Actually your both right. THat's the beauty of songs in Japanese is that the writer can right in so many puns or play on words because there are so many homonyms. This can also be seen sticking whole bunch of kanji together to make up simple words but try to mean something else

Thank you for posting this karaoke version of the song . I used to watch the TV series with subs about 15 years ago , very cool about a Yakuza who emerges from prison & find life changed outside.
