  • your amp sounds like a guy talking.... I dont want to buy that

  • I think my artisan 15 is upside down, he keeps pointing to channel 1 and calling it 2 and pointing to 2 and saying 1???

  • I have one of these on order.. Plan to pickup in the next week or two..

  • hello, that pickup? good clean the best thank´s

  • These amps are great. I paid nearly £800 for mine and it was worth every penny. Far better than the Fender Hot Rod it replaced.

  • that pickup´s ?

  • Are those standard strat HSS pickups or are they replacements? If so what are they, they sound sound sweet with this amp??

  • He does have a hum bucker on the strat logen

  • This little amp cost too damn much

  • @Sean2592 Have you heard it in person yet? If you have, you'll understand.

  • makes the strat sound it's playing through humbuckers.

  • Keep coming back for a listen to this demo and it convinces me more each time that I've got to own one of these babies

  • is there anyway of making the channels footswitchable?

  • @isabellebrown2010 You'd need an A/B switch like if you were using multiple amps, but yes it's possible. You could probably get the best sound just by jumping the channels and cranking the little sucker

  • Beautiful amps, but I think it's very ironic that I have trouble hearing what he's saying (considering what he's selling :3)

  • He actually starts playing @ 2:39

  • Playing starts at 2:38 for anyone who's intrested =P

  • Never knew Grant Mitchell could play! Nice amp guys.... shame there is no EQ for the price

  • how much! let me guess, 3000 bux?

  • Absolutely love this amp..!! It's the Queen's nips. And it's made in the UK, which I spose is a good thing. I agree though, less talking, more playing please... this amps as simple as it gets, what's to explain?!

  • @imakemuffinsme I believe these amps are made in Korea, though still top-notch quality.

  • @617areacode Good point...they are indeed! Thought it was just the HT-series until I looked at the back of my own Artisan 15...oops, cheers!

  • @imakemuffinsme I've read somewhere that it's NOT made in the UK, it's only designed there.

  • @howeworth yup you're right, they're made in Korea, my bad.

  • @howeworth orange are koreanmade too.So what?

  • All you people saying less talk more play, you just have to realise that northerners like to explain things in great detail, nothing wrong with that is there?

  • yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HOw long does it take to explain FOUR knobs?

  • Can anyone tell me if they have experience with this kind of EQ setup with just TONE and VOL. How versatile is it, and are there any major disadvantages with it?

  • If you want an instant fix get a Line-6 Pod muppet.....or skip to 2.39sec if your brain don't do 'science'.

  • If you want an instant fix get a Line-6 Pod muppet.....or skip to 2.39sec if your brain don't do 'science'.....this is a killer handwired amp - from a new english amp maker - support it!.

  • If you want an instant fix get a Line-6 Pod muppet.....or skip to 2.39sec if your brain don't do 'science'.....this is a killer handwired amp - from a new english amp maker - support it!.

  • F--k get on with it ya bore!!

  • they sound great but there is a problem...

if you use the natural overdrive of the amp and want some reverb(pedal) and don't want that to put it between your guitar and the artisan (because you don't want to reverb to be overdrived...) you cannot have a reverb !

they could not make a FX loop !?!

  • There would be little point in having an FX loop in the Artisan series as the overdriven sound is only achieved by cranking the power amp, which would be after the FX loop anyway. I found that a digitech hardwire reverb pedal sounded pretty good even when the gain was at about 1 O'Clock.

  • Why do these people feel the need to talk for 3 minutes before ever strumming a chord?

We're here for music. Yes tell us the specs, but keep us interested by engaging our ears.

  • Comment removed

  • @revelinabandon i generally agree, but i dont mind it if the video is made by the manufacturer... i hate it when the average jo-blow buys it and then gives all the specs... because generally they dont know what they are talking about.. just reading from the specs sheet.... but yeah. if the dude made it, let him explain his product i think! :)

  • (sorry for the english)

i've test it in a store and it's just magic i was soloing smoothly (blues) and then i made a big power chord and then its was just enormous (i said ooh yeah now i understand,

Blackstar the sound in your head !)

its the most reactiv amp i never played

and there is a big difference between 5W and 15W...

15W is more ''round'' ''warm'' ''hot''

just one problem i dint test it at very high volume can someone tell me if it could work for gig and live ?

  • where is the difference between the vintage celestion 30 speaker and the vintage g12m and which one do you play in the vid.

    thanks

  • thanks for all your help..iv just got one of these puppies and it beats my soldano hands down...A couple of things though.I cant, and many others access your web page;iv tried on my mac and p.c. and it blocks because of 'viruses'..so can you tell me the excatct weight. And on your endorsements you may have noticed stereodhonics using your gear on joolz holland last night.Even though they suck dick.

  • are the channels switchable?

  • Only if you use an A/B pedal.

  • thanks..any particular recomandations?

  • I used a Boss selector pedal to change between the channels of the Artsian 15. It isn't true bypass but I didn't notice any signal loss. It was also only an AB pedal.

Morley do an ABY pedal which is true bypass and allows you to mix the two channels, but it's a little more.

  • do you use a reverb and how ?

  • how do you get full head room out of this amp. anyone change tubes 12 at7 au7

  • Nice amps, nice guys, nice company.

But my comment today is just to say I REALLY love Ian's Strat! I'm gonna make myself one like that. - Ed

  • blah blah blah! too much talky..just play it.

we can read about the specs online!!!

  • @tonemeister3 where can you read these specs online, coz i cant find them...

  • @matty3279 go to the blackstar website or find an online vendor,

    they usually have the specs.

  • @tonemeister3

i thought exactly the same lol

  • the only problem is...

just the head on its own is £700.

    i got a blackheart instead.

  • Sounds good...BUT...there is no send and return...that really sucks !!!

  • Same thing goes for the Artisan 15...

Single Coils are JUST FINE! Marvelous!

    BAD ASS! MOJO TONE!

Just Dial in the Tone Man...you can get all of them...

  • Sounds very naughty with his guitar- anyone know how they sound with crappy old single coil pickups (eg. early 60's Fender Jag)?

  • No...it's 5 Watts class A and 15 Watts class B

  • These are pretty cool.

I've only got a HT-5 sitting downstairs (not that I play even a lick of guitar. :D) but the sound that comes outta that thing....

    These things are awesome.

  • Well, I had the opportunity to grab a Artisan 30 and I snatched it right up! The 15 is beautiful and the 30 is beautifulX2= WHAM!

These are probably the Best Sounding Amps out there Period...They Are Great sounding...the EQ's actually do something! The Bass Shape and Voice Controls are amazing in that they dial in the Richness and fullness you are looking for..Can't go wrong with these Amps for Humbucking guitars. Doc

  • Sounds Awesome.

  • jesus, what a great amp, i'm from brazil and i think i will never play i this amp but dream don't cost anything, haha

  • Guy's, this dude is the designer and co owns the company. He is explaining the amp to you. He's not a salesman.

    He believes in his product.

Don't see any fender amp techs on here explaining their amps do you?

  • @stratcat6969 Absolutely spot on. I'm all for opinions but this guy DESIGNED the amp. I just got one of these amps and it plays brilliantly. The BH15 112 is good value but has nothing like the tone this has.

  • i played this post to my bud who is like a top session guy

he rekons your amps are fantastic,,well priced ,,but your demo lacked any kind of real world vibe or enthusiasm ,,,,put a bit of zip in it bro,,,more playing less yapping,,,,best max o'

  • yeh,,blackstar, you got the amp ,,,but you think your yakking is more interesting,,,than the amp,,,,,maybe mr z crapper could suggest a sales voice over thats a little more succint

,,,,,,ive heard the amp now in the flesh and its a really good fucking amp,,why spoil it with an ad that sucks?????????????

  • maxziz, if you're so good at everything stop fucking around on videos dedicated to blackstar amps and do something with your life.

  • Is it enough for playing i concert with 500-1000 persons ?

    Thanks

  • its fine if your micing it and putting it through a system, but if youre planning to play with no micing you're dreamin. unless 1000 people are packed into your bedroom

  • Beautiful sounding amps, i don't know why y'all aren't more popular, that's ok now since y'all are carried in Guitar Centers in America you will probably get more recognition.
