Ok, well say you had an image of.. Sprites. And there was like 20+ of them, but they were all 1 big image. How can i make it so that each individual sprite is it's own image? PLZ RESPOND!!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely loved your video! It was well presented, covered all aspects of how to use the tools and was fun listening to your comments when you messed up.
I thought I was the only one that did that!! HAHA
my lasso is only free hand and it doesn't want to cut. How do i cut? and i've checked up there, and there is only one lasso, and i can't select it to be minus, plus or nothing. Can any1 help?
do you pay attention to what tool I grab? make sure it's the polygonal lasso - hold down over the circular lasso and you'll get options - choose the polygonal lasso tool
If you want to download photoshop, just go to google and type,"Adobe Photoshop Downloads." And just go from there. But you don't have to buy Adobe Photoshop.
I have a question about this- I tried it on my computer- I opened up an image into photoshop and used the lasso tool to cut out the image- except instead of getting a checkard background I have just a white background. So now my picture is cut out but it has an all white background. My goal is to have just the image alone like yours- not just erase the background. What am I doing wrong?
I covered this in the beginning, but it is often overlooked. Make sure your image is not the background layer (which is a default setting when opening up an image in PS). Simply right click on the layer in the layers window and select "layer from background" - I hope this helps!
I dont know really anything about photoshop but i have a problem. I am trying to take an image from its background and place it into pagemaker for a poster but after cropping it and placing it there is still a white background attached. how do i eliminate the background and just get the image? I really don't know what I am doing. =(
if i cropped around a basketballm, how would i save the basketball? but i tihnk i know now.. click the rect. marq. then rightclick, invert something.. and then copy into another layer, delete other layer and keep the other part, lol
Thank you very much this is very helpful for me.

2. i was the one of the heads of the largest PSD ("cut" images in photoshop format) sites on the net, so I know what I'm doing.

Removing a background is not called cropping, you obviosuly don't know a lot about Photoshop.
