Its a Mako... An insanely huge one, but a Mako for sure. Mako's are a close cousin of the Great White. Check the color patterns on it for exact identification. They naturally hunt Marlin, swordfish, etc... They are one of the fastest, strongest sharks in the world. Still an extremely close encounter with a whooper predator. He wanted that fish lol...

Scientist still don't know the extent or "cap" on Mako's true burst speeds. Also White's and Mako's are extremely close relatives. White's generally have much heavier bodies, but Mako's are fairly close pound for pound.
