  • I used to think that music needed background music but I was wrong, this is music, this is inspiration, this is art

  • For anyone that's wondering, the song that plays in the background during the first poem is 'Window' by the Album Leaf.

  • I think there are 5 people who need to re-watch this. There is no way anyone could dislike something so powerful.

@ClaireseLippincott please tell me you don't live in LA where we have skid row with the mentally ill, mothers with children or just all types young and old in the gutter.. aside from the her spoken word how is we have money for war but not our own people. the war will go on for a while if they brought everyone back home unemployment would create the greatest depression.

  • @ClaireseLippincott You are actually wrong. Just google it. For some reason it won't let me post an article on it. I'm a social worker. 1/3 of homeless are vets. So what is actually bullshit? Your comment sure is.

  • @ClaireseLippincott This just goes to show "how powerful we are". As poets we have the power to scare the crap out of you, to say something so true and yet so frightening to your "belief". I help my father work as a counselor at the rescue mission in my city. And a majority of the men we talk to are veterans who have nowhere to go. As a soldier I am lucky that when I went "home" I had one to go to. It's not about whether it all says something to you, it's about that one part that does.

  • @wesleyharney So true... I just discovered Andrea's video's the other day, and they are amazing. Maybe it's not the whole thing that speaks, but one part that seems to sing or scream out at you, grabbing your attention and pulling you in. She is amazing.

  • @ClaireseLippincott Actually, one third of the adult homeless population ARE veterans. She was right.

  • Actually - the first poem is called "Say Yes."

But "Enough" is also really great.

  • The first poem is called 'enough', the second one 'for Eli' and third 'I Do'. She is fantastic!

  • I love this performance. Love, love, love.

  • I never get tired of hearing Andrea. Brilliant. I can't believe I didn't know she existed before last month.

  • beautiful
