Your so right about the government being so wasteful. I don't understand how so many people can place so much faith in a large centralized government.
Great points. I think cutting out waste is something we should all be trying to do as well. I think people would be surprised what they found out about their own wastefullness if they really sat down and looked in to it. Keep it up bud.
So true!! The problem is our government is spending too much time telling us what to do. Instead of taking care of national security and debt, they are busy telling us we can't do something. Once a group of people start to enjoy something, the government sweeps in and stops it.
It's like our civil liberties are removed. We really have no rights, although they claim we do!!!!
I'm in sask (canadas newest BUBBLE)...can't buy an affordable house because they are 3times inflated but I can still work for 9 dollars an hour to pay 3 times inflated rental fees...gee this 'boom' isn't all it's cracked up to be folks :(
Going back to the tobacco part here. I'm a smoker... I sometimes wish I didn't, but I am. What alot of people don't realize is the tobacco industry helps provide jobs. You have the people who work in the plant, you have the people who distribute it and you have the people who sell it at their stores. Lets face it, there are ALOT of smokers!!!
If everyone quits, where is that tax going to go??? States will lose out on the tax, which they will have to find something else to tax then!!!!
one of the biggest causes of government waste is the "use it or lose it" issue. Each agency has its own budget. If they don't use all the budget , they lose it for the next time. Example, when in the Army I worked at the embassy on a team. We had a language maintenance fund of $5k per year. It was near the end of the yr and we had not used more than $1k. So I was sent on a mission to use it up. My purchases, Movies, music, and books in Spanish. Yes, I knew Shakira before she became mainstream
Texas here. Speaking for the 'so called' U.S. government, the only things they are really good at is taking away other peoples wealth, bombing other 'non-compliant' countries, and being dishonest with the citizens. All governments, including Canada's share one nasty trait, that being they will do whatever it takes to preserve themselves............at everyone else's life and expense. These people are marked for hell and they know it, so they are going to get everything they can, now.
KmerDOg ...What makes you think he is Amish??? Why do you assume that someones appearance puts them in a particular segment of society? Do you allow the media to mold your thoughts? Does that affect your judgement of people? Are all muslim's terrorists then? What info do you have about Amish people? Do you know that many Menonite people (Dress the same), have indeed electricity, and drive cars? Do Homestead Acre's beliefs threaten you? Why have you never posted a video? Are you afraid?
u will never know what a person is looking at unless u ask. to you, the other person's eyes maybe looking at your nose but he/she is actually looking at your lips. u need to ask. there is nothing wrong with asking.
the important thing is how u ask the question, not what u ask. one proper way to ask that question would be "may I ask what u find so interesting?"
that macho pick a fight thing is when a guy asking another guy of similar age. but when a female asking that question to a guy it's usually mean she does not like him. if she is interested in him she usually asks "find something interesting?"
plus in toronto i see alot of old shops that i've known for years sitting empty now with a for lease sign along some main strips. & i agree, theyre putting huge corporations to fill the empty shops because they can absorb losses easier than mom & pop shops. like put a drugstore in there or a famous submarine shop, but i dont see many customers go in. only in tim hortons, but even their coffee lost its flavour if anyone's noticed.
gov'ts ARE COMPLETELY ACCOUNTABLE ... they are the goffers for the elitists who are all interbreeding families because they think that their blood is worth more than ours!
i have a comment to make but youtube doesnt let me post it. its about the canadian gov't holding the entire subprime mortgage empire itself to make canada seem like it's doing something right
It was supposed to be economic in nature with the full ramifications coming to light later on next month. I am wondering if it was the big summit of 16 Asian nations (ASEAN) held this weekend? Or maybe Obama declaring a national health emergency?? Or the Temple Mount conflict that occured on Sunday between Israeli police and Muslim youth?? I'm not sure I believe in the webbots much, but I do find the whole concept behind them interesting. Time will tell if they got it right.

The best way to get a small gouverment is needing as less as posible from it. Grow your food, threat your wastes, recycle, barter with friends.

Governments MAIN obejective is to be wastefull & to "pretend to fail" of course....so they can keep endless innefficient cycle going forever...

I have never smoked cigarettes.
I lost my Dad this year to cancer.
He smoked all his life starting as a teenager and up to his last days here.
I dont blame the tobacco companies or feel a need to fight them.
It was his choice long before I was born and he enjoyed it.
We have choices in life, sometimes we pay for those choices and sometimes we try to blame others for our mistakes.

I agree, if there is an economic rebound I would like to know where it is coming from.
I work for a large transportation company in Tennessee ( red trucks with drivers in red uniforms ).
The owner said he would never lay anyone off but they are now laying people off left and right.
I am lucky to still have a job, for now

how about the government just "shrinks" just like any other company that can't make money.
taxing people doesn't equate to an industry...
Let people live in peace, they have been raping the populace for long enough...
As I see it right now, the system is cannibalizing itself for a lack of any other real valuable streams of revenue.
