  • You do realize the reason you aren't supposed to film in the hospital is because of patient privacy, right? Nazism? Don't be ridiculous!

  • @amyspag I was told that yes, but then I was told that I could have gotten permission if they knew I was only filming the public elevators. When I went back there after a few months, I had permission.

  • Thats why I usually only film the inside of the elevator.

  • I didn't have any problems taking pictures and filming on the UNM campus. I know they allow it in the dorms at least

  • Want someting even creepier! In the UK, its illegal to take a photo of a police officer, even in a Public Place!

  • @Quentinmovie I agree with u on that too, they are now strict if u take pics of a copper I think miltery officers too can get u arrested.

    They got something to hide.

  • i'm f*****g fed up of no photography rules they think its "Terrorism" when its pure Nazism

  • Actually to film there, they have to know what you are filming. They actually have a media department that can give you permission even to film the service elevators. At that time I didn't even know.

  • @Quentinmovie I agree its all about Nazism. I am pretty fed up of them too.

Companies Make the Cameras they can't sit there gathering dust with this stupid rule.

  • @MrUNIXman Well, what they are doing is for the protection of the patients' and doctors' privacy, not due to the fear of terrorism. Many stores do not allow photography because some people attempt to plot a shoplifting spree by making a "plan video" in the store. They also fear that you may be working for another store company and you are taking pictures of particular things to be used for their advantage.

  • Banning Photography should not be aloud.

  • I agree. Most people who tell you not to film or photograph are either security guards or police officers acting way beyond their authority. Store managers also think they have more authority then they really do and they prohibit photography. They usually tell you lies or pointless reasons on why you can't film. Security guards are idiots.

  • The exceptions should be hospitals, museum with copyrighted material and/or objects, etc...

  • Yep, I agree, security guards are 1,000,000% nuckleheads!!!!

  • Photography is allowed at UNM

  • I don't know if USC allows it. I haven't had any problems at USC. At Palmetto Health Baptist, photography/video requires permission, because they don't want the patients filmed. They have a media department to handle this permission situation. If you tell them that you are only filming elevators, they will let you film if you don't film patients. In fact, when I went there with the Media Service guy, he said I can upload it!!

  • I was told not to film at the UNM hospital, but on the main campus i didn't have any problems

  • What Year are These Elevators Installed In?

  • onlythe rest were locked out 3 floors were available when i rode it

  • thats an 80's model otis elevoninc 401 traction elevator

  • nice bell

  • In Hong Kong, during my leisure there while I'm at Dragon Centre mall, (where bearchoirfan filmed)I got caught by security because I didn't know photography was not aloud as the mall was next to the government office.

  • I have had 2 run-ins with security. Once, a guard at Atlantic Station told me "this is private property, photography is prohibited. Please put your camera away.", at another building, security was asking me why I rode the elevator up and then down.

  • Is Atlantic Station that place with those Schindler-HT's and with that two-story underground parking garage. The place with the "Cool elevator system." If not, what is it?

  • That's it.

  • It looks public to me.

  • One time when I rode the public elevator across from the main university, the desk guard was supicious about me filming the elevator. Then he/she said, "Put your camera away. And leave the building". And another building in Hong Kong, those people were supicious about me riding up and then down in a mall and I didn't get caught by mall security guards.

  • That is why filming is absolutely prohibited in most public areas.

  • This kind of overzealous behavior needs to stop. Sadly it will take years to fix what King George did in the minds of Americans.

So far I've been lucky, no run ins yet. Part of the reason I like doing videos and photography in the woods, no one can bother me. But there are no elevators in the woods, and the weather has driven me indoors which is why I started doing these elevator videos in the 1st place.

  • I know what I did wrong that made them tell me not to film.

  • I wanted to explain what happened after I filmed Elevator E.

  • What's up with you filming the parking garage?

  • Wow. 6000 lbs is pretty rare, but these are nice elevators, probably used for stretcher bed/high capacity passenger use, and with the service size 6000 lb. capacity, these would use 15 HP motors.

  • it has a big capacity i think because of them being otis elovonic 401 traction elevators
