That is exactly what is happening in the video. The Knight is reaching the Morat with his first short skill and hitting with his second short skill. The Morat make a Ballistic Skill ARO. It is a Face to Face roll.

What do you don´t understand?

@bostria No problem with that, but I've thought that also figures outside the upcoming cc would throw f2f with the assaulting figure, like do they get to shoot the fellow before he gets to sword-range.
