I'd ask you to tell me where your logic has served to give you ANY idea of what a culture is like in a certain area.

There isn't any correlation in the sense that only metal bands come from Country X and pop groups come from Country Y. But there is a distinct style within multiple genres that is unique to some places. Like flamenco guitar is primarily associated with Spain, etc... And music is culture, so by understanding the music, you are understanding part of culture.

Nick was born in Blackpool, England and has grown up in Germany (Munich). I don't know, when he moved to Glasgow, but now he lives there.

Bob was born in Dewsbury, growed up in Bradford.

that's all I know about their hometowns.
