  • How did you get such good quality video in 2006?

  • @rockerchickomg30

    English = UK

    American = USA ?

  • @TheLiamketchup African = ? whait

  • "From Britain's 'The Office' ". THANK YOU.

  • I don't get it. For some reason british comedy doesn't amuse me. I'm not trying to be mean but I just don't get it.

  • @DAN5675able Aw you should try a full episode mate, some real funny bits!

  • @LetsGoFcukingMental yeah i actually did and there are a couple of funny parts. i do prefer the american one more but this is is okay in my opinion.

  • @DAN5675able Ah well how bland would the world be if everybody liked the exact same thing?

  • As an American I love the original Office. Just like, as an American, I love shows like MST3K which were made in America. Liking something from one country or another does not make me more cultured than people who don't like one or the other.

  • I so need a recording of Martin saying YOU'RE A COCK YOU'RE A COCK YOU'RE A COCK, preferably on my phone as a ringtone.

  • American version sucks ass, it's just shitty in-your-face attempts at humour, which aren't at all funny. The original is pure magic

  • American version stomps shit.

  • I like both however i do think in my own personal opinion the british to comedy better.

  • My new ringtone!

  • @jackchrisevans :-o I want it as mine!

  • It's strangely fitting that an immature battle of "my country is bigger and better than your country" would break out on a clip where grown men act like they're still in primary school.

  • classic

  • I wish the american version had this kind of jim (keenan)

  • best programme ever written

  • It makes me sad that almost all of the comments I see here are just arguing over which version of this show is better, which in turn goes to throwing insults at the other's country. Just accept that people have their opinions and stop competing.

  • @joyce1175 People arguing over The Office is actually a metaphor for politics. While everyone argues about which version is better, Ricky and Steve get money from both.

  • Df? This stuff was funny in third grade. Brits got nuttin on america

  • @oddjob29 get a life, yours has that many episodes because all your country ever does is make money, theres no humor in it, where as our country, we have a bit of fun... think of it this way, would you rather watch 5 seasons of a boring TV show or 12 episodes of the best show ever

  • My favourite part is when he says ' Your a cock'. Anyone see that bit?

  • THEE office.

  • such a good ip. both us and uk versions are amazingly funny. too bad uk only has like 14 episodes

  • spinaltap is good. i like curb your enthusiasm too, iv seen that on tv, and thought that was was good, but im not sure about u.s humour though, maybe it is nature or nurture.......not sure but im pleased i dont have to sive through acres of land to find a few golden nuggits on tv

  • ......................you're a cock

  • americans prefer there humour cos they were born that way.

    put it this way,

if a dog sniffs another dogs testicalls, then its puppy will watch its parent and replicate it.

  • i want to put my penis in your mouth.

  • british is real dry, us is over the top.a little bit fake.

infact thats a bit like both the cultures too

  • I agree - in general. But don't forget that The Office UK is a direct descendant of This Is Spinal Tap, which was an American film. Martin Freeman even looks a bit like Nigel Tufnal.

  • I love cocks and twats

  • You shouldn't be able to picture something like this for US. That's why it's not on there....There's no point in using the same material in both shows.

Like Life on Mars, BBC made a great series, now US makes it to suit Americans...it's gonna have traits of the original, but it'd be poinless to have the same thing with a different accent and setting.

  • I couldnt picture the US one doing a scene like this - they made Jim too straight laced, Its a shame because this would be piss funny if they did it on the American one

  • I am so sick of the british office vs american office debate. enjoy them both for their own merits jeeze.

  • the english one is alot more realistic. the usa one is funny but its far too far fetched. like they do filming when pam is in art school and when jim and pam are staying at dwights farm... its not like a documentary at all

  • english version ftw.

  • both are great haha

english version has more subtle humour in my opinion.

but i love steve carell and his blatant hilarity haha

  • @SAXZIOUS thats why it only lasted 2 seasons!

  • @airHaakon It's not that it only "lasted" 2 seasons. It's that Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant felt it may taint the classic two series' they had already made if they were to carry on. So instead of bleeding a stone til it's dry, which by the way is all the americans do, they moved on and created something else. Some of the greatest comedies ever made only "lasted" for two series', such as Fawlty Towers. Dick.

  • @hammonday I know why it only lasted 2 seasons and only 12 episodes, but stopping then would be foolish considering the fact that it could atleast last 4-5 seasons before it would start to be bad.

  • @airHaakon How can you even say that with no proof? If they had strong enough ideas for a new series then they would have made more. You can accuse Gervais and Merchant of recycling old material for money but they do have some artistic integrity.

  • @bobokk Seriously two seasons more wouldnt ruin anything just look at top gear they are done with their 17th season and are still fresher then an infant

  • @SAXZIOUS Honestly, I don't want to know. Yes, the English version is good, but I'm sick of all of these comments. Both are good because both are written by the same man, but if you like the English version then PLEASE, comment on the english videos. Not the UK. Thank you.

  • I think both Office's are funny.

  • I agree. But there is just something funny about the accent and the dry british humor that gets me rolling on the ground.

  • The UK version is so much better than the US version. The Americans don't get sophisticated humour so they have to be fed brash slapstick.

  • I think are also the actors...

    Gervais is a genius.

  • ironic how slapstick monty python is

  • I love both versions!

  • stop beinng a long paragraph muthaphukkah

  • idiots fighting again on youtube. hillarious entertainment for the rest of us normal people who live here in the real world.

  • Was that intended to make sense?

  • You're a cock. You're a cock. You're a cock.

    You're a cock.

  • The epitome of your humour is a weak-bladdered, floundering and inept kid. I know what Dax is, so before you come in here trying to berate others, think. Because you're making a fool of yourself, troll. Your opinion carries absolutely no weight, boy.

  • Stop referring me to weak-bladdered, and inept, it's like as if you study words before you attempt to insult me. And I didn't criticize others when I first commented, but faggots like you took it offensively to your show that you so gladly fantasize with nothing but a sock with at night.

Did you just call me a troll? No.

    Try again, darling.

  • The US version is a pile of wank. It's noting compared to the British Version.

  • @NewRightLondon i agree with you, but i fucking hate Britain's phrases they use, like what the fuck is a mallrat?

  • @Garriss0n Mallrat is an American word surely?

  • @HoosierMF definitely not... america doesn't use the term bloody, mallrat, etc...

  • @Garriss0n So you're saying Kevin Smith didn't make a film called Mallrats?

  • @Garriss0n I'm American you dumb fuck. Go back to school

  • @Garriss0n

"Mallrat" is an American phrase. See the movie made by the American director Kevin Smith, in America, with American actors.

  • @NewRightLondon

    u mad.

  • @NewRightLondon

i'm british but you're just embarrassing

  • @NewRightLondon Spam

  • My points remain in their entirity: the UK actors have film and TV careers beyond their highly successful, and in the view of many, superior version, yet the US actors, whose legs your humping so violently, can boast no such feats. They're nobodies. Nothing. They will go down in history as having made a pitiful living in the limelight of another successful show.

  • Haha, I'm a little kid with a foul mouth you say? I guess referring to humping legs violently isn't that childish in your warped eyes. And did you really just say the U.K. version was more successful? Open your fucking eyes! Season 5 is rolling along. Where are you guys at again?

  • They owe their short-lived careers to appearances on a watered-down, comically inferior carbon-copy, and forever will be in the UK Office's shadow. Now, you self-righteous little fanboy. Quit the pitiful deprecation, pull up your trousers, because frankly nobody wants to see you masturbating so furiously over such a pile of American swilled drivel, and get out.

  • As for fine actors in your lowly version? I've already accepted Carrell's talent, there's no need to regurgitate it, unless you're clutching at straws. Wilson, who? Helms, who? Kras-what, who? Where's their significance, beyond your lifeless show? Where are their TV careers, beyond it? I'll tell you where. Here comes the clue train. Brace yourself. No-where.

  • You're a joke. The only reason you don't know who they are is because you've been living in your dungeon, hiding behind the security of your keyboard because you know, you fuckin know, that you're safe. You know who each actor is, their significance is easily displayed if you gave time to watch a couple episodes, you would realize it too. Their acting careers reflect on their paycheck, how much money they roll in because OF THEIR PERFORMANCE. The U.K. office actors? Are you ready? Blow offs.

  • Not funny.

  • Are you just going around on all the UK Office related videos, spouting your little nonsense? Sad. Go watch something terribly unfunny that would suit you. Like the US version.

  • The U.S. version? Terribly unfunny? Do terribly unfunny shows win Emmys? Did the U.K. win any? Fuck no, why? Because it's trash. The U.S. has creative, unique characters, peformed by ACTUAL actors, unlike the U.K. version, whose pathetic excuse of actors were probably picked up at the local Chucky Cheese. I mean they're so desperate to be funny, by trying to be perverted by saying cock and dildos. It's not funny, only to awful shits who havn't grown up.

  • Why you such a cock?

The U.S version wouldn't even exist without the U.K version.

  • I find it ironic you're being disparaging of the UK Office, while your own "comedic" tastes are evident in your chosen username. You find a retarded, socially inept, screaming and bladder-weak kid amusing, but are repulsed by swear words? Get a grip. No the UK Office didn't win any Emmys. It won Golden Globes and BAFTAS. In addition to that, it has some highly recognisable actors, with successful film careers to go along with the TV show. What does the US version have, besides Steve Carrel?

  • Hello Ronald.

Where do I even start? I am not repulsed by swear words, though I am repulsed that "You're a cock" is even a tiny bit humorous. PENIS! Hahaha! Wasn't that funny? See my comparison. See it? And wow, Golden Globes for awful fucks of the year, did those awards help them to stick around another season? Nah. Highly recognisable actors? LMFAO. Wow put a kid with downs on the show, he'll make them look like "bellend yanky twats".

  • Oh, I see what you did there. Clever boy. You took my analytical observation of your fascination with a comicless, weak-bladdered borderline retarded kid, and insinuated I was him? Bravo. What an exhibition of your fine humour. You really got me good there. Q.E.D.

  • Wow, someone worked really hard on their "observation", and you're going to bitch about it because my perspecitive fits you directly. Bravo. You sir, define the acts of a doucher.

  • I find it ironic, the entire pretence on which you were disparaging of the UK version was it's excessive usage of expletives, and what do we have here, boy? You doing the very same. I see you no longer have any argument, so you're just resorting to childish (you are a child, aren't you?) insults, and particularily unfunny curse words. No retorts, no disputations. Just a little kid with a foul mouth.

  • Fact of the matter is, your version is watered down drivel, for the tight-arsed American public. Unlike you Yanks, we're a little less restrained with our language and what we air on TV. I wouldn't say this video in particular is a great showcase of what the UK Office has to offer, but seeing as you've gone around trolling on several UK-Office related videos, it seems you're little more than a humourless fanboy, with no appreciation for real comedic talent. Get lost, your words carry no weight.

  • The only retarded, bladder weak kid that amuses me is you. Are you fuckin kidding me? The U.S. is so much more restrained with their language, they atleast use words that don't have to do with cocks. And can't you see, I'm helping you guys out. Wake up. This show fucks. I have appreciation for real comedic talent, and i'm sorry sweetheartm, but this show has none. And now I will end it with a totally bad ass closer liek you. You are a waste of organs walking this earth. Good day, chap.

  • Oh, apologies Ronald, I'm not yet finished. It seems that I've forgot to respond to one of your fucking brain-less comments. The American version has more than Steve Carrell. Rainn Wilson, Ed Helms, John Krasinki, must I go on? Because I can absolutely go on if you would like. These actors all share a thing in comon. They're actually T.V. worthy.

  • wat an office bitch u r. think the point is 2 try n have less known actors 2 get the feel of a documentry type programme. but i suppose its nothin with out GEORGE CLOONEY!! BRAD PITT!! JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!!!! BRUCE WILLIS!! woooh yeeah (gay american crowd cheering) couple of buildings blowing up, happy endings and cheese. thats right down ur alley u fat fucking arogant yank. mcdonlds mcdonlds kfc and a pizza hut. daxkone gargles on big furry greasy wrinkly sweaty swinging chafing ballbags.

  • What a typical arrogant ill-informed youtube yank troll, tell us rubber nut, would the us version of the office even exist if it wasnt for a british comic?

we have a name in scotland for people like you; warmers

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't get all bothered a hot because your beloved version sucks major bunghole. I am a warmer!

  • You're a cock. You're a cock. You're a cock.

  • Yeah I suck your dad's all day too.

  • Hahahahaha, wow. With a self-defeating retort like that, it's no wonder you prefer the dogshit American version.

  • What is this? Betrayal? But Philfa, I thought we had something going when I choked all over your medium sized dick?

  • You're so...generous. You didn't have to tell the world it was medium, but you did.

I want to have you over for a candlelit dinner with some Boyz II Men playing to warm us up.

  • Pardon the candles and make way of the festive music, my vagina will do the warming.

  • @Philfa ...You're a cock.

  • I know.

  • We have a name for people like him in Australia too; Cunts.

  • daxkone ur a wanker fuk u!!

  • I love the Office UK i think it should have made more seasons, its hilarious

  • How about there both very funny. I like the more dramatic character development in the American version, but I also like sure silliness of Gervais in the British version.

  • american one is shit.Gervais funny as

  • yeah i think u think the american one is lame because you havent seen the seasons so you probally dont understand it.just like i dont understand the british version because i havnt seen the seasons

  • lol what an argument...

  • the office only has 12 episodes as ricky gervais wanted to keep it quick and real, so people do not get bored of it, and the episode eah have more thought put into them. the US office has done 5 series as they seem to drag out shows if they are successful in america. it is best to keep a show a legend by taking it out at the top of it popularity. now Ricky and Stephen Merchant could move on to 'extras', keeping everything original and fresh.

  • Gervais and Merchant decided on their own to end it after 2 seasons (in the UK a season is 6 episodes, if I'm not mistaken). There was a huge call for more of an ending, so they did 2 one-hour specials that wrapped things up. Gervais and Merchant did a similar thing with their show Extras. The UK version won many awards and is enjoyed by many people. If it's not to your taste, then so-be-it. But for me, it's some of the best writing you're likely to see on television.

  • @oddjob29 Why does 3 out of said 5 seasons suck shit balls?

  • HAHA Hilarious!

  • Why the hell can't all you people just see that Yanks and Poms have a different sense of humour; and something funny for one may not be funny for the other.

I'm an Aussie and I prefer the British humour, but I also appreciate American humour when I see it. Some people may not have the same views as me because everyone is different.

  • Bro im from nz and ill tell you this british one is way more funier

Ricky Gervais is a fucking legend period.

  • Absolutely. The UK version is waaaaay better.

  • also how is calling someon a "cock" funny in the least?

  • Thank you all for restoring my disdain in the british culture, the "we're so clever, no one can understand our witty humour" attitude that you all seem to posses makes you all seem like such sophisticated intellectuals. It really doesn't help your case that while you are trying to sound like you are on such a higher level as thinkers than Americans, you simultaneously pidgeon hole an entire nations people. Hypocrasy?

  • Hypocrisy*

  • k im american but this shit is funny, nonetheless.

and molesting children, bull fighting, and killing gays are only funny in the right context. and maybe i will go eat another burger too.. less food wasted by corporate america...

    respect

  • yorracock yorracock yorracock

  • Simple solution then, stop watching it?

  • another simple solution?

just to put this out there...

    FUCK OFF

  • Well said.

  • hobbyordie - there is a backstory behind this

  • You're a cock.

  • Hmmmm... and American's sense of humour is molesting children, bull fighting and killing gays... u see my point, maybe go eat another burger.

  • idk what show you've been watching..

although it could be from the south.

  • I didn't know we bull fight in America you fag lover.

  • lol where'd you get bender from?

  • He says "you're a twat and a knobend" b the way.

  • He said your a twat and a knob end not a bender

  • you're a cock

  • hahahhahahahhahahhah wtf

  • an adult calling another adult a cock repeatedly

    hilarious

  • No the American office is comedy u laugh at them.but BBC's office (UK) is said u can cry on this office and that's why the UK is better.

  • this is funny you all should just shut up

  • Hate me all you want, but in my opinion, MY OPINION, I think the american verson of the office is better. Maybe its because im used to seeing that verson more because im american and what not. Just sharing my thoughts.

  • thats ok, the yanks think theyre better at everything. carrell is fabulous though...

  • True... Very true... But i do think the UK is better.

  • i think it's lame that american tv is so pc. u cant say anything.

  • ummm.....have you ever seen south park?

  • comedy central and fx are really the only channels that arent so g rated. but when i was in mexico, i watched "the girls next door", u know hugh hefners show, they said fuck and their asses werent censored.

american tv would never get away with that.

  • OH NO! there asses werent censord

  • i really love how if you go on to any of the american office clips, no one is bickering in the comments. i cant even find a bloody uk video where someone isnt bitchin. let us all just watch

  • its becasue us brits dont watch or comment on shit tv

  • ino it's not a bloody competition

  • lol...pop a laughter track! very true, TO EVERY AMERICAN READIN... i see us comedy the way u propably watch the japanese shows. to me ur comedy is ok to watch, it passes time but it is a very 2d type of comedy....couldnt watch it all day to simple.

  • alot of americans are ok but as a nation they don't shine well, televising muscular men in tight pants fighting each other..but hey we've got Gordon brown in charge so we look like assholes too ^^,

  • what's wrong with gordon brown?

  • he's a mouth breather, aka. simpleton

  • He's a cock!

  • I hate all the Brits who think Americans are retarded. FUCK YOU ALL...except the nice ones ;)

    assholes

PS: Both versions are pretty funny but I like how U.S. Michael is a fucking retard and a half - Steve Carrel<33

  • but Americans are retarded lol

  • Not all americans... the fat lazy ones are! (OH SO! MOST OF THEM!)

  • I'm only joking mate!

We don't tar all yanks with the same brush!

  • im fat, lazy, and american!

    do u hate me ?

  • Well who doesn't?

  • lol of course americans wouldnt understand this genius.

  • are you serious. well that really speaks to your intellect now doesn't it?

  • Well actually I was half joking. Didn't you 'get it'?

  • ah, damn I didnt catch that sarcasm, please type more satirically next time so people get it.

  • I like both the U.S. and U.K.version really. :-) Both are pretty funny...just two different types of humor.

  • americans don't need to be told when things are funny, it's just we have a different sense of humor than you do. the UK office has references to random ass people that brits find hilarious while the US one does the same but with random ass people to you. We simply don't find "you're a cock, you're a cock, you're a cock" to be that funny... and @kauters - the whole "you're a cock" line isn't subtle as you claim brit humor to be, that is obviously a "LAUGH NOW" sort of statement.

  • I don't think its the fact he's repeatedly calling someone a cock that us brits find funny. It's more the immaturity of these two grown men that can be seen throughout the 2 series. There are many situations like this which shows the child-like relationship these two have which are all hilarious. We are laughing at them rather than with them and at the word cock.

  • HAHA

  • good one...except the office doesn't have a laugh track in either version.
