  • Did I really hear the officer near the end say SAILORIZATION? Never heard of such a word.

  • 2:10 if he was in my face I probably couldn't help but laugh.

  • all the people saying GO MARINES are just a bunch of 16 year olds in high school that saw the commercials a few to many times....

  • Go Navy! I'm Air Force actually, but my sister went Navy. Just an FYI, ranks come faster in the enlisted Navy than in the Air Force (and Army/Marines, I think)

  • Its not how symbolic the hat is it's what it stand for. It may not be much but you earned it. And if u you can appreciate a baseball cap than you can appreciate just about anything.

  • a baseball cap? not to disrespect, but getting an EGA is a lot more symbolic than getting a baseball cap in my opinion

  • @lon3lyaznikka doesnt matter what they give you. could be a block of wood, they had to EARN it.

  • When I went through BC in 2000 it was a joke and I enjoyed it.

While in service I kept hearing stories that they toned it down even more, like they give out freakin time out cards now, WTF?

I wonder how much of a joke it is now... I miss the Navy.

  • They train you they are helping your ass outta rut so what gives you right to say shit...Anyone puts their own counrty's military down is a loser anyways..no morals or concepts of living and learning....jst bunch of lousy complainers

  • If your not a pussy you can handle it...plus if it wasnt for our country you wouldnt be able to shit ur happyass down n tlk shit on this website....hasnt mother taught you if you dnt have nothing nice to say dont say it...anyone who knows ppl in military knows that it is hard...And if you cant hadle lil spit how you gonna make it through other bullshit in life

  • I think the video is simply to give you an idea of what your getting into. Duh they dont wanna scare ppl off...but anybody who knows ppl who have been in military you should know its hard... Come on its the fucking navy!...

  • This is what u worked for!!! a baseball cap with NAVY written on it!!!

  • @jimmyjam9014 It's more then just a hat. You would'ent understand if you havent gone to basic.

  • @Oddball21Airborne idk, my friend told me she was disappointed xD she's been in the navy for almost 2 contracts i think

  • @jimmyjam9014 Well im glad to hear that and god bless her. But its a symbol of something you have worked for.

  • when would they get the uniform the instructor wears

  • No matter what branch, I feel like all drill instructors sound the same when they yell.

  • im young and im looking foward to the navy i have thought about it for a long time and i am being in the navy when im 18

  • I was medically discharged from the navy for at the time undiagnosed conditions (physical)but in hindsight I wish I would have taken the advice of people and gone ROTC instead of enlisted.

  • 4:34 watchu talkin bout navy?

  • wow, my computer blew up from cheese overload there at the end.

  • I am Completing my 5 years of faith Naval Service here in a couple of months. Southern Oregon Picked me up as a Second year transfer. I recommend the Military for anyone that is wanting to better their skills and gain exp in a field that they want to work in either in military or as a civilian. I was a Master at Arms also known as antiterroism force protection. I was accepted in to the SELRES. BUT be advised that their is a waiting list now for the Navy. due to downsizing.

  • But its up to you and only you on what the military is. You might like that navy or you might hate it every day. Just know when you make that commitment GO THRU with it. Do Not MALINGER. But i wish you all as my future fellow shipmates the best of luck in your endeavors. HOOOYAH.

  • i really want to be a Navy SEAL but the Navy training seems a little boring and just a drag. What should i do? I love the pain thats why im thinking MARSOC but SEALs BUD/s is harder.

  • @stormof11 MARSOC is easily the most comparable and arguably better actual combat training. Also MARSOC is the only spec ops branch with a time limit. I am 0321 but when i am forced out i plan on trying out and retiring as a SEAL. The deciding factor for me is that going to USMC boot camp means if i change branches i will never need to go to another branch's boot camp or basic, where Army rangers, Air Force PJs and Navy SEALs becoming Marines need to go to USMC boot camp like any fresh civilian.

  • @MrCalicious Parris Island was so fun.

  • i hate looking at all this shit. Im joining the NAVY and I have friends in the marines and airforce and we are all brothers we never argue about whos better. We take a great pride in being part of the military. One of them can shoot a rifle better, One can be a better plane mechanic, and I want to do electrical work on submarines. We are all good at certain things and the only important thing is that we are all using out talents to defend this country. GROW UP people

  • Getting my Navy hat was one of the most emotional things I have ever done... so sad to go onto the fleet and learn what a giant crock of shit the navy is. I'm now discharged (honorably) after 4 years and I'm completely ashamed to have participated in such a corrupt system.

  • @somaticcinema I hear ya. I did my 4 year bid 20 years ago, and what a crock of fucking shit. It sucks though, I look back on it now, knowing I could've been retired right now. I didn't get to shoot a 12 gauge when I was in bootcamp. I only got to fire the 9MM.

LMFAO @ 2:00 that guy sounds like a Sargeant Slaughter wannabe. Our CC's weer much tougher than that powder puff

  • there is nothing i would locve more than to be an officer in this great nations navy.

  • @typicalviewer2 If that is what you really want to do, then you should look into it. Don't visit a recruiter though, they will just get you to enlist. Navy officers are treated like kings from Ensign up. The Navy will even pay for your college, but it usually requires a lot of dedication and hard work from the average person. In other words, if you are naturally smart, it is easier. Anything in life that is worth having is worth working for. Great retirement benefits too.

  • @ratkillerinparadise the thing is I'm already committed to going to a university, but I've been told that if I get a bachelors of science degree then I will be able to take another 4 years at a naval academy. I think I will also be doing americorps over the summers so I'm hoping that will help.

  • @typicalviewer2 I knew some guys that joined the Navy while in college, they picked up their tuition costs. I personally would graduate first with the B.S. in your area of choice, then see what they will offer if you can afford to do that. If you are indifferent to the area of study, find out which graduates the Navy will pay the most. Then get into that area. Some may have hefty enlistment bonuses.

  • The marines are just a department of the navy... Just sayin

  • @SInCodelero Yes, and that would be the men`s department!!!!

  • Marines are better... just sayin...

  • How is the food in the RTC?

  • @ritaking2011 its not that bad really, its definitly not 5 star chef material. some meals are better than others for sure

  • who the fuck would want to subject themselves to this shit?

  • @bigsammieking People with integrity who want to serve their country.

  • @latnyid and up killing people they never met. Only to make the rich richer. I am not for peace by any means. Maybe some are ok with the "Mine is not to ask why but to do and die" mentality but I place more stock in human life. You dont need the military to have honor or integrity and theres more noble causes to serve.

  • @bigsammieking oh shut the fuck up, you ignorant coward, in all my years in the Navy, i never killed anyone who didnt deserve it.

typical coward like you, a keyboard kommando who would rather hide behind his mommas skirt than be a real man.

Honor, integrity is what all of those sailors have. Something you are lacking.

  • @latnyid ...college

  • @bladzero ah huh... college.. dual masters... successful career in IT.. all after serving my country in the Navy.

  • @latnyid ask people what they joined for, not so many has that reason

  • @bladzero that too. but truth be told.. most lifers never go to college, but they serve their country for two decades or more... to me that is all about dedication.

  • navy boot camp may be easier, but don't be fooled you are punished for every little infraction, and humiliated in the process. Our "irock" or whatever they called him was set back 4 weeks just because he couldnt keep the division from talking too loud during picture day. Its a fact seen tough guys sent home as well. When they say armed forces they mean it, and I think it applies to all branches regardless of being easier or harder.

  • ha ha I was in PASS in July 2001

  • THE NAVY BALL CAP IS JUST AN EXAMPLE OF A PLASTIC TROPHY SAYING GOOD JOB, YOU DID IT. THE REAL, 8-POINT COVER WILL BE WORN INSTEAD. IF YOU ARE A FUTURE SAILOR THAT IS THINKING ABOUT JOINING THE NAVY OR ARE SOON GOING TO BE SHIPPED OUT TO NAVY BASIC TRAINING, I SALUTE YOU. THERE ARE GOING TO BE HARD TIMES WHILE YOU ARE HERE AND THERE WILL BE TIMES WHERE YOU WILL THINK THAT IT WAS JUST WAY TOO EASY. MY ADVICE FOR YOU IS TO STUDY YOUR RANK AND RECOGNITION, AND GET AS FIT AS POSSIBLE!

  • OK! I HAVE READ QUITE A FEW COMMENTS ON HERE. FIRST THING I WANNA SAY IS THAT THIS VIDEO IS THE MOST WATERED DOWN DESCRIPTION OF THE REAL NAVY BASIC TRAINING. I, MYSELF, AM CURRENTLY A U.S NAVY FIRE CONTROLMAN. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE 9 HARD WEEKS OF NAVY BASIC TRAINING. THIS IS NOTHING LIKE IT. IT ONLY SHOWS THE ACTIVITIES AND GOALS. IT DOES NOT SHOW THE HARD SWEAT AND TEARS FROM BEING I.T'D (INTENSIVE TRAINED!). IT DOES NOT SHOW YOU GETTING SCREAMED AT AND SPIT IN THE FACE!

  • @YungTekBitch yes you are correct this and other videos don't show you behind the scenes. Ive had trash cans thrown at me my rack flipped, and of course every swear word thrown at at me as well. Not to mention the beat downs as well.

  • @freestyle29a you really get beat up, and spit at?

  • @jhole221 They haven't done those things in a looong time. When the term "getting beat" is used it means that they force you to exercise until you can't move anymore (aka Intensive Training on a personal level).

  • @YungTekBitch I LOVE CAPS TOO <3

  • OK! I HAVE READ QUITE A FEW COMMENTS ON HERE. FIRST THING I WANNA SAY IS THAT THIS VIDEO IS THE MOST WATERED DOWN DESCRIPTION OF THE REAL NAVY BASIC TRAINING. • I HEAR HALF OF THE ACTIVE DUTY FEMALES GET PREGNANT AND AT SEA ANOTHER HALF GET PREGNANT. I'M NOT ASKING IT'S A STAT.

  • wow that's so cheesy to get a baseball cap -.-

  • this is what you have worked for >:( a hat that says navy on it!! SERIOUSNESSSS!!

  • do they all have to wear geeky glasses

  • lol ppl are fuckin retarded (marines) on HOW HARD BOOTCAMP IS!!! holy shit 8 weeks of your life is gonna b cool if its considerd hard like the MARINES. who gives a FUCK. it is just BOOT CAMP! jesus i mean id rather get treated with respect than like some piece of shit. fuckin peices of shit that think the marines are all fucking hardcore is the reason why i quit my 4 year "dream" on becomeing a marine. you future is more badass than some fucking bootcamp or a uniform

  • @bigfitz1992 soo true bro. couldnt agree more with you. i was at parris island for marine bootcamp, i got discharged/separted. best thing to ever happen to me. now im thinking of joining the navy

  • @kstar776 yea im tired of all this branch rivalry so many ppl tell me how gay the navy is and be a badass and join the marines. i tell them how gay they are bcus they work retail blah blah blah. just do what you wanna do and suffer the conciquences or gain the dream, and for my personal choice, life of the sea or at a base is my dream

  • @bigfitz1992 People respect the uniform they wear. Im on Navy ROTC and i respect my uniform even if im not in the military.

  • navy*

  • ok so if you look at videos of coast guard boot camp, its almost as tough as the marines.... i think they should trade places with the bavy

  • i love how he delivers the speech at the beginning of the cap exchange ceremony. you don't see that kind of fire over such 'trivial' things in other places. to most people it's jus a hat, but once you go through all that you know it's so much more. i can't wait to get mine. (leaving for basic april 13th)

  • overplayed cheesy music and 99cent caps, sounds like a good time

  • navy is for losers MARINE CORPS IS FOR WINNERS

  • it's amazing how tradition is abandoned. where is the sailor's cap at graduation? i wasn't in the service, but i respect it. now they get a cheap plain ball style cap you can get in any mall store. no history. no respect. no sense of history, no respect for all the men, and some women, who gave their lives wearing the sailor's cap. so disrespectful. it's as if history doesn't exist before fucking mtv. it's time to bring back the draft. it's because they are forced to have an all volunteer force.

  • military mustache ftw

  • i respect the navy, but god damn they need to make the boot camp harder. this seriously looks like a trip to chucky cheeses compared to my boot camp.

  • Well I was Navy and can tell you I was on the front lines, just 1 mile off the coast of Vietnam firing our 6" guns in support of the Marines. I had to stand bridge watches so often saw those shells landing in the water around us. But I also remember all travel and good times as well.

  • yay, i earned a hat.

  • thank God i never ended up in the military, it's a satanic cult where they brainwash you and turn nice kids into emotionally disturbed wrecks

  • @iorixs The Navy isn't like the Marines where you're trained to kill. The Navy is a more technical branch of the military; you rarely see actual confrontation unless there's a major war at sea or along coastline. I had a very good friend who went into the Marines sometime back however. He's been at it for awhile now and the last time I saw him he had changed into someone he wasn't. The Marines did their job and made him a killer, and sadly I don't think he'll ever be the same............

  • @iorixs continued - , but the Marines and the Navy are two very different beasts. The Marines are on the frontlines doing their job as they are ordered to (That's a soft way of putting it), but the Navy takes more of a supporting role. Sure, the military isn't the best place to be if you don't want blood on your hands, but somebody has to do the job. America may have as much blood on its hands as most other countries, but we do what needs to be done to remain the greatest and most free.

  • did you film this with a potato?

  • Go Navy! I consider the Navy to be diff from any other in all the best ways. Navy isn't a branch where do just do your time and try to get it over with, its a very traditionally proud and respectfully earned branch where any man or women can build a career to help benefit there life to the greatest extent. Navy is the most rewording feeling anyone can earn.

  • 2qt FTW

  • The picture quality on this video sucks ass.

  • I remember going to my local recruitment center where all branches were smahed inside small office areas like sardine cans. I talked to the Army, then got stopped by the Marines on my way out and dragged in their office. The one pushed me in the chair and asked what I was doing talking to the Army. (He treated me like a "jar-head." (ha-ha!) He had me take an apptitude test, which I didn't do so hot on, then drove me home. He expected to see me the next day, but I never showed up. (Cont. below)

  • @aa9g1 Then, a week later, they figured out where I worked at & a Staff Sgt. showed up there all uniformed up. He stood against a building beam-rod, and kept staring at me. (Creepy!) I never saw him again after that. (This was in 1997.) They came by my house and rang my doorbell. It was military harrassment I tell you! Now, God Bless our service men and women, so nothing against them, but wow! I didn't think I was that important enough of a person to go out of your way to talk too, eh? (Cont.)

  • @aa9g1 I never did join the service, and today I'm too overweight, but all the other adventures I've had thus far have been jsut great, and the people I've met. I have had some fun (and not so fun) jobs along the way. I have learned just about all I've wanted to learn, and earned a number of college degrees as well. The military is great for some, but not for everybody. Both my cousins went in the Marines & I have the upmost respect and appreciation for them. (Esp. one that went to Iraq once.)

  • Joining the navy as a Corpsman.

  • I heard now the recruits only have to wear boots for inspections, and reveille is at 0600 in stead of 4...BOO!!!

  • i remember in boot camp we had a guy that did 2 years in the army. our drill instructor said " what? the army cant teach a turd to march so they want us to teach a turd to float?" i laughed so hard i had to do push ups for an hour or so,LOL.

are they still allowed to MASH recruits? my knuckles still hurt just thinking about that.

  • @blairew1 I just got out of boot camp and I don't know what that is. We just did a ton of 8 counts and mountain climbers.

  • @blairew1 You're right. I'm in the Army and they don't concentrate much on teaching us how to march. But they do teach us how to go to war, kill, be physically fit, survive on the battlefield, shoot, be a soldier, etc.

  • looks easy to be honest

  • Why is it every Military discussion always results in one branch either being better than the other or more "gung-ho"? Last time I checked all our branches fight under the same flag. Since when do we automatically call our servicemen and servicewomen names just cause they chose a different branch other than yours? And whoziwut69, USMC and USN are both under the Department of the Navy. If you are a vet or current active duty, than I salute, but re-consider the name calling man.

  • @rawbutto I have always wondered this.

  • @rawbutto

well done. you spoke very strongly.

check out my "final fly off" video posted on my page

  • @rawbutto - because they figure since one branch goes through a probably long boot camp or a even more strict and tough time than the other they automatically assume .. that they are better because THEY think they had it harder - its all either out of jealousy or pride - the military is the military it doesn't matter what branch it is they all require DISCIPLINE!!

  • @rawbutto I agree with you

  • @rawbutto Mainly the reason branches talk trash about each other is mainly for motivation, i'm willing to bet if a marine was in the field and had a navy man watching his back, he wouldn't mind.

At least someones there, and is watching your back.

  • fucking pussies. United States Marine Corps. Semper Fi. HOORAH!

  • @whoziwut69 toolbag

  • @whoziwut69 the navy has two of the best soldiers in the US military under them. SEALs and SWCCs.. no one else has anything on them or some of the other spec ops teams.

  • @WorshipHim247365 seals swccs and marines

  • @whoziwut69 the marines are nice, ut if the navy wanted to they can beat all the other branches. im not saying the navy is the best or marines are the best but if u dont like navy go fuck yourself

  • @whoziwut69 Congratulations! You weren't smart enough for a job in the navy, but at least you can run and shoot.

  • @whoziwut69 You do realize that the Marine Corps is part of the Navy right?

  • @whoziwut69 marines say ooorah not hoorah

  • ok 3:56 is hilarious

  • This video reminds me of my summers with my father. The navy's boot camp looked easier tho.

  • how long is the training?

  • ehhhh piece of cake. i need more excitement go USMC

  • Im an Army Infantryman.... and I was a Navy OS3......and I can tell You, Navy's Bootcamp was WAY harder.

  • @adrian30020 how is that adrian? im think of joining the navy as a gunner's mate.

  • im 12 and ive been through military camp, and boot camp. im going in the military as a navy seal.

  • @ImOnOne2

The Navy BT might be easier but Navy training prepares you better for sure

  • Happy vets day!!

  • @ImOnOne2 I'm pretty sure that every branch say that they're the best. There is no BEST service. However, there may be a branch that is "Best" for you

  • Well damn, i'm glad i chose the Air Force, from what i hear it is the best branch of military to join. I leave for Basic December 28th.

  • @ImOnOne2 great choice im in the Army in Fort wainwright, Alaska n its real shitbaggish up here ..I wish i wud done the Airforce , but im bout ta become a Specialist nxt month , so the it has somewhat of its good moments but The airforce is more professional n organized

  • @ImOnOne2 i went through MA "A" school at NTTC Lackland AF Base from april to june and i've seen the AF BT, dont be fooled, yall have it much easier than the Navy does, and that is not me talking shit about your choice of service thats just me stating my opinion based on what i saw.

  • Instead of a crappy $1 hat that say NAVY on it, he should have had a real sailors hat.

  • @JD06STi They get one but dont wear it during boot camp. Only graduation and the rest of thier navy careers

  • I'm surprised that the Company Commanders don't wear Smokey Bear covers.

  • this seems like a walk through the park compared to USMC B.T

  • i am 99% sure i want to join the Navy but i am 16 195lbs and 5'9'' am i to fat to join i don't want to get there and they say," your to fat for the Navy go join the Army" what is the physical fitness requirements i am a good swimmer but not stuff like running and push ups. plz comment

  • @draesson start running now before you join. just be a little bit in shape and youll be fine :)

  • @draesson You're above weight.

You need to be around 170.

But just run, diet, and focus.

Study for your asvab. And you'll do fine.

  • @draesson It also depends on body fat %.. just be under 22%

  • @iamrobertpaulson how do i find that out

  • @iamrobertpaulson yeah you can get through meps at 25% but i wouldn't recomend that to anyone.

  • wow so they shoot fake guns? that is so fucking gay

  • @66jesko You shoot real ones too. The fake ones are for marksmanship training. Every branch uses them in concert with time on a range.

  • @66jesko they're new recruits, wtf do you expect a new driver to drive, for example, a fucking viper?

  • i knew that this was my division! 334!..... from commissioning to cap exchange Chief Cofield was one tuff ........! i remember she walked in one morning creaming for some reason and wow ... she made that DI from full metal jacket look like a fag!

  • Thanks for a future sailors family. We like the details and count the days until our son graduates.

  • Lol I fell asleep in the locker room during service week and got sent to the "GI hole" for the rest of the day scrubbing pots and pans at the galley. Fun times indeed.

  • @ABitwize Next time don't fall asleep. If you were in my Marine Battalion, and you fell asleep on post out in the sandbox, you'd get the crap beat out of you. It's not fun times, it's serious times. For some it can become deadly times.

    Chief

    HMC(FMF)

  • HOLY SHIT!

This is worse than the Army's! And thats just TOO fucking soft!

Again, thank God I joined the Marines ... shipping out March 7th. :)

  • I graduated Company 194, Div 6, RTC/NTC San Diego (no longer in operation) on 15 Nov 1985. Anybody else? I see how much they advanced. I like the "Battle Stations" concept, we had the "smoke house", "gas chamber" "water survival" and small arms trng. We didnt have the kinder, gentler P.A.S.S. we had "posmo" and "marching parties". where I had to go and get "mashed" after taps lol. We also didnt have the RECRUIT to NAVY ballcap transition. That's a bit corny I think but it's good symbolism.

  • @macichitte It is crazy now!! I went thru in 2001 and you had to run from station to station. Now it is some crazy reinactment of the USS Cole attack...it is a hollywood style set with explosions and fire like Universal Studios...I would love to check it out. An RDC was telling me about it last month. They may have a video of it on YT.

  • Where is the yelling?

  • Is this video fucked compared to the previous?

  • one tip, don't get frustrated when folding ur dirty skivies (even though they are already washed)

  • Oh shit... I am going to be in deep shit because once they get in my face and say somethin funny, I will be dying of laughter because what they're sayin is actually really funny lol

  • @trumpetman1989 i am sure its just for video, and when you re there you re not going to think it sfunny lmao

  • this looks fun lol for real

  • I am kind of starting on my MEP program . I am a fairly educated person . I did score low on the math part of my pre-test for the ASVAB. But mainly due to not being allowed to use the calculator as i am use to. I am having to study how to do math long hand again and also trying to loose 40 pounds . Im a fairly stocky guy and around 5'10 215 pounds oh and i am also 22.. I think I will make it , Its all in what type of person youare and what class you come fro

People please comment on this link

  • @bockydo Did you recruiter tape you and find out your BMI??Your max for your height is 191lbs...I'm 5'10" and at 185lbs....You need to be below 22% when you ship to bootcamp.

  • Yes they will yell in your face and make you feel so tiny but its to make you stronger. If you get PO1 Mojar(spelling) then be scared. Persian looking petty officer very young. i don't remember learning alot or even paying attention in class. Still i passed. Battlestations was awesome and the breakfast by far was done up!

  • is it me or is this video pixelated to hell in certain spots?

  • CO-ED boot camp? The only girls we saw were pics of biker chicks someone smuggled in. Boot has changed a lot from when I went through. When I went through the saying was "Any sane man hates boot camp."

  • @grandpadewey Not sure when you served but they are allowed to serve on Subs as of this year.

  • @anything1234e Yeah, the beginning of the end of the sub service. Now instead of training to fight the boat, they will be up to their eyes in EEO courses because we have Admirals with no balls. Great trade off...Being stylish over combat efficiency...

  • all you get is a hat :(!? Jk i love the navy <3 NJROTC for the win!!!

  • am sure they don't show the darkside or negatives of the Navy... they should

  • Anyone see one of the newer videos? Everything in this one looked like it was 10 years ago when I went, yet the newer videos everything looks so much more high tech, and they said something about the "Ships" now have their own eating areas.

BTW I swear the RDC explaining PASS at the begining of part 2 was one of the RDCs for one of the Ship 11 Divisions. He was a major hard ass as an RDC.

  • I went RtC Orlando 1984

  • Man, we NONE of that cool "shipboard" stuff in the 60s! Quite a bit of PT, and lots of classroom stuff, though. Eight weeks and out. (And unfortunately NO WOMEN!) I spent my whole four years on shore duty, besides (in Florida)!. Best Wishes.

  • This seems so far back for me. I was Division 301 in 2001. I had seen what happens to someone who reenlists so I did my six and got out. I am now using the second option for anyone that joins and gets discharged honorably and getting my Electrical Engineering degree. I am very frugal, and was deployed a lot, so I managed to save quite a bit before I got out and now attend college jobless and debt free.

  • im glad to know kind of what my brother goes through!

  • "This is what you have worked for, a HAT, RAWWWRR!!!!!"

  • i sleep when i get tired. any hour of the day.

  • i can't sleep 5 hours a day. for some reason. 24 hours does not mean anything.

  • iv'e seen them all. all from them. you want to change yourl life. you do it now.

  • okay i wanna join the navy but im a lil fluffy and im woried i wont make it. how easy is it? and what happens after you suceed at bootcamp?

  • @danbearpig1

Bootcamp is basicly fat camp, I went through about 6 months ago. It's an easy day. You'll probably loose the fluff, as long as you take the PT seriously, and watch what you eat. Most of what they have is baked foods. But you can still eat allot of jumk while you are there.

After boot, you do pretty much one of two things. Go to a "A" school to learn your rate (job) well atleast the basics, or go directly to fleet. Both are nothing like boot.

  • @danbearpig1 It depends how you prepare for boot camp. I am in the delayed entry program which is to prepare you for boot camp. The majority of the deppers fail their initial fitness assessment and could get let go. All in all if you do what your supposed to be doing then theres a chance you could graduate.

  • @danbearpig1 See the Navy website for PT standards or google it. It would help if you can run 1.5 miles in less than 12 minutes, do 20 pushups and 60 situps within 2 mins. Those are the standards, just saying if you can do that then you'll do fine with the PT. If you picked your job before signing the paperwork, then you head off to "A" school, possible another school depending on the job you picked/qualified for, then head off to a sea or shore command. Additional questions, shoot me an email.

  • drill instructures dont look as scary as usmc drill seargents

  • @Spartankillerx1 The USMC has Drill INSTRUCTORS not Sergeants.
