hay alarmist nazi ever heard of the glacier girl its p38 lighting ww2 fighter plane it was forced down and crash landed in greenland in 1942, well it was recovered from the ice not a easy job because 250ft if snow and ice covered the aircraft. So since 1942 250feet of snow has fallen doesn't sound like melting going on there does it ,why don't you put that in your propaganda video greenman
@greenman3610 you lot of alarmist nazi make out all the ice has melted and its the end of the world as we know it. Al Gore, if Greenland melted the sea will rise twenty feet what crap. Your a bunch of crazed money motivated con artist that's what you are
oh dear, oh my, were all doomed, oh my, oh dear were's the sea rise weren't we suposed to have sea rise if all this ice has melted, and al gore bought a pent house right on the beach he doesn't believe his own bullshit typical alarmist
Carbon tax is a disgusting crime against Humanity. CO2 whether man-made or otherwise doesn't drive global climate, it never has, it never will, the Sun does...
Only an idiot would deny that climate *changes*. However the reasons some are asserting don't add up scientifically. The baseline is always set by solar activity. a variation of a watt/sq. meter or so can be seen over periods of years. Man of course has no control over this whatsoever. Any weather ignoramus, when viewing the results of the iceland volcano this last year, could see how much such events seed the atmosphere increasing overcast conditions/precip. Again many has no control. ct
@sounddoctorin One can argue that man's contributions are just providing that marginal push over a sensitive balance. However...orbits can't evolve. The design of the planet..can't evolve to conform to creating such a sensitive balance. So such a claim would be to basically admit there is a creator. lol. Regardless, IF man did not burn oil efficiently, eventually a volcano could come up in that location and burn it very INefficiently. I say burn it efficiently. What do you say? :-)
@VarykGerai And we are supposed to predict WHERE? Then who will pay the damages when a volcano DOES erupt where Oil could have been pumped out for decades? THAT IS THE PROBLEM. NONE OF YOU OPINIONATED PEOPLE EVER GETS HELD ACCOUNTABLE WHEN THE BS YOU PUSH DOES NOT PAN OUT!
Meanwhile..the stark reality is that volcanoes AND surface gas emissions FAR outweigh any contribution man can contribute. KEEP LOCAL environments good air quality and the rest will pan out.
@greenman3610 What is non-sense about the fact that IF the environment couldn't recycle foul components in reasonable order that volcanoes would have choked us all to death long ago? Sorry give me some motivation to watch a video. Don't just call something non-sense and post a video or you shoot your own credibility.
@greenman3610 The surface of the earth PLUS volcanoes dimwit. Avoid this kind of embarrassment in the future by having a discussion. Didn't I already note that above? my sounddoctorin com website has calculations on ministry networking page showing that IF everyone drove a LOG TRUCK 10,000 miles per year (everyone on the planet who can drive) it would affect the atmosphere 2.9ppm IF 100% of the VOLUME were non-recyclable in a year. Of course that's absurd since most of it rapidly IS... ctd.
@greenman3610 SECONDLY I'm talking historically. In the distant past there is evidence of super volcanoes etc. I'm saying the environment CAN recover even from catastrophic things like that in amazing time. IF YOU WERE ANY good at reading non-presumptuously... Anyway I'm Bob Weigel. I don't speak things usually unless I've done a lot of research. You *might* consider that IF you think I'm wrong.... go slow. Carefully evaluate all parameters and don't get caught presuming.
@sounddoctorin "I'm saying the environment CAN recover even from catastrophic things like that in amazing time" enviroment recovery is not a problem. recovery of humanity infrastructure that was developed in thousands of years is the problem.
@greenman3610 FINALLY... as to the CURRENT estimates of 1/100th... that's not a real functionally significant figure since it only includes estimates from actual NOTED ERUPTIONS. I..being a scientist who is trying to post RELEVANT DATA though... include *all emissions from natural sub-surface contributions*. Hello? Yeah here we have this massive surface of the entire earth you idiot. ALL of it emitting gases at a gradual rate. But that's multiple over the entire FREAKING SURFACE!
@greenman3610 Obviously you're making an argument from authority fallacy in nested form. I don't trust ANY of these people because they are run by BIG MONEY. Being able to do math and physics on my own HAS it's advantages. Not much of the population can unfortunately. It's always just a few of us who are unfunded most of the time squeaking in the background about these dumb things. It's a PLOY TO GET A NEW TAX FOOL. If you want to be duped by these morons by all means..be my guest.
@sounddoctorin problem is you dotn even have credibility sinc eyou only state like "i did my research thus im a right" and were supposed to change our minds? Furthermore youre thrown actual data and simply say "give me motivation to look at it"
@VarykGerai and yes surface gas emitions is the problem. If due to further temperature increase gas traped in siberia and alaska will be released there will be huge snowball effect
@VarykGerai The oceans and the larger amount of the earth's surface are not trapping gas with any significantly temperature driven relationship. You are stupid. I don't have time for flailing nincompoops. Talk to yourself. Enjoy.
@sounddoctorin there are billions of tonnes of greenhouse gases trapped in ice since the last ice age most of which is more powerfull than CO2. oh wait you think earth is 4,5 thousand years old
@VarykGerai DEAR PRESUMPTUOUS ONE. Once again you presume stupidly. However in SPITE of the fact I believe God created the heavens and earth FIRST (then the day clock started when sun ignited in the 8000 years ago range)... WE STILL have the fact that ALL things tend to dissipate over time. I'd like to see the HARD PROOF that your claim is true re: billions of tonnes. w/ 1.6BILLION cubic MILES of atmosphere, that'd be a tonne/cu mile? vs ~19000 Tonne of gas/cu mi? POST HARD LINK OR S/UP
@VarykGerai 1) I'm not your mate. I think there are websites that can help you with that maybe... 2) You don't know what my background is jackass. Stop saying such presumptuous stupid things OR you'll be LABELED AS SUCH.
@VarykGerai YOU DO FOOL! YOu just speculated about it. LOL. Who cares indeed though in a thread full of fools trying to convince themselves that the global warming hoax is GOOD for them. Meanwhile ..see here's the immediate practicality of the matter. It's all about the US. This country has had disproportionate success in productivity for centuries because of the relative freedom here motivating people. CHANGE mongers see opportunity to USE hoax things to change monger. It's that simple
@VarykGerai The problem is you are too lazy TO TAKE A PHYSICS PROGRAM that would give you the background to see through these scams. Am I experiencing a problem here? No I have a relationship with the spirit of God who holds all things in his hand. THE OVERWHELMING issue is MANKIND and their greed ALWAYS. That will cause them to weave a twisted web where they pose as legit to take advantage of simpletons like you. I don't have time for it. Take the classwork so you can intelligently discuss
@greenman3610 When dealing with people who are intentionally deceiving so they can support a scam that destroys lives and fluffs the bank accounts of the elitists... sorry it's hard to just sit back and smile. MANY people on the internet are paid to social engineer. When people act like this I wouldn't be surprised if they were some of them.
@sounddoctorin sorry, but those emails documenting deciet were proven fake, watch this vid: watch?v=hQuKXI97Ul8&feature=player_embedded#at=55, global warming is a real problem, there are 5 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide being emmitted into our atmosphere each year, russia had a heat wave last year, the worst its had since 1939, food prices have gone up because of bizzare weather patterns destroying crops or making it difficult to grow them, the artic has melted by 20% since 1979
@biggw711 It's hard to 'prove' something of that nature fake. However like I say it's irrelevant. I'm a scientist. I solve logic puzzles FOR A LIVING. I'm not real motivated to swim in the idiot stream and try to pull out a gem. Thanks but no thanks. I already know what causes the overwhelming amount of climate change. This world has a history of super volcanoes that dwarf any kind of man made contributions. Solar activity dominates along with natural regulation. We're PART of nature.
@sounddoctorin I have dealt w/ videos like this before. This Greenman person is incorrigible. He always presents this "We're melting!" scare story & omits many critical details. Anyone who looks critically at the animation of the ice MOVEMENTS can see that the developement old thick ice is the result of currents & NOT temperature. The old ice is merely caught on the leeward side of the prevailing currents.
@biggw711 And "Russia had a heat wave". Listen fool. Weather changes everywhere. All the time. Weather happens. FOR THE PAST 1000 YEARS you could find SOMEWHERE on earth that had a record temperature every friggin year probably. Now get a life. Nobody is watching this so I don't have time to discuss it with some loser who buys into this crap one on one.
so in other words greenman3610, you don't believe in freedom or 2 sides to a story.
You believe in dictating your faith based beliefs as fact and anyone that offers a different explanation or simply chooses not to believe is ignorant and beneath you.
I bet you also support Eugenics and the idiots of Hollywood. I'll also wager you don't know the difference between an established Republic and acting democracy.
This isn't fact, it's opinion based on less than 100 years of scientific DATA.
Information that you interpret to a 1 sided story.
Just like evidence in a case only since it's the court of public opinion, you're under no obligation to allow or listen to an opposing interpretation.
You have no respect for freedom what so ever. You clearly state anyone that disagrees with you is ignorant but that's your opinion. Yours is still just a faith based belief system and I don't agree.
@greenman3610 I have no side, simply pointed out the lack of logic to some of your responses and thinking, much like your Nobel Peace Prize comment.
It's an award based purely on a fringe group's opinion. You seem very Hollywood and corporate establishment minded from my perspective. I realize people like yourself generally don't understand they live in a Republic with an acting democracy.
Since you are given no true say over that democracies decisions, it's a single sided perspective.
@resteep I don't have the issue currently but about 15 years ago in Popular Mechanics or Popular Science, they showed modern debris in a lot of the ice core samples claimed to be coming from millions of years ago in the arctic. The show X Files did a parody on this where they find a soda can in some supposed million year old ice.
Also look at how the pressure of the arctic works, it squeeze ice up from underneath which levels off and circles back into the water. It cycles!
News from today, Oct 5, 2010: "Europe facing coldest winter in 1,000 years."
Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere (which is now approaching summer, not wintter) New Zealand just had a six-day blizzard, the "worst in living memory", according to several NZ papers.
To those snake-oil salesman who blame cold on global warming, this defies basic physics. If a circulation pattern slows to make a region colder, some *other* region must get even hotter to compensate.
One truly has to wonder why Greenman spends his entire life making and posting these videos, and responding like a martyred zealot when anyone challenges his faith with a post here. Global warming truly is the new religion.
Greenman, do you actually wear a robe while posting ... or do you just say a little prayer to Mother Gaia after each post?
@ttowntom, how to address your empty opinionated delusional nonsense? Let's try:
1. "spends his entire life making and posting these videos", Lord Monckton does so and far more for cash
2. "martyred zealot", yes Lord Monckton demands those that embarrass him with science and facts should be silenced, jailed and condemned as "hitler youth"
3. "new religion" yes denying evolution and man induced climate change is religion based
Now run along; find a portrait of Lord Monckton to admire and kiss
The worst part is that as ice melts, sun rays reflection diminishes, as oceans absorb heat better than the ice itself due their color. Thus global warming feeds itself.
Parvati, a Canadian singer is thus going to sing in the North Pole to bring more awareness to this issue. We need everyone to do their part, artist, scientists, you!
Hmm. The problem with your videos is that they are worded to attack rather than inform. I am upset with climate denialists as well, but ridiculing them doesn't help. All it does is make them more angry and less open to listen to reason. Our entire race is going to die within a couple hundred years unless we can somehow come together and and work together to fix these enormous problems. That will never happen in a climate of partisan hatred.
If someone says the moon is made of cheese, I am not inclined to try to find a middle ground. The moon is not made partially of cheese. There is no place for honest people to disagree.
Pointing out that the emperor has no clothes is not a hateful act, although the emperor may find it painful.
The scientists have been using the route of calm reason, and getting their heads handed to them by the slick PR meisters of the denial movement.
@MazeleyFanClub ummm...how is "Our entire race is going to die within a couple hundred years"? The human species has gone through dramatic climate changes many many times living as nomads. I think we can survive a climate change that is going to happen anyway regardless of our CO2 output.
@24darh24 No climate scientists has ever said that CO2 is the only factor involved in warming up or cooling down or planet. Look up Potholer54 and his video
All not-IPCC forged city-heat graphs show absolutely no alarming rate of warming at all.
And by the way.. using IPCC data after being exposed several times to have manipulated data (starting with the hockey stick) isn't the best way to enhance your credibility..just sayin'... ;)
@24darh24 "Since the hockey stick paper in 1998, there have been a number of proxy studies analysing a variety of different sources including corals, stalagmites, tree rings, boreholes and ice cores. They all confirm the original hockey stick conclusion: the 20th century is the warmest in the last 1000 years and that warming was most dramatic after 1920."
@Richard482 "the 20th century is the warmest in the last 1000 years". So does that mean that it was warmer more than 1000 years ago? Could it be that the Earth has cycles that it goes through resulting in climate change ranging from Ice Ages to warmer temperatures than what we have today? Naw, thats just crazy talk.
No, it means that the study followed an evidence trail that reliably went back about a thousand years.
The earth certainly does go through cycles, such as the orbital changes that take us into and out of ice ages. The overall effect of orbital forcing right now should be a cooling, but we are not seeing that. Instead, we see a warming that can't be explained by anything other than man caused greenhouse gases.
Why do alarmists always pretend that the time we started satellite-maesurement has to be the "status-quo"?
Why do you keep pushing this "lowest and highest on record"-thing when this period spans only roughly 30 years, leaving out the rest of the 4.500.000.000 years of climate change?!
What the hell is "Climate Denial" anyway? Noone ist disputing that the climate is changing and noone is disputing that the last century was one of the warmer ones in recent history. So yes, the Ice is getting thinner but it will recover during the next cooling period, as it always has...
It still has been cooling over the last decade and we are far from understanding all mechanisms that drive our climate... so what the fuck are you trying to do here?
oh look here! more news that the ice cap is doing quite well in 2010 - see tinyurl [dot] com slash 28y4dl3 - arctic ice is much thicker than expected!
@greenman3610 Well you're basically saying we're running out of icecaps now even though it was warmer before and people managed to survive. That was my point, LOL.
The medieval warm period refers to the northern atlantic region specifically. My understanding is that we're not sure about the global temperatures in that period, so the temperatures globally might actually be lower than now. Local temperatures in Greenland on their own are not indicative of _global_ warming.
Furthermore, even a perfunctory scan through wikipedia (not the most reliable source, I know) shows that northern hemisphere temperatures the last 50-60 years are higher.
@realscience1 this two degrees warmer during the medieval period, did it also coincide with a sudden rise in the oceans? did ports around the world suddely go under?
@vengencefrom1979 Well I know you can sail over the ancient city of Lydia apparently. Did ports go under? What is the significance of this? Lyonesse at land's end seems to have gone under at least. but i also know that antarctica is growing in recent years, so it's complicated. i don't think it's of any statistical significance to say we're all gonna die or the ports will go under - it's not happening with the current rises, and since temps were once warmer it's not really that big a deal.
@vengencefrom1979 who was measuring? i don't know they apparently use some sort of historical record, plus tree rings, plus ice cores and guess a temperature.
A three year down trend for 2004 to 2007 (net loss about 1,2M km2 means something massive in the history of the planet but a 2 year upward trend for 2007 2009 (net gain of 1,2M km2, (same as the loss but in less time)) is not-significant.
Cherry picking is where people take a small amount of data from 2007 and use a 10 year old 30 year average that fits their argument, use it like it means something significant
two words .. bull shit. one cannot be expected to believe 20,000 years of build up is destroyed in a mere decade. however when misinterpretation is mentioned you can notice that the ice refreeze is significantly higher in 1996 than the downward slope mentions.
Oil companies don't need to win using science, they only need to delay the political process while making tons of cash. Why would 1 out of the 10 GOP purity test be against cap and trade? Perhaps it is the $200 M given to them to say so.
Famed global warming activist James Schneider and a journalist friend were both found frozen to death on Saturday, about 90 miles from South Pole Station, by the pilot of a ski plane practicing emergency evacuation procedures.
"I couldn't believe what I was seeing", recounted the pilot, Jimmy Dolittle. "There were two snowmobiles with cargo sleds, a tent, and a bright orange rope that had been laid out on the ice, forming the words, 'HELP-COLD'"
@greenman3610 discrriminating eaders will also wonder how long before we are told that the increase in Arctic ice _proves_ anthropogenic global warming and it was forecast in the AGW models? This is in he context that arctic sea ice is at a 7 year high for this time of the year.
@substanti8 your comment says it all! Not suprising in the least, because it could be rather difficult to explain how arctic sea ice can be at an 8 year high, yet Hansen's fudged temp records suggest record high temps in the same region! A bit contradictory, huh?
Seems like the wheels are falling off. We have had global cooling for more than a decade now, and the arctic ice is recovering just fine since the 2007 minimum.
@substanti8 interestingly it seems like the current el ninho season is coming to an end. I can't wait for la ninha's visit. That should surely promote you to the next levels of the Kübler-Ross scale to anger/bargaining. But don't panic! Once tou have graduated to the acceptance stage, you can wear your denier badge with pride.
The reality of human-caused global warming is so obvious by now that denying it might seem like a psychosis. But denial is actually normal human behavior in times of crisis. Below is link to a good description of the Kübler-Ross grief cycle. In this case, people are facing the loss of energy from fossil fuels.
tiny (dot) cc/KRgriefcycle
"The important factor is not that the change is good or bad, but that they perceive it as a significantly negative event."
The original Kübler-Ross model had these five stages:
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance
"A common problem with the above cycle is that people get stuck in one phase. Thus a person may become stuck in denial, never moving on from the position of not accepting the inevitable future. When it happens, they still keep on denying it, such as the person who has lost their job still going into the city only to sit on a park bench all day."
If one looks at the monthly anomalies for the Arctic on the NASA GISS website, we see that from Dec 09 to Mar 10 all are in the red zone. So with all that heat in the area how does the ice cover increase to the highest level for this time of the year in 7 or 8 years? Any explanations? See Arctic monthly temp anomalies on:- data.giss.nasa. gov/ gisstemp/maps See Arctic sea ice extent ocean.dmi. dk/arctic/plots/ icecover/icecover_2010. p n g
This vid is so full of horse shit. Right before the viking age temps world wide were 7 thats right 7 degrees hotter guess they were driving around a lot of SUVs LETS GET THIS STRAIGHT THE PLANET GOES THROUGH CYCLES!!!! ANY OF U MORONS EVER HEAR OF THE ICE AGE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! p.s its a good thing when global temperature rises and the more co2 the more plants thrive (not that they r related)
Your comment is the equivalent of a guy escaping from the mental ward, standing on a street corner, and shouting nonsense at people who walk by.
We can safely assume that you were impersonating someone delusional -- unless you can supply credible evidence to support your grammatical train wreck.
Answer: Arctic sea ice floats on ocean water. Ergo, any melt here never results in sea level rise! Only land ice that melts contributes to sea level rises. Very simple phisics! Sea ice displaces NO water.
My personal opinion is that thiss country will not survive this onslaught of liberal/socialist/idiot liberals......so if temps raise 1 degree F in 100 years what does it matter......................
Do you comprehend more than what's right in front of your nose or more than a week in the future?
That's the mental state of a two-year-old, but you are hopefully an adult -- so you can grasp concepts like future risk and intergenerational responsibility.
@zombieseezombiedo Sea ice that melts NEVER leads to sea level rises! Because ice floats on water and displaces just as much water as there is water content inside the ice, so NO net difference!
In just FIVE YEARS between 2004-2009 thick perennial arctic sea ice DROPPED 42%. This was discovered by NASA satellite measurements. Reported 7/7/09

Global Warming is changing our world NOW. CO2 is 35% above levels for 650,000 years. In just 30 years CO2 will be over 450ppm, enough to acidify oceans to the point of stopping the growth of many planktons and corals. They are at the base of the oceans' food chain.
For what it's worth ... iceagenow is a web site run by a complete LOON named Robert Felix. Typical of his technical prowess, I suspect, is his failure to reduce the bandwidth of his glamour shot ...
iceagenow. com/Author_photos.htm which tips the scale at 10 MB.
According to Climate Progress, Felix claims that global warming is caused by "underwater volcanism" -- with no scientific method, of course.
"As a result of their ignorance, the world's economy may be about to divert billions, nay trillions of pounds, dollars and rubles into solving a problem that actually doesn't exist. The waste of economic resources is incalculable and tragic......
Furthermore........ there was an eruption there Gakkel Ridge off Greenland in 1999and was supposedly the size of eruption of Vesuvius according to the Woods Hole but it couldn't possibly heat the water any.......LOL
red do you have any idea the thousands of icebreakers you would need to have an impact on an ocean of ice? of course the volcanoes will warm the water. but probably not enough to make a noticeable difference. the heat from the underwater crust is already heating up the oceans a bit. wait... since when do you guys admit the ocean is warming?
So all the idiot researchers and probably thousands of other idiots in their icebreakers in the Arctic breaking up the ice and complaining that the ice is breaking up...........more idiots.......
@NOsubstanti8 .....The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution did the research on the the Gakkel Ridge eruptions in 1999 but that was probably covered over by the peer reviewers.....LOL
I don't have to prove anything...and you guys are not getting your cap and trade so s it..........and you idoits think 1 degree is melting the ice .............LOL
June 26, 2008 Gakkel Ridge beneath the Arctic ocean, where a valley filled with flat-topped volcanos up to 2 km wide and hundreds of metres high has been found...The eruptions - as big as the one that buried Pompei - took place in """1999""" along the Gakkel Ridge, an underwater mountain chain snaking 1,800 km from the northern tip of Greenland to Siberia...Both sonar and visual images showed an ocean valley filled with volcanos
As their sponsor Prince of Wales jets all over the world blowing out CO2 demanding we cut way downLOLthe Catlin group should have built a huge bonfire to stay warmwell maybe they did and didnt mention itno trees to burn there though.LOL
Are you kidding me he used the caitlin expedition. The expedition failed, they did not complete the mission they failed by more than 50%. Meaning they have less than 1% physical proof of ice loss, they also only drilled in flat spots(cherry picking drill cites. This is the first place that has even cited the failed expedition. They were using hand tools because their more modern equipment froze to death, as well as the expeditioners almost died. IMHO they were retards for trying to defy nature.
I heard Neal Boortz say that ice was increasing and that therefore global warming MUST be a worldwide conspiracy. Surprise, surprise he was telling half-truths... AGAIN.
Scientists have known about global warming since the 1950's. Two Generations. Politicians ignored it, big businesses ignored it, now most of the world finally knows about it.
So now the big businesses aren't ignoring it, they are lying about it, and throwing lots of money around to create this so called controversy.
So none of you actually tried to fight my points so i am re posting this again, +-ATTENTION-+ their is the same amount of sea ice in the ocean as their ever was.
actually, if you understand the difference between area and volume, that's probably not the case.
And if you understand the concept of polar amplification, and get it that the north pole does not equal the south pole, you would understand that the process is manifesting most rapidly in the north, ,for a variety of reasons.
@greenman3610 lol, talking down to people with your admin privileges how cute, So.. considering the warming is happening in perma frosted areas it is a good thing, the two bread baskets will produce more for the world hey it could even help with the already doubled prices and if cap and trade starts up the quintupling of world food prices, Anyway just blame the rivers for polar amplification or you can blame how much more heat water absorbs then land masses which might actually make sense
I suspect greenman HAS looked it up for himself since he made a video about it. Or haven't you bothered to watch his videos?
As for warming in perma frosted areas: Keep in mind that good topsoil requires thousands of years of erosion and decay. There isn't good topsoil in perma frosted areas so crops won't grow well there. Meanwhile, in tropical areas, increased heat will decrease food production and increased CO2 has been shown to reduce the nutritional content of food.
1st off he said probably so he doesn't know, and it would increase the size of the bread baskets quickly and it would start growing slowly into the perma frost areas. as for increased heat it was helped many of the areas they have said it would hurt, and nutritional content is already near zero in all countries that radiate their food so that shouldn't be your huge concern because in america everything that is said to be organic just means it is non irradiated.
While he can speak for himself, I suspect that greenman used "probably" out of politeness. We could also say that you "probably" understand the difference between area and volume -- but we cannot be sure. In fact, that would be a less likely event than the probability of sea ice decline.
If you think there's been no decline in sea ice, then you need to post your source. Otherwise we'll assume that you're just spreading nonsense.
@substanti8 you do not seem to understand what i am saying which is - total sea ice- vs what this video is all about which is - arctic sea ice- with a little shot at my argument which he forgot to cover in his next segment. any ways i no longer give out were i get my information because everyone just tries to attack the scientist or institution(s) look it up for your self
i never have, in the last 6 thousands years that history can go back to what we know of the northern cap is that it is unstable and grows and shrinks in an unknown amount often its just depends on why you think it is shrinking at the present
Well, since you agree that the volume of Arctic sea ice is decreasing, then where is the sea ice increasing? That's a necessary condition for your statement six days ago to be true -- your claim that total sea ice in the world's oceans is not decreasing.
this is why Anthropogenic global warming slaves are so easy to control your absolutely retarded, how do you not understand if their are 2 hemispheres the northern is shrinking what does that tell you about the southern?
Human-caused global warming easily overwhelms much-hyped "cold snap"

'What this video will NOT show you is that their is the same amount of ice in the oceans giving a 1-3% for variablities ... but were did it go? their are only 2 poles'
YOU made the claim, therefore YOU have to provide evidence!
No science means that your claim was a PACK OF LIES!
Citations of published science from relevant web of science peer-reviewed journals only. No videos; websites; think-tank garbage or pseudo-scientific/invented drivel from Energy & Environment & etc.

'What this video will NOT show you is that their is the same amount of ice in the oceans giving a 1-3% for variablities ... but were did it go? their are only 2 poles'
So are seriously suggesting that the ice-bergs flew south for the winter? Do you have a citation for that? It's just that you are making such vague claims.
The cause of Antarctic sea ice might not indicate what you think, or claim.
You might also want to learn how to spell. ['there' not 'their']
@pseudotruth: "So are seriously suggesting that the ice-bergs flew south for the winter? Do you have a citation for that? It's just that you are making such vague claims."
That sounds like a Monty Python skit. :) - Yes it does, doesn't it?
But truth is stranger than fiction. I put it down to the marvels of modern medical science. Never before have so many brain transplant donors survived.

Again many has no control. ct
sounddoctorin 1 year ago

Of course that's absurd since most of it rapidly IS... ctd.
sounddoctorin 11 months ago
@greenman3610 SECONDLY I'm talking historically. so in other words greenman3610, you don't believe in freedom or 2 sides to a story.

Ok you believe in information, so what?
Information that you interpret to a 1 sided story.
Just like evidence in a case only since it's the court of public opinion, you're under no obligation to allow or listen to an opposing interpretation.
You have no respect for freedom what so ever. You clearly state anyone that disagrees with you is ignorant but that's your opinion. Yours is still just a faith based belief system and I don't agree.

Since you are given no true say over that democracies decisions, it's a single sided perspective.
JonDeth 1 year ago
@JonDeth and what 'data' do you have that backs up your 'beliefs' on the matter.
resteep 1 year ago
@resteep you said it all with one word, beliefs.
These claims can not be factually proven, they rely on your faith based belief.
JonDeth 1 year ago
@JonDeth Sure, if you define science as 'faith-based'.
But my question was on what 'data' do you base your 'beliefs'?
Because climate science is well-documented, so a refutation of it will take far more than just a wave of your hand.
Or are you saying you just 'believe' you are right, regardless of scientific evidence?
Does that mean you also think the earth is only 3000 years old, flat, and at the center of the universe?
resteep 1 year ago
@resteep what science?
You're arrogant and ignorant, it's theory not scientific fact.
Get a grip.
JonDeth 1 year ago
@JonDeth What science, indeed. Great rebuttal, by the way.
Again, what is it you are presenting as evidence to support your claim?
resteep 1 year ago
@resteep I don't have the issue currently but about 15 years ago in Popular Mechanics or Popular Science, they showed modern debris in a lot of the ice core samples claimed to be coming from millions of years ago in the arctic. The show X Files did a parody on this where they find a soda can in some supposed million year old ice.
Also look at how the pressure of the arctic works, it squeeze ice up from underneath which levels off and circles back into the water. It cycles!
This is fact.

Now run along; find a portrait of Lord Monckton to admire and kiss

The worst part is that as ice melts, sun rays reflection diminishes, as oceans absorb heat better than the ice itself due their color. Thus global warming feeds itself.

Pointing out that the emperor has no clothes is not a hateful act, although the emperor may find it painful.

source: skepticalscience
Richard482 1 year ago
@Richard482 "the 20th century is the warmest in the last 1000 years". So does that mean that it was warmer more than 1000 years ago? Could it be that the Earth has cycles that it goes through resulting in climate change ranging from Ice Ages to warmer temperatures than what we have today? Naw, thats just crazy talk.
Exlaxcookies 1 year ago
@Exlaxcookies
No, it means that the study followed an evidence trail that reliably went back about a thousand years.
The earth certainly does go through cycles, such as the orbital changes that take us into and out of ice ages. The overall effect of orbital forcing right now should be a cooling, but we are not seeing that. Instead, we see a warming that can't be explained by anything other than man caused greenhouse gases.
greenman3610 1 year ago
But I have a real question here:
Why do alarmists always pretend that the time we started satellite-maesurement has to be the "status-quo"?
Why do you keep pushing this "lowest and highest on record"-thing when this period spans only roughly 30 years, leaving out the rest of the 4.500.000.000 years of climate change?!

What the hell is "Climate Denial" anyway? Noone ist disputing that the climate is changing and noone is disputing that the last century was one of the warmer ones in recent history. So yes, the Ice is getting thinner but it will recover during the next cooling period, as it always has...
It still has been cooling over the last decade and we are far from understanding all mechanisms that drive our climate... so what the fuck are you trying to do here?

the Greenland ice sheet is 100s of thousands of years old, at least.
2 degrees warmer in an area where average temps are well below freezing would not be an indicator of no ice cap.

realscience1 1 year ago
@realscience1

Answer: Arctic sea ice floats on ocean water. Ergo, any melt here never results in sea level rise! Only land ice that melts contributes to sea level rises. Very simple phisics! Sea ice displaces NO water.
So Zombieseezombiedo, there you go.

Do you comprehend more than what's right in front of your nose or more than a week in the future?
That's the mental state of a two-year-old, but you are hopefully an adult -- so you can grasp concepts like future risk and intergenerational responsibility.
substanti8 1 year ago
@zombieseezombiedo Sea ice that melts NEVER leads to sea level rises! Because ice floats on water and displaces just as much water as there is water content inside the ice, so NO net difference!
The Arctic is all ocean.

According to Climate Progress, Felix claims that global warming is caused by "underwater volcanism" -- with no scientific method, of course.

red do you have any idea the thousands of icebreakers you would need to have an impact on an ocean of ice? of course the volcanoes will warm the water. but probably not enough to make a noticeable difference. the heat from the underwater crust is already heating up the oceans a bit. wait... since when do you guys admit the ocean is warming?

So all the idiot researchers and probably thousands of other idiots in their icebreakers in the Arctic breaking up the ice and complaining that the ice is breaking up...........more idiots.......

Volcanic eruptions reshape Arctic ocean floor
June 26, 2008 Gakkel Ridge beneath the Arctic ocean, where a valley filled with flat-topped volcanos up to 2 km wide and hundreds of metres high has been found...The eruptions - as big as the one that buried Pompei - took place in """1999""" along the Gakkel Ridge, an underwater mountain chain snaking 1,800 km from the northern tip of Greenland to Siberia...Both sonar and visual images showed an ocean valley filled with volcanos

If you think that volcanic heat is melting the ice, then you need to provide some evidence of that alternative theory.
And then you could try to get it published.

Scientists have known about global warming since the 1950's. Two Generations. Politicians ignored it, big businesses ignored it, now most of the world finally knows about it.
So now the big businesses aren't ignoring it, they are lying about it, and throwing lots of money around to create this so called controversy.

So none of you actually tried to fight my points so i am re posting this again, +-ATTENTION-+ their is the same amount of sea ice in the ocean as their ever was.
majikninja07 1 year ago
actually, if you understand the difference between area and volume, that's probably not the case.
And if you understand the concept of polar amplification, and get it that the north pole does not equal the south pole, you would understand that the process is manifesting most rapidly in the north, ,for a variety of reasons.
greenman3610 1 year ago
@greenman3610 lol, talking down to people with your admin privileges how cute, So.. considering the warming is happening in perma frosted areas it is a good thing, the two bread baskets will produce more for the world hey it could even help with the already doubled prices and if cap and trade starts up the quintupling of world food prices, Anyway just blame the rivers for polar amplification or you can blame how much more heat water absorbs then land masses which might actually make sense
majikninja07 1 year ago
@greenman3610 And as for the area vs volume i'd like you to look it up yourself and find out rather then assuming your PoV is right
majikninja07 1 year ago
@majikninja07
Skydancer365 1 year ago
1st off he said probably so he doesn't know, and it would increase the size of the bread baskets quickly and it would start growing slowly into the perma frost areas. as for increased heat it was helped many of the areas they have said it would hurt, and nutritional content is already near zero in all countries that radiate their food so that shouldn't be your huge concern because in america everything that is said to be organic just means it is non irradiated.
majikninja07 1 year ago
@majikninja07
Otherwise we'll assume that you're just spreading nonsense.
substanti8 1 year ago
@substanti8 you do not seem to understand what i am saying which is - total sea ice- vs what this video is all about which is - arctic sea ice- with a little shot at my argument which he forgot to cover in his next segment. any ways i no longer give out were i get my information because everyone just tries to attack the scientist or institution(s) look it up for your self
majikninja07 1 year ago
So you don't dispute that the volume of Arctic sea ice is decreasing?
substanti8 1 year ago
i never have, in the last 6 thousands years that history can go back to what we know of the northern cap is that it is unstable and grows and shrinks in an unknown amount often its just depends on why you think it is shrinking at the present
majikninja07 1 year ago
@majikninja
Well, since you agree that the volume of Arctic sea ice is decreasing, then where is the sea ice increasing? That's a necessary condition for your statement six days ago to be true -- your claim that total sea ice in the world's oceans is not decreasing.
substanti8 1 year ago
this is why Anthropogenic global warming slaves are so easy to control your absolutely retarded, how do you not understand if their are 2 hemispheres the northern is shrinking what does that tell you about the southern?

So are seriously suggesting that the ice-bergs flew south for the winter? Do you have a citation for that? It's just that you are making such vague claims.
