plz can u help me plz?¿?¿?i feed my vft a fly 3 days ago and it's mouth/pod, is still closed i hold it up to the light and i see no shadow of a fly in there any more so it has finished digesting it but it still isnt opening its mouth/pod plz help me plz!
No, he does have a point. You see, an albany pitcher plant (cephalotus folicularis)was clever, as it was probably a descendent of a cactus, but the cactuses decided they would be weak and brittle, therefore making CPs smarter. It happens in many cases, but I think the venus flytrap and nepenthes are by far the most clever carnivorous plants. Not forgetting sarracenia, as that is the most efficient in many cases :D .
All I do in order to keep them healthy is just put them outside where they will get 7-8 hours of DIRECT sun. Everytime a new venus flytrap opens, then I feed it. Yesterday, I also created a bog garden for the plants in just a few minutes. Then I planted them into it. If you want to know more on how to keep them healthy, go to the wbsite in the description.
thanks for the interest in using this video as a response to mine, I do really like your video, and well done on what ever your doin to them to keep them looking so healthy, however, i'm going to reject your video as a response only due to the fact the quality on some of the footage is slightly poor, and also the music is very fuzzy.. if u can rectify this plz re submit it as a response and i'll glady accept.. Kind regards, Karl..
I have had these plants for more than 3 months. They are VERY easy to care for, and outdoors, they will get alot of sun and food. They don't need a terrarium to live in, and they are very hardy.
Nice lil video, but Britney Spears YUCK!!!

It would be really cool to take a time-elapse movie of these plants eating a bug.
Plants eating bugs....Now that's payback!

Calam07 was just giving an example of how smart carnivorous plants are.

They are basically just regular plants that have to get their nutrients from another source.
