  • he sounds like Daughtry! He is good.

  • lol thnx alot! it was just a little wierd cuz he was wearing eye liner. not that its bad but its wierd for a guy to. but thnx lol

  • wait, is he christian? it doesnt seem like it with all the eyeliner and the heavy metal lol but the lyrics are awesome!! beautiful song!! :D

  • its the lead singer youre talking about right? well red is a christian band, so i think its safe to assume that he would be christian too.

  • BEST BAND

  • I just love Red.

  • god bless you all

  • RED I LOVE IT FOREVER !!

  • Badass!

I am going to bump this in front of my church.

  • Great Song

  • best band eeeeveeeer

  • I love this song......

  • wow!

  • also about like how god helps u get away from things youve done in the past such as addictions. like Ibanez said...its about CHRISTIAN life.

  • Red is christian...so ya all of their songs are about God and how When life gets hard, that Jesus can help you get through. Even though you dont always realize the songs are christian when you first hear them. However, the songs are made so that everyone can relate to them. Thats why i love RED so much!!!

  • RED is totally underrated!!

  • HOW THE FUCK can this only have 31,373 views!? Its one of the best songs ive ever heard!!

  • it's a christian band.. the media murders that. Even if the band is amazing like Red.

  • 34,874.............+1, and don`t get mad. This band is pretty cool.

When this song be in every station of the radio. Thats when you have to be worried.

  • this song is awesome

  • dude- their songs arent always about god, theyre about life

  • True, God and finding their way in life through Jesus mostly...

  • this is true.. but the life they are talking about is the struggles of a christian life. Ive looked at these lyrice(the album) and he mostly talks about his sin addictions and him breaking from them, and all that. But you got a point.

  • ok, but you also have to understand that when they write lyrics, they want anyone to be able to relate to them, you do have a point though

  • your right

  • mhm i agree

  • When you want to know if this is a Christian Band, you can enter it in Wikipedia and there is the solution!

furhermore i know it already before ;)

  • Brothers Randy (bass, piano) & Anthony Armstrong (guitar), Michael Barnes (lead vocals) are from Linesville, PA. Randy A.-"Red" symbolizes the blood of Christ. We wanted a name that was short, meaningful and easy to remember."

    Joh 10:10

  • cont'd from New Release Tuesday (dot) com, Red's Bassist Randy Armstrong-

'We... were hoping that Christian's would not be afraid to talk to others about dark subjects and to share the negative experiences in life that led them to seek God out for the answers. This can help people to see how you got out of your struggles and into a relationship with God. We know this hasn't been easy for some people, but we have to reach out to others, and stop being silent about our faith!' Joh 3:16

  • From New Release (dot) com-Bassist Randy Armstrong discussing off their 1st CD, "End of Silence", "End of Silence is something we would like to turn into a movement where Christian's can openly share their faith with others and talk about where they've been in life."

  • best song on the album!!!

and this song is about God.. all of their songs are! lol

  • yes, that could be.. so for red it means god too

but the discussions won't stop with that :P

  • Red (usually capitalized RED[5]) is a Grammy nominated American Christian[6][7] alternative metal[8] band from Nashville, Tennessee established in 2004.

  • the background violins and all that stuff are in every song unique and beautiful

please stop discussing whether it´s a christian band or not.. who cares? It has a meaning for you (could be God) and a meaning for Red. that doens't mean it has to be a christian band if you relate it to God. who knows what Red means.. i think you should keep it to yourself and

    enjoy the fucking song!

  • hovy1414

    That's very true! 8)

  • ppl go into the books and look up the dates and times that are recorded and put them together(i dont have theat much time),but if u would actually look at some of the books ppl have on this topic of when the earth was created, and not talkin about that dumb bigband crap but, when man was first created and life on earth, its amazing to see wat ppl come up with.

  • wat cover is this from i think its theyre own

  • awsome song!!

  • RELIGION IS FAKE :D

    Lol

  • Ummm religions are real.

Religion is generally defined as the practice of worshipping/believing in and/or contributing certain acts/items to the worship of some "higher" being. Lots of people do this so religion is not fake.

Perhaps you mean the things the religions are based off of are fake?

  • you all know that this is a christian band... the song takes on a whole other meaning when you know that. the song is referring to God.

  • for fucks sake people need to stop talking shit on here!!

talk about how awesome this song is!!!!

  • i honestly cant see how this can be a christian song

  • Do you mean like because it sounds like hes angry with God? Its a christian band, and hes talking about God but not in a hateful way.. he doesn't feel like God is near and has left him and he just wants to be whole again with Him.

  • is this a religious song because i thought i heard it on the christian radio station ???

  • yup, it is :)

  • for one red is a christian band thats why u always see jesus in the comments people leave, if u did not know and for anyone who cant seem to understand that, wow it would seem like it would be easy to find this info out but thats people now days

  • Hell dude who gives a god damn about religion?

It's good music, good tune, good meaning, it's music what else is it?

You shouldn't classify GOOD music by what it is, but how good it is...

  • Agreed.

  • not exactly how i'd have put it, but agreed. =]

  • As I said before, just because they're a christian band doesn't mean that they're necessarily singing about God or Jesus. It's open to interpretation in my opinion (though this particular song probably is).

And yes, it would be easy, but I know that I personally rarely read someone's comments on youtube and decide I better go google that to find out if it's related to the band.

Then again I'm also bemused by all the negative attitudes of the people posting these comments, so... :s

  • And thats the cool thing about red. They atractt christians and non-christians with lyrics that have two meanings.

  • Oh yea. It's always good to get diversity. =] A lot of them just end up fighting though and usually just repeating themselves over and over and trying to force their views on each other. :s

  • I know. People cant have human conversations anymore

  • what i find funny is that almost all of Red's songs have comments concerning Jesus Christ i mean who cares but any ways I totally agree with dnthatem3cuzipwn with the whole goosebumps part everytime that somewhere is sung i feel like im looking for something "somewhere" lol

  • man the chorus gives me chills its so good!!!!!!!

  • musicianship like this gives goosebumps sometimes

  • I agree completely.

  • dont care if its a christian song as long as the song rocks thats good enough for me and in this case i bloody love RED although not many people hav heard of it. They ovioulsy havent lived. we who love REd mmust re -educate them :) *smirks*

  • very emotional song.red just always impresses me with every song they have.i hope the next album they make turns out more successful then the previous two^_^

  • love this song ^_^

  • Red is actually the first band who every song of theirs I like. I think the main singer puts a hell of a lot of emotion into the words he sings, you can even hear it. Listen to how he says some words.

Each of their songs has their own meanings, christian or not, you'll find a meaning that suits what you believe. And personally, I don't think their songs have any relation to god, if you listen to the lyrics it sounds like hes singing about people he's met in the past that changed his life.

  • Deadly Elegance your right

  • Ok, if you are going to chew us out on our own topic, where you where never invited, make a smart comment on "Free will", I suggest you take more of that mental medicene you're taking, It's not working very well

And i don't care if you flame me after this, atleast it will maybe help other kids like you, and less thick headed

  • i love this song ^_^

  • dont ruin the song by having a religious debate over it. you fucking cretants.

  • rofl oh no

  • lol wow thats funny..

while people should refrain from profanity, letting one slip out doesnt mean you cant listen to christian bands..

    ._.

  • How can You accedentaly 'TYPE' the F word.

But I do aggree, you can listen to Christian bands even if you are aren't a Christian

  • well...what i meant was..maybe one of those "caught up in the moment" kind of things...?

    ^^;;

  • WTF! Let them debate over it!

    Free will!

They're adding a meaning to the song by talking about it and you can get lost if you don't like it, Mr. Disturber.

  • I believe in god, but I dunno about everything in the bible. I would consider myself a christian though, but I also listen to music like Marilyn Manson and Lamb Of God, not because I like their lyrics, but because 1) it sounds good to me and b) everyone has their own opinion and if you want to express it through music go ahead.

    This song still rules though

  • You don't believe in God if you aren't sure of the Bible's relevancy. No need to consider yourself a Christian if you have no repentance and belief.

  • Okay Pastor G.

  • Do you even know what repentance is? Repentance has nothing to do with a specific religion, it's confessing to god about stuff. You really need to know what your talking about. And nobody is sure of the bible's relevancy, because there is no proof. All we have is faith, and that is what I do have, so yes, I am a christian idiot.

  • Actually repentance means turning from something. 180 degrees, bout face, just look it up in the dictionary.

  • repentance is the action of committing penance... I have no idea what dictionary you are using but it's entirely off.

  • "Repentance is a change of mind, or a conversion from sin to God" Direct quote from a random online dictionary. I don't know where you stand religiously, but like when the Bible speaks of repentance, it's not talking of penance, as works cannot get you to heaven, its a change.

Also, you know in the army when they say "bout face," meaning for the soldiers to turn 180? In one foreign army they actually say "repent". In more modern times "repentance" has been interchanged with remorse sorrow etc

  • Here is the perfect analogy for you. If you were to call a dog's tail a foot, how many feet would the dog have then? The answer is four, because no matter what you call the tail, it is still just a tail. What you have referenced is something called a metaphor, are you aware of them? Now about your little religious soliloquy... it makes no sense. Penance is synonymous with repentance. I have no clue where you keep getting these random definitions... it is obvious you are looking them up.

  • In modern times, yes... penance and repentance are indeed synonymous, but they weren't always. In english we tend to do that, such as one expression can changce in meaning over time into something totally different. As I already stated, repentance was originally changing direction, now over time has been used interchangeable with penance and such. As for the dog analogy, it doesn't say Im wrong, or you're right or vice versa. Honestly, I don't see why we should argue over this, but feel free to

  • This isn't an argument, its a constructive debate discussing several points. An argument requires two focal points to be held by various parties in order to discuss the validity of one or the other... neither of us really have a point if we are going to just continuously expand our responses like this.

  • Stop using big words! Repentance means you bow down, say you are sorry and that you have sinned, admit that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, and there you go.

  • uhh... It's not really my fault that you cannot understand these "big words". Have you even read our responses? Obviously not from your own response. Please, grow up. I am not even sure where you stand.

  • thats the exact thinking that causes people to become mindless slaves in the world. i donnot beleave in god, therefore i will not bow down to any imaginary figure in a book that has no actuall proof that any thing happened as it said back then, and i will not say that i am sorry for doing what every human being dose on a daily basis

  • It is for what you do on a daily basis that sinks you down on a lake of sins and wrong things. And if there is no God, then explain the creation, the stars, the planets? and dont say that it all exploded from nothing creating something else.

  • No offence, but it's not really practical to ask someone for their opinion and then tell them not to say something that may be their opinion. :s

  • Well thats what everyone says. Nothing created everything. I was asking for a more reasonable explanation.

  • Mmhm. I'm just saying he may believe that and if he does then fine by him lol. to each their own neh?

  • Just because "every other human being" does it does not make it morally sound, it just means that they are all wrong and sinful, which we all are.

  • But I imagine you'd bow to a queen or king or something like that. :s I have to say though that just because someone believes in god doesn't mean their a mindless slave. :s The planets, for example, you believe in their existance, But the only proof you have of them is from books/movies/what other people tell you. You've never actually been to one, most likely. Or if not, then there IS something, SOMEWHERE that you, personally, have no proof of the existance of, but believe in nonetheless.

  • and how would you explain the existance of a being that could be around before time and space came into being. thats not possible.

  • Technically if that being created time and space it would be ridiculous to expect it to come after their creation. That'd be like a parent being born after their children had been.

Although I never said I could explain his existance. I was simply pointing out that believing in him doesn't make you a mindless slave.

    (running out of characters)

  • I, personally, think mindless slavery comes from being so closed minded & deadset against something you ignorantly attack anyone with an opposing opinion on the bases of they disagree with you :s

I'll ask you something though (because I've always been curious and since you know everything maybe you can help me with this =] ) if the universe was created from an explosion of an atom that suddenly got tired of living for whatever reason, where did the atom come from? :s

  • Thank you for not being stupid and ignorant. <3

  • lol well I do what i can ;P

  • universe, not entire space.

    :]

it obviously drifted into an empty part of space and exploded, forcing all the other universes aside.

But thats my opinion, and tbh idc what happened in the 1st place <3

  • Mm. Well some people say the universe, some say it created everything (but itself I guess).

I don't agree with that, but to each their own as far as I'm concerned. =] Unless they go out of their way to attack other peoples' opinions... :s and still to each their own, i'll just debate with them a little (or a lot). =]

It would no doubt be interesting if an atom had done all that, though also scary considering technically all it would take is one atom to undo it all again too, neh?

  • yeh it is kinda scary tbh.

thats why a lot of people are scared of that partical accelerator they've just made.. twats are trying to recreated the big bang.. if it goes wrong we're all screwed Q_Q

the one thing i've always wondered is when it ALL started.. how can anybody prove that? thats where i get stuck in the middle of science and religion

  • Mm. Honestly if it comes right down to it I'll be more worried if they SUCCEED in recreating something such as "the big bang" than if they fail. I mean if they fail, chances are I'm dead, so nothing I can really do about it and it won't matter much. But if they succeed that'll be a truly terrifying thing. Idt humans-- god-created or not-- should hold that kind of power. But that's just me personally.

And yea, lol. Idt even religion says exactly WHEN it started. (running out of characters)

  • While it would be interesting to know, though, the fact that it did start is really the more important one, neh? Idt anyone could prove absolutely when the world began (as much as scientists would like to).

One thing everyone seems to believe on-- religious or not-- is the fact that it will end. The only difference is how.

  • The world will end with the rapture. When Jesus comes to Earth and Jesus takes us to Heaven.

  • Well that's an easy answer to give christians/catholics/etc, but for those who don't believe in god/jesus that answer (though may be true) doesn't hold much weight to them.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just pointing out that people who don't believe in god/etc won't agree with that. It makes the end quite a bit more uncertain for people who don't.

  • But wat do you believe

  • I disagree, i believe in God and im not christian so im not sure if its relevant or not.

  • Well, you are right.

Cussing or profanity isn't relevant for being a Christian. But that doesn't mean you can.

God has this thing called "Consequences"

  • who cares if they are a christian band or not! They are amazing!

  • i also think that way before my friend, but when i receive eternal life, all this religious stuff makes sense to me, you have nothing to lose but much more to gain! thanks!

  • Ok but saying that you have nothing to lose but more to gain makes sense but at the same time if that why you believe then it isn't real faith but faith out of fear of no faith. But i'm not against God either.

  • what will GOD feel if we didnt witness to others? please read Matthew 10:32-33 its God 's Great Commision to us believers!

  • Ok. This band is Christian. But I'm not. And I'd rather people not clutter the comment board with religion and all it's weirdness...

  • "amen" i fucking agree.

    I'm a musician and a music lover.

these guys have pleased my ears for a long time, this album is just more juicy goodness that i get to enjoy in my car while i work and play.

  • LIsten to that sound at 0:33 .. fuckin great!!! it actually sounds a little better on the album, But I get it

  • One of my favs from them, great song

  • Just like in the title of the CD. This CD can sound so innocent. His voice in this CD is so powerful and can grasp anyone's attention. He has such a great way of writing a song, then, performing it. Simply great !

I was in the car with one of my friends, I had this song playing really loud and two of my other friends asked me who the artist was, and said that he sounded like Breaking Benjamin, only a bit heavier and a higher pitched voice. Anyways, one of my fav bands, perhaps my fav CD.

  • it doesnt sound like Breaking Benjamin to me... and just finding this band.. i can say i dont really like their songs... maybe some but i havent hear many yet

  • This song melts me and moves me at the same time. So awesome! And I don't use that word awesome loosely.

  • i dont really like rock but i think this band bang, prolly my fav band now(use to be linkin park)

  • Rock music isn't some monster that's going to get you when you're sleeping. Try out some good rock bands and you'll see that it's nothing to be afraid of. Although I definitely wouldn't really suggest this band (too cookie cutter) and certainly not Linkin Park. Talk to someone who knows.

  • in your opinion, what are some good bands?

  • What's your poison man? Hard rock? Pop rock? Indie?

  • Freakishly unintelligent to suggest that one musical group is better than another, haha.

Whether or not music appeals to an individual is completely up to that particular individual.

    Open your mind up, please.

  • that makes not sense just because you may not like someone doesn't mean they aren't going to have some good songs.

  • What does everyone mean by "Go Platinum"? I have no clue what that means. S O N G R O C K S
  • ALL OF RED'S SONGS EFFING RULE

  • indeed they do

  • MAAANNNN this new album is tottallly amazing...and this song drives me up my soul...awesome stuff... ps. chek out my drum cover for this song! this song is 5 starrr

  • this song really reaches me, even without really knowing the lyrics

  • This is a sad, but good song. same with Lost off their first CD

  • i can't get over this song! its so beautiful and hardcore at da same time <3

p.s. uh-oh guys wckaiser00 is here. -_- run for the hills.

  • beautiful !!!! awesome !!!

  • yeah, intro definitely reminds me of old-school Linkin Park.

  • Fucking awesome

Absolutely the closest this album gets to "Breathe Into Me"

    Brilliant track!

  • lmao the beggning sounded like linkin park - paraniod lol

  • I got this album for free. Radio station in my area gave away like 5 for the first 5 to come to the station and pick em up. I was #1 to get there. This band is really good and I would love to see them live. Anyone else think that #1 intro sounds similar to linkin park style? Regardless they are great, death of me is good too!

  • very reminiscent of breaking benjamin. but i think i like red better. good song.

  • Come on guys we all need to get out and buy 1-2 (or more) copies of this album to not only make the statement that RED ROCKS but th ehelp them go Platinum! =]

  • i love the chorus in this lyrically, vocally, and melodically. the outer verses are ok, but the chorus is one of the best ive heard.

  • lildanial555 has a point. They're obviously gonna sound different in their new album... But it makes them even better, I mean, I've loved this band ever since they came out. All I can say is, they just keep gettin' better. Lol, they were even amazing at ROTR. For those of you that have no clue what that is, it's Rock On The Range, an anual concert in Columbus, Ohio.

  • This is so ridiculous, This is RED's SECOND album. Of course it's going to be different. If bands didn't grow musically, then it would be like buying the same album over again. Plus, every album has a background to it, every album is inspired by something different. I actually lov e this album more than the first because his voice is more distinct and more clear. The first album was a bit more power driven.

  • hmm, this could be my new favorite from the album, it's catchy

  • awesome!!

a question: where do you get this that's not yet released?

  • Reds songs are so emotionally moving and some beautiful some good clean hard rock and some that make you want to get up and dance like a fool

  • How do you know how the song should have ended, are you their producer? Seriously, if you're going to say it's a great song, don't nit pick and claim there's something wrong with it.

  • Just because you criticize when you want to doesn't always mean you're critique means jack. Unless you're in the studio working with the band on their songs, you have no right to claim that it shouldn't have been done differently and that if it wasn't, they screwed up. I'd hate to start a band and have the album reviewed by some nit picker like you.
