "Ron Paul Cult" to which you seem to belong.
Ron Paul is not an isolationist. I'm sorry but, if you are ganna slander someone make sure it's true. I can't believe not bombing people and trading is isolationist, but attacking people, nation building, pre-emptive wars, being hostile, and blocking trade is friendly international relationships. The truth is you have no way to critize him as a man and you are not smart enough to debate his politics so you use untrue smears.
I'm guessing you meant "criticize", but I really can't tell. Regardless, if you don't call what he espouses isolationism, that's fine. What I will criticize is the connection and likening of Dr. Paul to Reagan. The fact of the matter is that there NEVER will be another Reagan, and Ron Paul sure as hell is NOT his second coming. Second, you don't know me, so any implication that I cannot debate on his "politics" is unfair. Shove off.
Ron Paul is better than Ronald Reagan - Reagan (who I voted for) made some huge mistakes because he listened to Bush's pals - he NEVER should have picked Bush as VP - he made a deal with the devil
Ronald Reagan was a great man, he and Ron Paul have so much in common. Ron Paul is not an isolationist, but a non-interventionist. When we had 200+ marines killed in Lebanon, Reagan did not attack - he pulled out. Research your history
Only Ron Paul stands out from BOTH party candidates. Wake up America. Bush and his Nazi gang wanna spread war for power and Hillary or Rudy will keep it going.
This is pretty disingenuously cut together in my opinion.
I personally think that the idea of deploying nuclear weapons against Iran is totally out of the question, but I think that this video takes too many liberties in editing just for a dramatic presentation.
Pathetic! Iran wants to destroy Israel! The Iranian regime murders its own people! They steel elections, murder gays, murder non Muslims.. It is sick and Ron Paul is completely dangerous to world peace!

428cjet 3 years ago
@yahwehdirtydog Reagan was a NEOCON tool. Instead of wasting US taxpayer money on WAR he spent a TRILLION dollars on the FAILED weapons system known as Star Wars. He raided the Social Security system and dumped TENS OF THOUSANDS of disabled Vietnam Veterans on the street to pay for it. He also sold narcotics to American children to pay for fascist terrorists who dragged nuns from their beds to be raped and murdered. THAT is Reagan's legacy.

We have tried diplomatic solutions with Iran, they simply refuse to comply to any restrictions. That is not to say we should not talk to them, to turn a blind eye to them and simply attack them would be insane, but to keep the threat of military action on the table against an obviously threatening nation is common sense.

taxidriver2929 4 years ago
I never said they had nuclear weapons.

Also, I believe that many people out there are far more intelligent than this pithy comment that you've left here. Your "brainwashed" implication sure speaks well for the "Ron Paul Cult" to which you seem to belong.
browncjames 4 years ago
Ron Paul is not an isolationist. I'm sorry but, if you are ganna slander someone make sure it's true. I can't believe not bombing people and trading is isolationist, but attacking people, nation building, pre-emptive wars, being hostile, and blocking trade is friendly international relationships. The truth is you have no way to critize him as a man and you are not smart enough to debate his politics so you use untrue smears.
taxidriver2929 4 years ago
I'm guessing you meant "criticize", but I really can't tell. Regardless, if you don't call what he espouses isolationism, that's fine. What I will criticize is the connection and likening of Dr. Paul to Reagan. The fact of the matter is that there NEVER will be another Reagan, and Ron Paul sure as hell is NOT his second coming. Second, you don't know me, so any implication that I cannot debate on his "politics" is unfair. Shove off.
