Sucks that the audio has been disabled. Would like to hear it. The skulls look like the one I have that's on a black, round, plastic candy trap by Gemmy Industries. Though mine only has two green LEDs for the eyes instead of full eyeballs.
@Twilight101cp - WMG is too stupid to realize that if people hear a song in a video like this and like it, they might actually go to Itunes or a music store to buy it. They're morons.
not that drastic, but they need to be put in their place. They complain to youtube even if the music isn't theirs. I'm just waiting for a video that has custom music to get pulled and the following lawsuit.
It does indeed help a great deal. I'm very familiar with MIDI and I've used sequencers a great deal in the past. I thought the eye movement was well coordinated. I'm going to keep the lid on my Gemmy Skull until after Halloween, pick up on post-halloween bargains on Ebay and the like and then dig into the project with an eye towards next year.
Bill, Did you replace any of the hardware in the skills or did you use what came in them? Are you using Brookshire VSA to run the show? I'm going to make something similar using Gemmy skulls but I'm going to mount them on "bodies" and use a servos or something to make them rock back and forth in unison. I may connect them together and use a windshield wiper motor with a weight to make them rock back and forth together.
Yes I replaced the original jaw motors with tiny pneumatic cylinders as I dont think the original setup would last too long. My controll system is based on MIDI so you can use just about any DAW software. The original eye motors are kind of crappy too. Later ones I've done use a servo for the eye movement. Hope this helps,
"possibly the greatest thing that ever was" HELL YES! thats the funniest thing i have ever seen and heard! and ive seen and heard sum shit! i hella want one how much are the?!??! and where can i get one from? (i want just liek this same song too! lmfao!
Only the Grim And Jack Show uses servos in the skull. The Bone Tones are simple digital "on-off" motions and are driven by mini pneumatic cylinders, controlled by solinoid valves. Fast response, but less controll. Keep the system oiled and they will outlast servos by 10 years.
I think it might be fair to mention that the audio portion is "Helter Skelter" as performed by The Bobs on their album "The Bobs Sing The Songs Of..."
Its a shame. I would have loved 2 hear the song. What waz iT?!
