Peace to all involved in Rolling Thunder. This was such a huge part of my dad's life! Unfortunately, he died as a result of a motorcycle accident returning from Rolling Thunder 2010.
A special thanks to my dad. He inspired me and taught me and continues to be my hero. It was my dad's limited stories, combined with a pain in his face that I wanted to change, that inspired me to become a navy corpsman.
He is a Vietnam Vet -- he served on air craft carriers and with HAL-3.
@tmusn9197 Hal-3 wasn't on Carriers, more like LST's and fire bases O ya and barges. they were a Naval Special Operations Unit. my father was in Hal-3 Det 5.
