Indeed the last two levels are really disappointing. Even though some levels are really annoying to me (I can't stand the lost city) at least there is some difficulty, things to search for, etc. Those last two levels have the annoying things (shitty enemies, nothing really interesting, no loot to steal...) but nothing to compensate.

I totally agree with you pal, I've just finished the game and I'm so disappointed with the final levels in many ways. They should have been epic but instead we get those monkeymen and bugmen and empty scenarios lacking excitement. Fantastic game anyways.
