HA! The only way to get a Ford to run right is to put Chevy running gear in it. My '54 F100 has a healthy small block 406/TH400, and a 12 bolt posi in it. Burns both tires through 1st and 2nd and chirps third. Runs low 13s.

That is one nice truck, My 55' f250 has the 390FE too, sounds amazing with dual pipes, cherry bombs and blunt tips. The water wouldnt make a difference with that motor and differential, that motor just spews out torque. Great job

It WAS NOT A POSI! The truck was sold soon after the burnout. Yes a little water Helps the right tire spin a bit easier, but why take a chance with the rearend. Plus If you would have listened you would of heard the Second gear Chirp multiple times! Its a 390FE with a C6 with 4:10 gears. Pleanty of power but no reason to abuse it.

Incidentally, I had a '56 and put a 429 in it. With a top loader and 3.73s it was bitch to hook up, but when it did Holy Shit! Never lost a race and neither did my girlfriend! Lotta 5.0 Mustangs and Camaros got embarrassed by that ol' primered truck!
