  • Wouldn't that hurt like hell?

  • People!! It isn't, nor should it be, one modality versus another. Medicine is a contest. We don't hold acupucture tournaments! Or prescription writing derbies.

  • Anyone knows a place to undergo an acupunture for knee and ankle with a money back guarantee (and also safety guarantee)?

I don't 100% believe in this, but very curious and wanna try. Hopefully, i don't waste my money. I know that they will ask me to keep coming back and pay money for more treatments (if it doesn't do any help in the first place).

Do we have a right to sue an acupuncturist if it causes us a skin injury, by the way?

  • yes you do, because all of the accupuncturist needles etc should be sterile. If they arnt, they are breaching medical regulations and you should sue their asses apart!

  • doctors are so jealous of acupuncture, its stealing their patients away! thats why doctors formed the medical acupuncture society. If it didnt'w work, then why are doctors doing it and getting certified?

as a side note, western meds are in the top 15 causes of death in the usa,

see what schooling an acupuncturist has to do, before you criticize.

  • Modern medicine has saved so many lives to date, and it is still getting better.

Cancer patients should go to a hospital, people with a broken bone should go to a hospital.

You can't mend a bone with needles.

As much as I respect Acupuncturists, I would highly advise going to a Doctor at a hospital first.

Acupuncture helps in allot of ways, but there are many things you cannot cure with it.

  • Ver True - smae goes opposite Way. There are many things where "Western/Modern" Medicine cant Help or manly tret symptoms with the risk of Medical Sideeffects where AP can help permanently...

So its never This OR this its knowing when to use wich treatment and why ;)

  • basically, you could see it as most physical injuries should be brought to doctors, but things that are internal, like problems with the organs can be treated with acupuncture.

  • doctors don't mend the bone at all. the body does. a healer doesn't heal, its a joint process; that includes you (assuming you are a doctor?). modern (pharma-) medicine isn't alive, whereas acupuncture is designed to use the bodies own natural intelligence. the one that animates the body (a complex organism that no scientist fully understands) and conducts all of our neurotransmitters in a perfect symphony, (as a reflection of our pre-thoughts, thoughts, future-thoughts and emotions).

  • Yeah my aunt had some debilitating illness, and modern science didn't fix it so she who went to med school till she was 30 something, switched to acupuncture and holistic medicine, the thing that actually cured her.

  • you people are a bunch of fucking morons

  • dont criticize what you dont understand

  • and what do you understand? people who do not have the intelligence to become real doctors, like to play dress-up and pretend that they are.

  • man who does not have intelligence should not criticize man who does

  • Always nice to see that medical techniques with no proven benefits are being used in hospitals. At least you know the needle is sterile...

  • Don't speak on something that you don't know anything about. Acupuncture is PROVEN to be effective. google any study and you will find it. "Back pain, acupuncture study" ...or "allergies acupuncture study" etc etc. migraine, infertility, etc etc, This "fire needle" is just a different method to apply the same principles... son.

  • so, what is the benefit for using fire? Doesn't it become less accurate to put the needle when you gotta rush putting it. It is non-sense to use fire.

Indeed, what is really the principle of acupuncture?

It is just applying a slight acute pain to stimulate a brain to signal a self-healing process at some specific part of a human body. You don't even have to use the needle, i tell you. I just remember those 365 points and i put an ice on it. You can try, it works.

  • no. acupuncture is like massage. it can compliment real medical treatments and make a person feel better but cannot actually cure or treat illnesses on its own. Don't make outlandish claims 'son'.

  • Wow! didnt know they did this!...did it fix the problem?
