Do you know that the voice ion the radio is that of Moe's? They did that skit a couple times before in other skits and they always use Moe's voice as the dying radio. lol
Hey guys make sure you attend The 13th annual Three Stooges Big Screen event in Glendale Calif. Nov 27! dont miss it! Stooges on the big screen and rare interviews and footage and plenty of stooges shorts for 2 1/2 hours! See you there!
@Rlotpir1972 Thank you for the information. When the Stooges went into local TV syndication in the early 1960's (San Francisco Bay area) our family only owned a black and white TV sets. Columbia still sent out at least one of the later short subjects to the theaters as I saw the Three Stooges on the big screen once in Napa, CA; I had previously watched it on KTVU ch 2. My dad finally purchased a Color TV for the first Apollo Moon landing footage which as we know was in Black & White.
The stooges did make a short that wasn't shown much on TV because it was to violent. It was called StoogeFace. In that short they cut a guy up with a chainsaw.
Wow I never knew that. I hope one day someone can find a copy of that and upload. I don't consider this violence its all in fun. I love the Stooges. I love Curly episodes but Shemp had some great episodes too. I think when Curly passed, Larry really stepped it up and took a lot of Moe's violence, the spot at 2:10 is a classic!
I remember seeing this on often on the Family Channel back in 1996/97 and I was amazed with the amount of violence that occured on this short, this IMO is the most violent short featuring Shemp
It might be. There sure was a lot of nasty stuff that went on in that garage. I had ALL the shemp shorts on youtube earlier this year, buy youtube made me take them off or they would cancel my account. It seems if you abuse the copyright to a great extent they get pissed, but it's OK to put up a small number of them. I'm going to place back up about 20 shemp shorts.
This is one of my Top 5 favorite Stooge shorts and I consider it being the most underrated Shemp short, wasn't this considered the most violent Stooge short during the Shemp era?
I never liked Corny Casanovas either, but a Snitch in Time wasn't too bad. Cuckoo on A Choo-Choo has horrid gags, overused violence, and the skunk gag, well, you get the idea....
You gotta be kidding me about you not liking "Corny Casanovas", at first I didn't like that short but now it's one of my top favorite Shemp shorts, "Cuckoo on a Choo Choo" was a pretty silly short but I liked it, I also liked "A Snitch in Time" alot, my least favorite Shemp short (not counting those with reused footage) is "Merry Mavericks"

It was a 3D short.

Too bad there isn't a copy uploaded with the original 3D color codes.
Renshen1957 2 years ago
@Renshen1957 Buy the Three Stooges DVD collection 1952-1954. It's features BOTH 3-D shorts in both 2-D and 3-D formats. It includes two 3-D glasses.

At 4:10, this woman is smokin' hot!
She could give Christine Mcintyre a run for her money. Her name sadly was not listed in the credits.
Has to among the top 5 most violent stooge shorts.
rampking1 2 years ago
@rampking1 The actress is Barbara Bartay, she appeared in several Stooge shorts during the mid 50s

This was all in fun. Now if you want real violence, go watch Scarface videos and "say hello to my li'll friend!"

This has to be the most violent Shemp ever. Moe using a blowtorch on the thugs ass!!
Crook: "I'm going to kill you to death."
Larry: "That's to permanent."
Moe being chased: "I'm gonna get myself a cheap lawyer."
