  • Can you use a paint gun or an aeropgraph to apply the foam coat?

  • @YouthClash I have not tried that approach. That is uncharted turf for me.

  • Is there anything like in this video that can be used to making head castings and molds? Fore one there was very little mess in this video, in witch i am trying to find away to make molds and casting with very little mess. And i wouldlike your input on this as well, would plaster cloth be a way to go for casting a head and not have the mess?

  • @cartoonkeith1 Check out our other videos. We have several videos dealing with head molds and similar projects. For more complete info than what we can put on youtube, check out the DVDs on our webstore.

  • is it smart to make batman Arkham asylum armor with this

  • @MrBassem95 Not sure what you mean.

  • @brickintheyard put styrofoam under underarmor so it looks like batman or will it break apart

  • @MrBassem95 For costume pieces I would coat the foam with EZ Flo resin or 1512 resin. Much stronger and impact resistant than straight foam coat.

  • amazing! I love seeing the process

  • kipkay has a video showing how to make a hot wire tool

  • I am making a prop gun and i want it to be as realistic as possible. Does any body know does the gun bluing work on that metal paint?

  • I was under the assumption that to purchase styro-foam was expensive. Most people don't have blocks of foam to work with.??

  • Styro-foam is relatively cheap compared to a lot of materials. Scraps of it are free. Most of what I used here was scrap from packaging.

  • Assuming the sculptor is gifted enough, could this be used to make prop knives? Or perhaps a hammer? Or does the hardening agent cause the foam to become bridle? This seems more cost effective than casting molds for such objects.

  • Yes, you can create whatever kind of prop that your skill level permits. It is very cost effective. If you don't need multiples this is a great production method. You can also use the "bounce" additive to make the foam coat flexible. Check our webstore for more info.

  • random question. Did you not give the hot glue gun enough time to warm up or was the trigger not working? Just asking cuz it seems you had to push the sticks to make them go.

  • Trigger broke.

  • were you able to fix it? The same thing happened to me so I had to open it up and re-attach the spring inside.

  • Haven't bothered. Glue guns are cheap. May just get yet another one.

  • very good!!! thanks!!

  • You provide so many sparks to the creative mind. :-)

  • I provide the gas leak, you provide the spark.

  • ahhh yes

  • Another great video! Please keep them coming, really makes my day when I see a new BITY video in my subscriptions list.

  • Thanks!

  • That foam coating seems pretty nifty...

I'm glad your carrying foam supplies now:)
