I've heard this song a number of times and thought for the ladies voice alone I had to have it. I recognized Frank Sinatra on it but didn't know who the lady was. Just knew she sounded great and had a fantastic range. Come to find out it was Cyndi Lauper. I thought I knew voice. She is very versatile. I was pleasantly surprise.

As good as Cyndi Lauper's singing is here, it always bothers me when artists do 'duets' with older artists by mixing their vocals with original recordings. Often times you wonder if the original artist even liked what the result was. Case in point: Kenny G's 'duet' with Louis Armstrong.

It's just kinda freaky.

CYNDI LAUPER has such an amzing Voice !!! She has recorded so many things that nobody even knows about like this duet with Frank Sinatra !! Cyndi Lauper also does a Fabulous "Silent Night" which is on her Christmas Album and it is also the song in the "Pampers" seasonal television commercial. Her cover of "AT LAST" is amazing too !! Thank you....Frank Rossi

Cyndi also did the opening song for the tv show "pee wee's playhouse"  and the "Tide commercial" true colors. aslo, "disco inferno" for the soundtrack of the movie "a night at the roxbury"

CYNDI LAUPER is amazing. She has recorded so many things that she never gets credit for!! This was playing in Macy's last night and the cashier said, I love Frank Sinatra and I asked her do you know who's singing with him and she said, oh course, "his daughter". I had to correct her and she was amazed of cyndi's fabulous voice. Cyndi also sings "silent night" on the pampers christmas commercial they use every year or she has silent night on her merry christmas have a nice life cd.

I can so not believe this! I have this song on tape, taped it from the radio and never knew who sang this. I've listened to dozen of versions - and now I find it was CINDY LAUPER who sang it! Incredible! I always believed it was some version from the sixties, but no - it's Cindy and Frankie. What an unlikely, but wonderful combination! Thanks for posting!

NO, It was done in the early 90's when Frank Sinatra was still very much alive. It was done for the album very special christmas 2. Frank's part was from his original and Cyndi recorded her part and then it was mixed in the studio fot this FABULOUS version !!!
