If you're stupid enough to get hit by a train, you'd better have some good weed in that mashed up carball or 4% of the blood spatter better be pure alchohol
Trains are much harder to stop than an automobile and even harder to stop than a pedestrian. If a child looses his sockerball, and it rolls across the track, I rather the boy's parents buy him a new one rather than allowing the boy to run accross the tracks if a train is approaching. Motorists should NEVER be fiddling with make-up, cell phones, car stereos, etc. behind the wheel at any time while driving. Cell phones can be dandy machines, but they are trouble when mixed with driving.
if Metro wants less accidents then they should start using their loud horns more often than thier low horns also more gong action at intersections!!!!!!!!!!
@longbeachlt the grey ones? those are P2550's and they are planning to put some on the blue line. i think i saw one but i couldent tell because it was at night and i was looking through the drivers window in the front car
Well put together, This scares some people, and I Have to be careful too, there are railway tracks in my front yard, and up the street, it goes a little uphill, and there's crossings, but no crossing gates, and my car almost got hit!
More from Metro: "When the Extension opens, look out for some Mexican-American kids putting rocks on the track to see what happens. The Gold Line could derail!"
There are no crossing gates. It's "street running." There's no gates on the Blue Line either where it runs along Flower Street and Washington Blvd. The crossing gates come into play along the private railroad right-of-way south of Washington Blvd. So, the point of this video is: no gates, amigos! Get used to it and don't get crushed by el tren!
I feel sorry for the train operator in this video. He hits like 10 different people. I guess MTA's message is with this video is: "look out, the eastside extension is coming, and it will be running over lots of mexican soap opera actors?"
I don't know why you're being voted down, the new Breda rolling stock ARE butt ugly in my opinion as well :-/. Not only that, they seem to be louder, definitely heavier, and have a bad history of failures with San Francisco's Muni.

The lady in the car seen at 3:58 did the right thing. Since she couldn't get her caro start, she abandon'ed her vehicle.

@SuperVillaTube Wel I don't live in Southern California though. But I am glad that the law is there. The law should be a federal law.

Is everyone in L.A. deaf? This is "worst-case scenerio" gone overboard.

@eltiochusma most drivers in LA are just plain stupid. Why you think we get tons of accidents on our freeways???

What people SHOULD do is put pennies on the tracks and find them. They won't harm the train.

We have people getting hit on the tracks in their cars here and we have railroad crossings!

Why show this if the only people who need to know this would be the people too stupid to listen! Still, interesting.

And to be honest, I hate the new Metro Rail look. All unpainted gives off an industrial feel.
