The biggest difference between these two CAFs is their range. Baaams range is very limited, thus a higher amount of game experience is needed to achieve good results. In contrast, Sewers offers all important aspects. He inflicts high damage with kics as well as punches and posseses very devastating clinch+wrestling moves that come with an average stunning probability.
Baaam is faster, BUT his inflicted damage is much lower and his clinch+wrestling moves have a very low stunning possibility. On the upside, Baaam can withstand more damage in contrast to Sewers. To put it in a nutshell. Sewers key abilities (damage infliction, stunning probability, range, overall thoughness, ...) are all above average, whereas Baaam lacks some important abilities for the sake of Speed and Thouhgness.
Hey Ehy, i love that you're doing a character evaluation guide; but as an avid djffny gamer like myself, i can't help but to notice that the evaluation format can be a bit deceptive, and therefore broken. For example, ain't no way in the universe Baam or Bricktop, should rank higher than 0-Sick with such horrible counters, that floors the opponent. Also Baam bug in his Kickboxing, should slightly impede his rank.
I cant help but notice that the top fighters of this evaluation are mostly offensive/aggressive fighters. I'm more of a tactical/defensive fighter that's why 0-sick is my favorite fighter, and he's definitely not for beginners. But if you know how to use him, his submission skills are a huge factor in neutralizing those aggressive fighters. Submission is my favorite fighting style, because I'm aware of how lethal it can be, both on offense and defense. Looking forward for more vid
I totally agree, that agrresive CAF's are overrated in my first evaluation. I therefore changed the basic equation and added the amount of money earned by your opponent to the calculations. Right now the calculation looks like this: Max. Damage = (([earned money - 500 x sucsseful blaze moves] - [opponent earned money- 500 x sucsseful enemy blaze moves]) / total time) x (1 + [0,1 x sucsseful blaze moves - 0,1 x sucsseful enemy blaze moves])
(eg. A fight took 2:13, I earned 1620$; blazed my opponent 2 times and the CPU earned 873$ and performed one blaze move. Ergo, ((1620$-1000$) - (873$-500$) / 131 seconds) x (1+0,2-0,1) = ((620 - 373 / 131) x 1,1) => Max.Damage = 2,07 for this particular fight.
Since I didn't calculate my enemies earning last time, any move that brings little money and last for an extended time period (esoecially Submission, sometimes Wrestling) results in a lower max. damage.
Therfore all defensive CAF's are underrated. The new calculation (the equation above) tries to smaller this "max. damage loss" by taking the enemy earnings in consideration. Here's the basic concept. Althoug Submission moves still last long and earn little money, your opponent won't earn any money during that timeframe. This change should shift the max. power calculation towards defensive CAF's and may give an more accurate picture of all fighters capabilities.
I haven't made enough fights for a statistical inestigation yet, but there already are some major changes. Althoug the basic ranking remains unchange (Chakata still #1, Carlos still # 30), there've been some major changes at the mediocre rankings (Crox #25 -> #11, O-Sick #11 -> #7, Baam and Bricktop both dropped to #14, #16). I guess we can both agree that these results sound much more promising compared to my old evaluation.
Although both of these CAFs (0-Sick and Shorty) can obtain 200% Speed Shorty is still a lot faster due to the fact that his style is based on a Kickboxing stance, whereas 0-Sick is based on a Martial Arts stance. Unfortunatly many MA attacks tend to be rather slow and short ranged.
Additionaly, Shorty's hard punches and Kicks are much more usefull compared to 0-Sick's set of hard attacks.
But since he's able to perform Wrestling moves you always have a knock out option if you're already in the situation to clinch. I was surprised too but his speed is devastating. I haven't made all calculations yet and I still need to do a lot of fights to finish my evaluation so the final results may differ a little
i dont get why u have only one blazin move for taha. i have a charakter with the same style as him and to me, he looks very strong and looks likes its another kung fu style like 0-sick
Taha is much weaker compared to 0-Sick. Especially their counters make a huge difference in power level. I only chose 1 blazemove for my "weaker" charakters avoid using the same blazemove multiple times.
ive seen all of ur fighters in the game and some have glasses that blocks their eyes. and also brisby has his own suit. Is that only for xbox or it can be for ps2 as well?
I never played the PS2 Version, but I'm quiet sure you can alter your charakters outfit there too. It's possible on the GameCube Version, so I see no reason why they should have removed this option on the PS2 Version.
@AXG1995 Yes,U can get all the same clothes & accessaries on the Ps2 as U can get on the Xbox but I have noticed that a few items unlock at different times between the systems but U we get the same stuff between both systems U just have 2 look through all your unlocked clothing at the store,is your fighter at 100%?
wow! amazing quick fights this game should be online or better they should do a remake of this game if anyone knows about a new game of def jam tell me please because the ICON sucks!!
I've made dozens of calculations for this evaliuation and played some other games. You can watch our efforts if you like to. Just look for "Dreamlords RIP".
you have a great fighters man..but for me KB-SF-SM its on the top ten..one question...the 5 toughness milestones are possible?

Therefore, it's harder to play Baaam since you need more game experience to compensate his inabilities.

so the higher there power level is the better they are
