@TheWarriorchamp In Sweden the LGBT has done a number in restricting other people's rights to things like free speech as well as pushing their agenda to classrooms. The author of this video is mocking the lobby's power grab. In essence he is mocking this lobby's infringement on to the rights of others.
@CRTV1982 In what way have the LGBT-community limited your rights? Freedom of speech for example. Do you mean that you're no longer allowed to call someone a "fucking faggot"? Or say that homosexuality is like alcoholism? Because you should now that freedom (of speech and all other freedoms) is limited, and always should be. My freedom ends where yours begin. That means I have the right to call you whatever I want, but you also have the right to not be called that. Therefore we have these laws.
@joelwiklund90 Ah, and do you want the government to tuck you into bed and coddle you if you skin your knee too?
Since we are puting others in prison because they hurt someone's feelings, at what point are they going to limit the horrible things said about the US, Firearm Owners, Christians, Nationalists, etc... in Sweden? You guys complain that Mr. Hammarberg has been lying about Sweden but so far you are proving his point.
What I am saying is just the basics of liberalism, based in the French Revolution (Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité), and what I mean is that there's a difference between free speech and hate speech. I don't believe people have the right to say horrible things about anyone. About their actions, maybe, but not about who the person are.
@joelwiklund90 Except that what modern Liberalism proposes is obviously not liberty when you get down to the meat and potatoes of what they want. That should be obvious if you can be fined or jailed merely on what you say. You do not get "Equality" with modern Liberalism either as certain groups get special priviledges and protections. There is also really no real Fraternity either as groups are constantly pitted against one and other to keep them bloc voting for the same worthless politicians.
@joelwiklund90 And what about those people that say horrible things about firearm owners, Christians, whites, the USA, and the other non-protected groups? You consider that right? Look if you start regulating speech because it "offends" some then how much freedom do you really have? Moreover, you guys seem to have quite a problem with rape which from what I have read seems to be prevailent overthere, what on earth are you doing focusing on name-calling? I would be more "offended" if my neice was
@joelwiklund90 raped than if someone "called her a name". Here is a bit of advice, you need to get your priorities straight. Name-calling? You know how many names I have been called? By people who support those same "political correctness" politics? I have seen way too many of those who advocate them who can not seem to live by them when a demographic they hate comes along. Moreover, you don't hear me whining. Next time you get so hurt over name calling try to remember that you are not in
@joelwiklund90 daycare anymore or maybe Sweden has gotten that bad in that respect. Either way grow up. Stop acting like how our First Graders act: "Mrs. Teacher, Billy called me a stupid-head!" "Chancellor of Justice, Frank called me a fucking faggot!" Are you starting to understand what I am telling you?
@CRTV1982 I don't advocate for neoliberalism, modern liberalism, libertarianism or any of that crap. And I've already said that I don't believe anyone have the right to say horrible things about anyone.
Look, this isn't about being offended. It's about being able to live your life without being threatened or driven to suicide simply because of who you are. I've had a schoolmate pointing a knife at me and screaming he would kill me. I wasn't offended, but I was afraid to ever leave my house again
@joelwiklund90 Communication of a threat is ALREADY illegal even in the US and it is not what I was talking about. I am talking about people being arrested merely because someone called them a name they "didn't like" or said something they "didn't like". Example was the case of one of your Christian Ministers that went to jail because your LGBT was so "offended" when he preached that "homosexuality is immoral". You want to hear about somone advocating violence?
@CRTV1982 Yes, but the threat isn't my point. The ignorance is.
That's really a bad example since he didn't go to jail. He was freed by the supreme court. What he said was that "sexual abnormalities" is like the societies cancer and that these "sexually twisted people" rape animals. I don't think he should go to jail, but he really proves that people need to be educated. Besides, I can't think of one person in Sweden that's went to jail because of "offensive language".
@CRTV1982 But really I don't blame him. He grew up, apologized for what we did and we talked about it over a smoke. But the experience made me realize that people need to be educated. Why is my sexuality a reason to hate me? It shouldn't be, and that's why I wrote a bill to add LGBT issues as a part of sex-ed class, which passed by the way. I believe hatred is born out of ignorance, and I hope you can agree with me that we don't want a world of hatred...
@joelwiklund90 I have seen atleast TWO youtube users advocate the bombing of the NRA this year. I have heard one advocate the murder of "gun nuts". Obviously I am not worried about him or his supporters as they are too chickenshit to practice what they preach and if they tried something like that on me they will reduce their lifespan significantly. You don't want a world of hatred? What about your country's oppressive nature to Christians, Firearm Owners, and others?
@CRTV1982 I've already answered you about the Christians, US, NRA, etc. No one have the right to threat, preach violence against or anything like that, against anyone. Some people hate gays, some hate the US, it's all the same, ignorance, but I hope we all can evolve beyond that someday.
@joelwiklund90 Okay, it still happens though right? Now if it is a legitimate communication of a threat that is illegal and it should be. However, just expressing a view of opinion? No matter how offensive, obscene, or untrue it is asking government to make legislation or allowing there of has often unintended and adverse consequences.
@joelwiklund90 Look at a big mistake the US made when they passed Prohibition, the intend was to increase productivity, eliminate alcohol related issues, and decrease family related issues primarily. We got none of those with Prohibition and as a result of the profit margins for bootlegged alcohol increased dramatically so did the increase of financial supply to the mob. Which lead to the St Valenstine Day Massacre, which gave them the ammo to pass the NFA of 34'.
@joelwiklund90 The point of explaining that to you is to get you to understand that when you ask a government to take responsibility for you or when you demand a government to legislate special favors or protections for a particular group no matter who they may be you wind up with pretty negative consquences. I would like to see a world without hatred too, however, I do not believe we will see that day while people are so willingly to ask a government to step in at the wrong times.
@CRTV1982 It sounds to me that you're advocating modern liberalism (iow government = bad) but never mind.
It works both ways doesn't it though. When you create laws saying that discrimination based on ethnicity is illegal, this includes everybody. Same thing with sexuality. It isn't protecting special groups. It's protecting everybody.
And when it comes to hatred, I still believe education is a key word, but it's hard when people think "the gays are recruiting the children"...
@joelwiklund90 The problem is that modern liberals use the rhetoric to push through laws that do not have a thing to do with what they say. For example, racial quotas, the claim that they are "making it so minorities are not discriminated against due to their race." Many of the laws proposed go against freedoms that would be otherwise accepted by the people. Here in the US anyone who criticizes Obama's actions often gets labeled a "racist" by his supporters when race had nothing to do with it.
@joelwiklund90 I do not know if I would go as far as to say "gays are recruiting children", though what I would say is that there is a lobby here as there seems to be one in Sweden that is pushing topics that should be left in the bedroom on to kids. I tend to disagree that is the right approach. A lesbian I knew was fired from McDonalds a few years ago. She claimed she was fired because "she is gay." When I talked to other people I found out she was fired because she was having sex with her
@joelwiklund90 girlfriend in the kitchen on the clock. You can not possibly say that was discrimnation now, can you? The point is that when you have people claiming that cases like those are discrimination, then how can you expect people to take the real claims seriously? Is there any doubt a straight couple would have been fired in that situation? As for me, firearms are my hobby and I would NEVER want tax dollars in school to educate kids on firearms as when the government subsidizes something
@joelwiklund90 There is obviously an agenda present. I would prefer the NRA do it because they are, despite what the media may tell you, a very knowledgeable source on firearms and much of their work does deal with the proper handling of firearms. Many also do not seem to know that they were not founded as a lobby though.
@CRTV1982 What you're referring to is most likely social liberalism or classical liberalism, not modern liberalism or neo-liberalism. Well, we can argue whether or not sex-ed class should exist but my point is simply that if it is, it should be comprehensive (iow actually mention other things than man+woman=marriage+kids)
And when it comes to your friend, she's was obviously not discriminated. But I still don't get what this "agenda" would be?
PS. There's a difference between sexuality and hobby
@joelwiklund90 I would most likely fall in the category of a "Classical Liberal" or a "Libertarian".
Said agenda I speak of is one not actually about helping homosexuals but is rather to use them to push a form of totalitarianism. Those who push this agenda do this under the guise of "helping homosexuals" but in reality they are dividing homosexuals from heterosexuals to take essential individual liberties from both. That is my view on it in a nutshell.
@joelwiklund90 As for a difference between a sexuality and a hobby, well, obviously they are different. Laws against sodomy do not put people in prison for being homosexual but put them in prison for the acting or the perception on your sexuality. Just as firearms enthusiasts are not put in jail for liking firearms but rather put in jail for violations or percieved violations of "weapons laws". You understand what I am saying?
@CRTV1982 Well, in that case you should be in favor of same-sex marriage, or rather that 2 or more consenting adults can make an agreement (marry) without government interfering.
How it is dividing to be wanting to educate people? I really believe that the work being done, by RFSL in Sweden for example, is bringing people and families together rather than dividing them.
From here on it's hard to discuss, 'cause I can't prove that I'm right and neither can you, so it just boils down to belief.
