  • 5:47 - Ohhh yeah... :D

  • Post Metal gives 100 percent proof of an afterlife :)

  • @davethehostage To put it bluntly.

  • @SamuelHellDay but after that short period of time where it was just hardcore punk with experimentation, they commercialized the fuck out of it!

  • It's Post Rock or Atmospheric Sludge.

  • @KingTaargusVII

    what's atmospheric sludge?

  • @Tanga26927 It's bands like Isis, basically.

It's slow aggression, with harmony and intense parts all the while surrounded by a deeply emotional and melodic atmosphere.

  • @KingTaargusVII

thank you pal, now I got it!

  • <333

  • post metal? why can't it just be called great music.

  • this is post-metal, for all you people arguing about it.

  • @SamuelHellDay i think that the vast majority of metalcore and post hardcore bands are too comercialized, and have forgotten their traditional hardcore punk roots, which is why i feel that they are lesser in many ways.

  • @generalten way to completely steal my opinion out of my mind :P

  • Isis' genre is Isis. No one else sounds like them, and no one else probably ever will.

  • @TheJonnyyyy rosetta. sorry

  • ISIS is good band

  • thinking man's metal indeed

  • Damn, I love this song. And what a way to end it. Everytime I hear that chanting, I think of ancient astronauts for some reason.

  • this can't be post rock, cause it rocks.

  • This music can tap into the subconcious

  • it sucks they broke up. it really does. btw, everyone interested in good music, check out maudlin of the well. honest recommendation, very brilliant stuff

  • I was really dissapointed when I heard that they are splitting. I went to their concert about a year ago and it was like a two-hour orgasm:) They were absolutly fantastic, one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

  • "To be devoured, by my lustful heart."

  • i never been into any post metal song but this is good

  • @000kingskater000 Maybe it's because Post Metal just exists maybe a few years

  • good song

  • Wow, I've never really gotten into Isis, but DAMN!

  • It's not Post Rock, it's Post Hardcore ! There is a difference.

Post rock, it's bands like "Explosions In the Sky" or "This will destroy you"

  • @HaaaWaaaX post hardcore is fugazi, its post metal which is closer to post rock in sound anyways

  • @HaaaWaaaX WTF are you crazy isis is Post-metal and sludge metal there is no souch thing as post hardcore you made that up look it up on wikipedia

  • @HaaaWaaaX post hardcore is all the emo bands you here like bless the fall, circa survive, underoath, emarosa etc..

  • jeeeez....isis blows me away

i never get into music the way i get into isis

    Isis is definately special

  • @represent93 so much emotion if you open yourself up to it

  • cult of luna makes some similar stuff

  • b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. soothing melodies and pure agression, this song is like a goddamn sea storm.

  • totally folky song.

  • my favorite Isis song and in my opinion one of the greatest songs ever recorded.

  • I think I have too agree on this being their greatest song

  • damn.

    this is beyond amazing

people say that post-rock is boring and whatever, but it probably has the most diverse and unique structure and sound of any other genre out there. its beautiful

  • It's actually post-metal but the only difference is the yelling and it's slightly heavier, still good shit though.

  • @Geetarguy4 I know exactly what you mean, sometimes i cant believe what im hearing when im listening to isis, its like a god damn sea of paintings something lol

  • @Geetarguy4 i couldn't agree more my friend, post-metal and rock is amazing and so unique and probably more creative than any other music

  • their tone is unique and amazing!

  • @Geetarguy4 Well Isis isn't post-rock even if they do have some post-rock influence.

  • @Geetarguy4 Post-metal. Not post-rock.

  • It doesn't get any more EPIC than this.

  • i dont know if this is what is called as peace.. but it surely shreds my pain

  • Starting at 6:22 and ending at 9:35, wow!

  • 7:05 OH MY FUCKIN GOD!!!!!!!!!

What massive sound! Goddamn it makes me feel like I am standed out in the middle of the ocean.

Probably my favorite part of Wavering Radiant.

  • lol... or Justin

  • Shit. That's sick.

  • The bass sound remindes me of sir Chancellors sound

  • yes.... Sir Chancellor

  • What's the difference of post metal and doom metal? both are beautiful and heavy.

  • metal is more different that so much other stuff in my opinion that you need to catagorise it somewhat if you wanna have a clue about what other bands you don't know are playing if you are talking about them.

  • Heavy post-rock influence on post-metal, typically more about the expansion and evolution of the sound/song/album.

  • Comment removed

  • am i trippin or is the isis wavering radiant part of the album moving!

  • NuReflexion: you ain't tripping. it is really moving! The yellow spheres light up, I am suuuuure.

  • This album is so atmospheric and heavy. Love it.

  • 4:50 is amazing

  • never said this before.. but these guys have some kind of magic!

  • What a beautiful song. Addictive
