yea for over the roaders who have never been into nyc. as soon as u cross over the geroge washington bridge onto the cross bronx ur very first underpass says 12'6 lol. now in any other state u would say o shit!!!! and have to turn around or do something. but in nyc u fit perfectly fine under it. Nothing but confusuion, and thats the last thing anyone needs in the fucked up city of ny.
NYC is the only city that has inaccurate bridge heights posted. I was told 'NYC/NY measures from the AXLE to the bottom of bridge, and posts that as the height'. WHY??? WHY? Why not post the actual height from the roadbed to the bottom of the bridge/overpass. 49 other states post Actual height. And you Gov'nr, want to make a law requiring GPS in all trucks/ +$300. Do you own stock in Garmin?? How about making actual height signs, you idiot politicians. Idiots!!!
Like the 2 drivers said The signs do not mean a thing, they are usually posted to low, a lot of times you can fit a 13-6 trailer under a bridge that is marked 12-6. Drivers know this. Also I have seen a sign that says, 13-0 actual height. So this is really dumb.
Of course when a truck hits a bridge , it is always the drivers fault.States and their workers never are to blame.
she spilled fuel from the nozzle. In Germany other drivers would slap her.
