  • Son tren be mat da Marble

  • @CongtyPhuongDong I am sorry but I don't understand your language. Can you translate in English, please.

  • @Godis3inOne it's vietnamese bud. The guy's nickname means 'Orient Inc.' . The comment simply mean 'Painting on marble', which is not very precise ==

  • unbelievable!!!!!!

  • @BeautifymePls Thank you. God bless you. I am working on faux wood DVD that is so awesome...it's definitely the Lord again, who has given me this system. Subscribe so I can let you know when it's done.

  • That counter top looks great.... I am going to chedk into your DVD

  • @PunkinLPN Thanks. It looks better in person, trust me. My cousin thought it was real. Please look into the DVD. Just remember that you have to get the tools in the kit to be able to do the finishes. God bless. Just click on my profile page and click on the link to my site.

  • ok....Art, you & I have been on FB friends list for quite a while. I dig your stuff. However, Sandy Silva is a very caring and genuine person who didn't deserve the attack. Your concerns should be addressed in a private email not on youtube.com's pages. Her products work. They really work. I have used them and used them and used them until there is no fiber left! She has cut several of my application times in half. Love the stuff she sells, including the DVDS. Keep up the good work, SS!

  • @cmatteo1032 Hey Connie! I recognize your last name. What a sweet comment. I am so glad you know me a bit and understand where I was coming from with my reply to Art. I did write him personally off this board and assured him I was not just trying to make a buck off of others. Sure would love to live next door to you. We could do so much together. You're a fabulous artist, too.

  • God that artmorehead is a real dickhead, if you don't like it you know where you can shove it, shes just teaching people how to make things look like marble and he's being unbelievably rude. Who cares if she does or doesn't know it all, she knows how to make stuff like marble which is exactly what she is selling. Whats the big deal you whiner?

  • @imagnaclean Hey there. I appreciate your support. Let's not put each other down, though. : ) I understand his point and made mine. I am sure he was trying to make sure I wasn't just ripping people off. Your heart is in the right place, though. Thanks again for your encouragement. God bless us all. We do the best we can, huh?

  • @dougart11 My name is Sandy Silva. You can watch the video "Faux Painting Questions" and see what I look like, if that's what you mean. You can visit my website to see who I am in the "About" page, too. God bless. : )

  • I ran across this video and had to leave a comment which you may delete and probably will, but the fact of the matter is you should really study the structure of the four basic marbles before trying to teach it. Can you even name the 4? I think it's great to help the "Do it Yourself" individuals, but teaching others something you obviously know nothing about and profiting from their ignorance is one thing but to use the Lord as a means of gaining trust to further your profit is sacrilegious

  • @artmorehead No, I won't delete comment cause you are being honest, but I so am I. I don't profit off the Lord's name....I love Him dearly and He knows that. I researched hours about marble and the few I teach. There are thousands of different marble and you really can't put them in 4 categories. DIYers are not interested in the science but the look. So I put them in class as far as veins, texture and color. My intention was to help them choose which one they could easily achieve as begginers.

  • @Godis3inOne You really need to further you're research. Yes there are thousands of named marbles and colors but only 4 structures and this not a "science" this an understanding of what your painting. ALL marble are based on these structures and once you know the 4 you are able to "vein" any marble correctly no matter what the colors are. As I suspected you don't know yourself and this is the very first thing you learn when studying marble techniques in decorative art

  • @artmorehead I am not selling a DVD for those who want to major in Geology, Petrology- the study of naturally occurring solid aggregate of minerals. You were taught that there are 4 structures but I am sure you would fail taking a Petrology test. Be honest, people who want a faux marble look could care less what they call the one they want. They choose based on color, simplicity, design plus HOW HARD IT IS TO ACHIEVE what they want. I teach 7 different LOOKS not 4 structures like you learned.

  • Hello.. please can anyone tell me how can i get this dvd in london ?

and can i find this kind of material in london ?

  • @vigga01 Hey there. The system is patented and I am the only one who sells it for now. If you visit my site, then you can contact us and we can send you an invoice via Paypal.

  • Hello.. please can anyone tell me how can i get this dvd in london ?

and can i find this kind of material in london ?

  • I would like to learn how to do that, but im in france, rreally u got a good job and i like it verry well, thank u and bravo.

    merci

  • my dad does this hand made in ensenada

  • maybe the kit would help him save time.

  • hey godis3inone you are mazing doing this kind of work, I would like to have only one class with you to do such beautiful work, I mean If It were possible.

  • I`ve been the industry for some time too and I am always on the lookout for new techniques aswell as searching for any invovations, methods etc practically anything that will save time and give a better finish. lol typical painting squabbles hahah

  • Yep. I keep looking, too. I have gotten other ideas from the Lord but haven't had time to manufacture the tools. He has shown me how to do crackle without the mediums, just paint and the venetian plaster, without the plaster. I showed a designer the board and she exclaimed, "Oh venetian plaster..." She had no clue it was not made with lime plaster.

  • Thanks for posting these awesome videos!!

I don't understand why an "expert" with 25 years of experience such as sledge0007 would bother going on youtube to look up faux marble techniques only to post rude comments. That just goes to show his professionalism! Way to go buddy!! He obviously has too much time on his hands!

  • Hey, thank you so much for encouraging me. We all need that from time to time. God bless!

  • Very nice. Sorry for these other comments... jealousy - the green-eyed monster! ;)

  • Thank your for your encouraging comment....nice of you.

  • Listen I dont mean to put you down may continue in this ever learning trade.

Dont need to put work on here mine can be seen in museum's,Castle's,galleries etc etc through eire n uk

  • As I said, the longer it takes to paint, the more you have to charge. I told a customer that I could take 10 hrs painting a column or 2 hrs. They chose the 2 hrs. Few want to pay $100 an hour. With my system I charge 1/2 of what others charge PER SQ. FT. I took a class and made marble that my sister swore was a real slab. But it took 1/2 hr to do 1 sq.ft. Only the rich can afford it. My friend does the high end plaster painting and can't get any work. Me, I have to put off work.

  • Entitled to your honest view, not just putting other people's work down. I have had numerous people tell me that they thought a counter top I painted was a real faux breccia marble. I try to be as objective as possible but by the same token, I go by what my customers tell me. I have no complaints. I hope your customers can say the same thing. Remember that the longer it takes, the more you have to charge, too.

  • Yes I am an expert & any Joe soap can patent a method ,I'm 25 yrs in the trade & am able to decern there are quicker way's of achieving a more realistic marble (no one mentioned trompe l oeil) I am entitled to my views thanks

  • Why don't you post some of your work and let others see if they agree.

  • a prime example of house wives let loose into a ungaurded & highly skilled trade........porning themselves off as experts to the bright eyed n untrained eye..& getting away with it......Happy days for me b'cause this level is beneath low standards....nuff said

  • Dear Sir,

I have been in business for over 13 years and the system the Lord gave me is patented. The video you saw showed the easiest way to achieve a marble look. It's not for getting a "Trompe-l'œil' look. If you are an expert in the field, you would have been able to discern that.

Please don't be quick to judge others. I am not a house wife. I don't spend precious time putting negative comments on other's video, it's not ethical, and I pray you won't continue to, either.
