your body dosen't just account for carbs though when you exercise more. I've seen people have carb heavy carb heavy diets and still get very lean but it's because they are running at a deficit and are probably consuming enough protein to protect a ton of muscle loss. Also I don't need the explanation of what a refined carb is. I'm a type 1 diabetic, a marathon runner and am currently at 8 percent bodyfat. I'm not trying to prove anything but I'm well aware of basic nutrition ;)
@r3phon every carb raises blood sugar man. 20 grams of oatmeal and 20 grams of juice (excluding the fibre in the oatmeal) are going to make you fat. Also processed sugar dosen't make you gain fat, an excess in calories makes you fat. people following an IIFYM approach to fitness have been able to bulk or cut eating some crap.@frost310 is absolutely right about the "experts" comment
@birdman4birdlegs so because of that insulin responses are very critical in order to stay lean. The hormone insulin is responsible for helping us accumulate more fat in our fat cells.Raise your insulin (by consuming a meal loaded with carbohydrate) and your body will respond by accumulating more fat in fat cells (unless you need that carbohydrate for immediate energy).Keep your insulin levels low, and your body will release fat from your fat cells. In theory, this fat will be burned for energy.
@birdman4birdlegs The more you exercise, the more tolerant your body will be of carbohydrates. If you want to consume more carbs, work out more to account for them. The higher the amount of refined carbohydrates you consume, the greater the chance that your cells will become resistant to insulin, which will translate into poor insulin sensitivity.Refined carbs include many sweeteners, white flour, snacks, and sodas.
that's a lot offfff carbs....no good....carbs are good for the breakfast....complex carbs to keep ur energy high....slow digestion, which means u burn more calorites.....fruit juice= not good......too much sugar.....drink water , drink a cup of milk in the morning, or mix with oatmeal, add some fruits .....now, THAT'S what I call a diet.....that's what I follow
@ 0:22 Phytates! @ 0:56 Pasteurized filtered fruit juices have no nutrients! @ 1:00 Most Blacks and Asians are lactose intolerant; milk is for white people. Homogenized and pasteurized milk form grain fed cows is poisonous.
@samsam1234fg well, no. Electrolytes are molecules with electric charge, cations and anions. Sodium Na + , chloride Cl - etc. Pure water was h+ and oh - ions at equal amounts at neutral pH of 7.
These people on the internet all recommend to eat or drink something to restore the carbs fast. But they all forget that these advice are for BBs. As a common human being I don't care if I got my carbs right after the work out or hours later.
This guy is pushing the crap from the food pyramid. Since putting that pyramid into the public consciousness, we as a country have gotten even fatter.
PB is a shitty protein source.
This guy is giving bad advice, please do yourself a favor and read stuff by poliquin, berardi, etc.
Is this guy an idiot?! Granola bars, juice, and chocolate milk is loaded with SUGARS!! And its not even good sugars! This guy over here still looks kind of pudgy. It no wonder why Americans are still fat, weak, confuse, and depress!!

The human body can handle that very easy.

yea right juice with a lot of sugar is good....WATER PEOPLE IS GOOD
byrjyu 2 years ago 17
@byrjyu No actually water, WHOLE FRUIT, and tea is the BEST!!! You need your natural vitamins. H2O basically is only beneficial for proper hydration.
