  • Tf?!!!

  • too many freshwater tanks. lame!!!!!

  • The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem " Aquariums Anonymous ".

  • how do you sleep?

  • oh my...you are addicted to the hobby!

    so many fish tanks!

  • hey there, wicked vid! Have you ever had problems with you green spotted puffers and your other fish? Ive been advised to keep them with just their own kind but I'd prefer to put them with other fish, just wondering if you've ever had any problems with them attacking other fish really? thanks :)

  • Wow looks great, to bad most people probably hated on your set up in such a tight space, when bitches shoulda been given you their guts for the tour.... hahaha

  • Aquarium Junkyard.

  • You my friend, are amazing. I will be doing the same thing to my dorm room next year! ^-^

  • what are the dimensions of your saltwater tank?

  • SO WHERE DO U SLEEP?

  • it just amazes me how crystal clear al your tanks are and im here scrubing, cleaning filter, changing water and treating it every two days and its still no where near as clean as yours! is it just me whos having this problem lol

  • Haha thats awesome man cant believe your schools lets you have all that.

  • Does your college have tank size requirements? I live on campus and there is NO way that I would get away with anything like this! I would be written up and made to get rid of everything within a week. I had frogs my first semester, and I was caught and given a limited time to have them out.

  • EPIC! I was an RA at my uni last year. Never saw anything like this!

  • Thats cool how spotted puffers can go in freshwater or saltwater. I knew a guy who bought one from the pet store out of a freshwater tank and converted it to go in a saltwater tank.

  • WWWWOOOOOOOOW im sooo jealous how can u have soo many tanks .... rich bastard .. lol !!!!! is it hard to take care of dat many fish/tanks????

  • how long did it take ur oscar to get that big ??

  • damnit this guys room looks like mine does... tanks everywhere!

  • Please tell me you are studying something exclusively related to marine biology and that you're very good at it... LOL

These are some great looking tanks, but you should consider opening exhibitions and charging for the admittance to your 'Dorm Aquarium'.

  • The koi are just fine. It is amazing how much you have. Keep at it. Do you stay at the dorm during the summer?

  • how hard is it to move them at the end of the year?

  • did you have to add salt for you spotted puffers?

  • holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!! thts alot of tanks what are u majoring in obviously marine biology but stil?

  • i'm guessing you're going to be a marine biologist? or work at sea world after you graduate...

  • 0:43.....that looks like a Koi !! in that tiny tank?? hes goin bonkers in that match box!! Koi need LOTS of space!

  • uh so what are you going to do when you have to move out of hte dorm? lmao

  • What is that big white fish in the left 55 gallon tank it's th one on the left of the 2 55 gallon tannks sitting side by side

  • koi. and its overstocked. Koi need bare min of 300gallons. PER KOI! So yeah... Not only that but hes very well stupid in his other tanks. The saltwater tank only thing stupid was... Putting two gsp together, and with other fish. :/ Gsps do better with hermit crabs and perhaps a cleaner shrimp. QUOTE "PERHAPS"

  • erm..dont puffers eat crustaceans anyways? so wouldnt the hermit crab be a tasty snack? plus everything i read up says puffers usually do better alone or with fish of equal size and or aggression. also they say dont keep any crustaceans such as crabs, shrim or snails since the puffers strong teeth will make them an easy meal

  • @roadrunnerpxs Uhh yes they do eat crustaceans. But they cant crush a hermit crabs shell. Ived also seen people who had luck on keeping puffers with hermit crabs. But if its a crab, just so you know the crab will be meal and no puffers should be kept alone or with hermit crabs. Or anything they cant really see.

  • wtf? #1 how do you have time to take care of fish being in college and all? #2 I hope you don't have a roommate. omg dude.

  • You have all of those tanks in a dorm room? How are you getting away with that? and how are you going to get them home??

Awesome tank for you betta by the way, way to take good care of him.

  • How many watts does that light on your saltwater tank put out? Please answer

  • 2-24 watt t5s

  • how long does it take for green spotted puffer to get acclimated to full marine conditions like 1.023 to 1.024 because i really want one in my reef tank please reply

  • Is that enough to grow zoanthid polyps in a 29 gallon?

  • I have Zoanthid Polyps in my 20 gallon with 120 Watt PC (fixture by Coral Life) I do keep the Specific Gravity arround 1.026

  • I would also like to have on in my reef tank. I stopped by a PetCo a few weeks back and they accidentally put the same puffer fish in the salt water tank. They did not look very good at all but I don't think the acclimated the fish. Just made a mistake.

  • Hmm. Dont go to petco. Find some sort of LFS. Just not a chain store

  • I feel like you, lol i have four tanks, two 30 gallon saltwater tanks, one 55 gallon freashwater and one 10 gallon freashwater tank, lol

  • i don't think they're brackish

because they are fresh water puffer fish

although they might be able to live in saltish water or so

brought to from a fish shop and the tank it was in was fresh water and at home i have it in fresh water and it is perfectly fine

  • green spotted puffers are brackish water fish

  • There is a local fish store here in San Jose called Dolphin. They have a Molly in the salt water section. They did say you can put any brackish fish in a salt water tank just need to Acclimate.

  • does any one know if feeding them ground worms a good idea?

  • i wouldnt ... just feed him a whole worm and if u want u can take out the remains (if u think its gonna make your tank dirty) if u dont take it out he wil just eat the rest tomorrow

  • i want that

  • How the hell are you gonna take all those home.

  • Your so lucky my RA went crazy cause I brought my betta in a 5 gallon.

  • do you really need all of those pumps or could you just have the super skimmer and the penguin biowheel 200 because i want to get started in haveing marine tanks. And i just got a 29 gallon so would it be ok if i just got a biowheel 200 and a super skimmer.

  • go to saltwaterfish*com forum..youll learn everything you ever need to know...and ditch the biowheel...not necessary

  • Holy Crap - you have over 5 tanks in your dorm room ??

    that's insane!

you must have a large water bill and electricity bill.

And where do you get the time to do all the water changes?

  • I would do the wc for both 55s every other week and the wcs for the smaller tanks opposite of the 55s. I probably would spend in hour on saturday each week doing the wcs and changing the filter pads.

  • How the hell can you have that many tanks in a dorm room? Mine school wont even allow a 10 gallon :(

  • No limit on fish tanks at my college.

  • Dang youre lucky!! Im jealous!! I have to keep mine at my rents house!!!

  • isnt that puffer a fresh water puffer

  • they are considered brackish

  • your electricity bill must be outrageous with all of those

  • i'm sure its not cheap

  • gsp arnet they fresh water i had one in a freshwater tank before

  • Awesome tank! My GSP are in saltwater too.

  • they seem to do better, at least from what i've experienced

  • ...You should really only have one gsp in there... they need 30 gals per puffer...

I like your dorm room though, it's the best one I've seen :)

  • Thirty gallons per puffer, yea right!!

  • I suggest you do a little research on these fish. They get quite large and are very messy, not to mention territorial.

  • the gsp grew about 1/2 inch in about a year

  • can i put a gsp and a firefish goby on a 29 gal?

  • Only one puffer should be kept in that tank. You also need a lot more live rock in there.

  • bloodyhell thats alot of tanks!!! i have 2 a 75 and a 55g with oscars, but was wondering is it hard to keep a saltwater tank i was thinkin ov gettin a 24g nano cube with clowns and a firefish will it be hard to heep em?

  • No it's easy. Clownfish are so easy too, i have two and I'm a beginner, have had them for four months now and are growing!! Firefish are nice, but you need to have sand as the substrate because they dig, if not their fins will get torn up.

  • its rather easy, just setup a 24 gallon aquapod for a friend 1.5 months ago, he just added 2 clownfish over a week ago and added 1 firefish, 2 peppermints a couple of days ago, and I just gave him some xenia

  • yeah it's easy as hell, i just set up my tank threw in fish and coral in about a week and the tanks been running perfectly for 2 years now

  • get rid of all those FW'S and get more SW'S. WAY BETTER

  • no more freshwater for me, just saltwater

  • dang!!!! dude u have a freak load of fish tanks!!! they all look good to me... lol

can you tell me what stuff did you buy for marine aquarium?? like salt, sand, special filter.etc.

  • aragonite sand, instant ocean salt, hydrometer or a refractometer, protein skimmer, live rock, just a good hang on the tank filter for mechanical and chemical filtration

  • Is that full salt water?

  • salinity of 1.026

  • Ok. I have two in a brackish tank I was thinking about moving over to my salt tank.

  • from what i have experienced they do better in full marine

  • WOW, you have so many beautiful fish tanks. Take good care of your GSP. I just got mine a week ago and am treating him for parasites now.

  • Did you get him from wallmart? They dont take good care of their fish

  • I got mine from Aquarium Center in Blackwood, NJ. They have many different kinds of Puffers. Unfortunately, some are wild caught and the stress enables the parasites to reproduce and make the fish sick. :(

  • they don't, that is for sure

  • I think you need more fish tanks there, you don't have enough!!! lol.

  • maybe

  • Does the penguin 125 biowheel removes all the algae in a 20 gallon saltwaterfish tank? wich one you prefer a skimmer or a biowheel filter? does the biowheel removes all the waste too?

  • i'd get a 350, and just remove the biowheel, and do weekly water changes, or you could get a good protein skimmer, stay away from seaclones, lees skimmers, fission nano there all junk

  • Look at all the fishtanks!!! you fish freak..lol

  • They're born in freshwater, as they grow older the migrate towards the ocean and eventually live in a marine enviroment as adults. You can keep them in fresh, but not for very long successfully. I kept mine in brackish before transporting him to my 55 gal salt aquarium. Mine have flourished in saltwater and are much much happier now.

  • whats the cheapest one of those biocubes out there?

  • Current aquapod 12 gallon 24 gallon, JBJ nano cube 12, 29 gallon, Oceanic Biocube 8, 14, 29 gallon, Current and JBJ have better lighting

  • Wow green spoted puffers live in salt water?

  • do u think that 2 gsps might work in a 20 gal with lots of hiding spaces all alone?

  • sure, why not

  • The minimum tank size for ONE puffer is 30 gallons. They are super aggressive fish, and it's not responsible to keep 2 in small tank. 20 gallons isn't big enough for 1, let alone 2 and they're going to fight a lot.I have 2 in a 55 gallon tank and they still occasioanlly "fight". Lots of hiding spaces are good, but if your tank is too small, you're going to have a lot of fighting in your tank and miserable fish.

  • i have a green spotted puffer at my high school and i'm thinking about buying a tank and setting it up to keep him in over summer. but my problem is taking it with me to virginia tech [4 hours away.] how do you transport yours over break? how do you cycle the water in such a short period of time?

    thank you!

  • just keep most of the water, i use 5 gallon buckets with lids, just put your fish in one of the buckets with the lid on, it should be fine making a 4 hour trip, most fish are shipped overnight in the mail from distributors to pet stores so 4 hours isn't much, I only leave for a couple of days at a time if i go somewhere but i live year round on my campus

  • lol i wouldnt be able to sleep because of the lights lol

  • lights are only on during the day for 9-10 hours

  • fuk thats a lot of tanks for a dorm

  • i only have 2 up now

  • JEBUS. Won't the tanks leek the way you have them strung across desks and such!?

  • thanks, told me just in time

  • how long can these live in freshwater i have 2 babies in my freshwater aquarium and they are fine

  • they don't do very well and probably will last less than a couple of months in freshwater

  • NICE!

  • thanks

  • hay man i did what u said and now my puffers are at full saltwater thanks

  • good, do they look happier

  • much happier ill post a vid soon

  • do yu have a 30 gal protein skimmer?

  • nope, coralife super skimmer 125

  • I don't think that one tank hanging off the dressor is a good idea.

  • just an update, i no longer have any freshwater fish, or the 2-55 gallons, or the 29 gallon fresh, or 5 gallon, went out and bought a 75 gallon saltwater and still have the 29 gallon saltwater

  • how long did it take u to get the gsps from brackish to full saltwater

  • i slowly did it over probably 5 months, but you probably can do it in a couple of weeks or less, i moved my 3 to a different tank, and had a 500 gph pump in there and two got sucked in and died

  • sorry to here that mine died like that yesterday because of the pump now i only got 2 left ..... my sg is at 1.010 at the moment how fast can i raise it

  • i usually run my saltwater between 1.022-1.024, you could do a 15% water change and make the water 1.012 and keep going up from that every other day in increments of .002 for that 15% of water change

  • kool thanks

  • all of those are tetra marine tanks right well i have the exact same 1 as the first 1.

  • don't think they are

  • Sooo jealous dude!!! That is such a sweet setup! The tanks all look immaculate, very impressive. I know how much it takes to keep up with that.

  • thanks

  • it looks better with the new metal halide lights i have

  • lol

with all that running water id be peeing myself in my sleep ahaha

  • thankfully i haven't

  • wow! lots of fish tanks that's awesome! I'm jealous!...hehe

  • yeah i know lots, thanks for the comment
