I don't know why Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Plymouth just didn't continue on with those little K cars that saved them from doom... Instead of building that shitbox.
I have a '95 SOHC sedan with factory roof-racks, and a '96 ACR coupe. While I love pissing people off in my ACR, when I pass people in the sedan... complete with the roof-racks, they look confused at first, pissed off second!
When I was a teenager and the Neon R/T was a hot new model, I wanted one SO badly. Glad I didn't do it though. What a nightmare of a car. Now I drive a Mercury Tracer wagon. Funny how times change.
I feel your pain. I have three myself. a 98 with an SRT4 swap and 320whp, a 99 R/T rebuilt motor, every bolt-on, and a completly stock 98 SPort 4 door auto.
in my opinion, the Neons were the last of the light weight, throw around cheep as hell easy to work on but high quality cars.

Wow... I had almost forgotten about these striped R/T Neons. I used to see those everywhere. Where did they go?
I despised Neons when they came out, partly because of all the cutesy marketing. The racing stripes just made my loathing worse.
Today I drive a 97 Neon... how did that happen.

My bad, didn't mean to imply that they were R/Ts. I do have a 95 NYG DOHC coupe though.
(also 98 SOHC sedan and 96 SOHC sedan)I do still think they're gay cars though lol
