  • Is the humiliation of women in Italy the outcome of nine years "Berlusconi" or was he a response to this italian idiosyncracy? Finally an overdue change seems to be taking place among the society. Lorella Zanardo speaks out for millions of italian women: "Images are not just plain images, they are means of communication, memory, knowledge and education. They are a faithful mirror of a certain behavior.

  • This video was so moving and inspirational to me. I cried so many times!

It seems like, in my community at least, the moment you don't let yourself be objectified and used by men is the moment that you become ugly and undesirable. No boy will see my face unless it's covered in makeup, despite my being very polite and sweet to them. I am also mocked even with makeup for having small breasts. I hate it.

Everything about this is just so sad, and so very wrong... Thank you for posting this video.

  • That women in the end is like a piece of meat!

  • Some evo psych book said women have higher percentages of body fat and rounder faces in order to mimic the appearance of children, so men would be subconsciously compelled to protect them and take care of them, since they are physically weaker. When I meet girls with more childlike personalities, that's what I feel like doing. I want to support them and make them happy. I have never felt this for a feminist. Make your arguments, but this is how most men feel and this is who most men love.

  • Grazie per questo documentario... mi sento umiliata ogni giorno...

  • a woman's job is to look hot. that's it.

  • @st393736 Welp, I guess that means we can't eat or sleep or drink or have babies then. The whole human race is going to die out. Happy with yourself?

  • I am shocked. But she is right. Why are we not speaking out. We need women to speak out and against this level of slander. We need women thinkers to speak out or our daughters will not be able to know who they really are.

  • Italian TV is pure shit.

  • Thank you for making this, this needs to be seen!

  • This is.. this is... beyond horrible. I have no words to desribe how I loath all the actions which were shown in here. As a proud female who is studying to became successful and trying to achieve somethin in life, I cannot belive it's actually happening. Girls, Women- have a dignity! Don't be afraid to be yourself!

  • an excellent documentary, thank you for the subtitles!

  • Absolutely disgusting.

  • I totally agree with what the message is - this sexualisation of female has now reached children and is just destroying the very ideas of morality. But that said, I think it would be better to just translate this documentary, subtitles are not most convenient way to get the message through.

  • Your ideals for women are noble but misguided. Prostitutes and stage whores have no respect for themselves and to form a movement to get respect for them is redundant. The comments on here are even more dumb. You have this in your own countries you idiots... This is why the human species is in trouble, even when we see a problem, like the one you're showing in your documentary, we can't even form a logical conclusion. Almost all of the commentors here are conditioned to have manipulated opinion.

  • Though I am male, I have to say this is disgusting. Last scene was so sad: young girl hanging in the air - and she is treated like a cut of meat! The worst thing is that she is laughing: she thinks it's kind of fun. But sadly it is not: men are just teasing and deriding her for her stupidity. I wouldn't like to see my daughter hanging on a hook and acting a air-dried ham which gets a stamp in its buttock. But maybe someone wants to be ham, who knows...

  • @JackTheMaster100 if you look at that scene once more, you might realize that she is not really laughing as though having fun but rather laughing in despair. And maybe you should not think about what would you like your daughter to do but what would you like to be done with yourself; that is the right comparison.

  • @terezkvitek The whole movie of the girl on the meat hook was on youtube but it is taken off. She doesn't like it! When you want to see the whole thing google Nina Moric Scherzi a parte.

  • @JackTheMaster100

I don't think she wants this. Scherzi a parte is a prank show. She is thrickt into it.

  • @Tashamee100 Probably you're right. But most of those 'showgirls' in this video are doing this because they wanna do it. I can't get it why do they enjoy being a sex object, I wouldn't.

  • The end from 22:35 is totally disgusting. that girl is like a cut of meat! how can no one let it happen to get herself humilated in public television! she doesn't even realize that men are laughing at her stupidity behind the scenes. it is so sad.

  • @TheUberJack She can't realize that man are laughing at her, maybe she is stupid?

  • BELLISSIMO!!!!!!!!!

    I'm all for womens movements

i hate it when they just lie there

    lol

  • And I thought British TV was shit...

  • Thank you for this documentary. Very appaling. I want to express my solidarity with the Italien women and men who protest against this. Se non ora, quando!

  • tv people are making it happend

  • THANKS for making this film. The expectations for women by men and expectations of women by women has worsened thanks to the spread of porn, now even available to our very young children.

Women are allowing men to dictate how women should dress, behave and look and women are failing to support other women as whole human beings.

Women must simply go back to being their natural selves and women must learn to support each other PRIMARILY – ahead of their support of men!

  • Well-done documentary. Thanks to Lorena Zanardo for this. I would have open up the discourse to the entire Italian media - included newspapers/websites such as leftist Repubblica that uses to criticize Berlusconi for his sex affairs while publishing semi-naked women on the same page.

  • grazie..anche io ho sempre pensato che il circo televisivo nn mi riguardasse ma nn è cosi

  • Thank you so much for such an informative and yet disturbing documentary of the way Italian television treats women. I really appreciate the subtitles also. Have shared with our networks at Collective Shout, an Australian organisation challenging the objectification of women and sexualisation of children in our culture.

  • A terrifying yet truthful reality...let's take action against this via COllective Shout

  • well when she is right she is right
