So significant for me... my late father used to bounce me around to this album as a baby when i wouldn't go to sleep, and I've been listening to the same vinyl record ever since.
Probably the most evocative combination of musicians ever,Paul Simon and Ladysmith, along with the other S.A musicians were surely meant to perform together, musically I can`t think of a more unlikely but thoroughly brilliant combination, lyrically and spiritually!!
OMG thank you so much for posting this. Could some one please tell me the name of the gentleman in the yellow shirt, with black trousers and hat on the right of Simon???
Paul Simon rompeu o cerco que havia contra a Africa do Sul dos brancos e fez um belíssimo trabalho com os artistas oprimidos daquele país (os negros) e os que se opunham à aquele regime racista. Correu risco e valeu a pena. Obrigado, Paul!
