Holy smokes! I'm aware that Nat King Cole was a pianist first, a vocalist second, but it's his trio that shows this best. What wonderful work on the piano in this song!

@sclogse1 Thx for explaining perfectly why we are still watching this in awe after 60 years! I just learned that Natalie Cole & her siblings, as 'King Cole Partners' are working hard to pull down youtube channels with their father's music. pimsquirt (from Australia) got the axe today -loads of beautiful music gone. My channel is a tribute to the best artists on earth with 15,000 vids on 630 playlists. Added this to my 1951 playlist, one of 112 lists for every year since 1900. JUST - thx 4 this!

Nat Cole is so young here, I guess it was recorded around 1940.

@likemyviolin copyright on video says 1951, but I agree his appearance makes this look earlier, as you said. I see the sync is off, wonder if they released old video with a newer recording?
