You lift car from side your not lifting full weight of the car, your lifting 2 tyres so I think that you lift half of the car weight so this car is 3500 - 4000lbs your lifting 1750 - 2000lbs so 194lbs to 222lbs for 1 person ( with 9 people) remeber they only lifted it little bit and when there was atleast 12 people 145 to 166 pounds for 1 person

My dad's car caught on fire while he was driving home..he managed to pull it over and got out..apparenlty there was a crack in the fuselage and something he ran over caused it to spark..it ingnited the whole front end of the car..and because my dad has just filled the tank up earlier in the day it had fuel to eat...that car blew up in a spectacular fashion..so really your wrong..cars CAN and DO blow up.
I think showing this story is very very wrong because they did everything wrong. Yes, they got LUCKY and saved the guy, BUT the first thing they teach you in first aid is: think about your safety!!!! Imagine the car would blow out...not one life would be lost but 9! They should have called 911 and try to find a fire extinguisher. And then help him or wait for the fireman. And they also moved the guy...he could have had back injuries....they are not examples of good help...they just got lucky!
@havarahel The original video shows that they called 911 first before anything else was done. They then assessed the situation to see what they were dealing with. A fire extinguisher was found as fast as possible. Once they realized what had happened and that the man was alive they DECIDED to put themselves in danger to prevent this man from burning to death. They risked their lives for this man. That's what makes it heroic. If they done nothing and the man lived... THAT would be "lucky".

They can only watch what is going on..in most people seeing something horrific causes an impulse in the brain to send them into a state of shock..others the impulse sends adrenaline...not reacting is bad yes..because it could of meant that young man would have died..but they wouldn't be at fault because it's actually common human nature. Sad as it is that's what happens.

Well, if you actually heard her properly or even understood what she said "That's what makes America great. " She did not say other countries do not have brave and kind-hearted people. If one is trying to infer from that statement otherwise from its simple meaning, I suggest you go back to school to start brushing up on your inference skills. What's important is that these people could have stood there and waited for the paramedics but they didn't - they took a brave step.
They were really brave, it is why the humanity are so great, while some people are killing to get power and willing to run the world at any cost, other people risk their lives to save another one. I feel relieved to know that there still are people willing to help when the help is needed.

It's great that the guys lives and that these people saved him, but why are people so amazed at how they reacted. I would expect this from most people, all he time. There's something wrong with the people that wouldn't react this way.

@SatanistSin yes but natural instinct kicks in and normally people do whats called a 'deer in headlight'. They can only watch what is going on..in most people seeing something horrific causes an impulse in the brain to send them into a state of shock..others the impulse sends adrenaline...not reacting is bad yes..because it could of meant that young man would have died..but they wouldn't be at fault because it's actually common human nature. Sad as it is that's what happens.

Well, if you actually heard her properly or even understood what she said "That's what makes America great. " She did not say other countries do not have brave and kind-hearted people. If one is trying to infer from that statement otherwise from its simple meaning, I suggest you go back to school to start brushing up on your inference skills. What's important is that these people could have stood there and waited for the paramedics but they didn't - they took a brave step.

They were really brave, it is why the humanity are so great, while some people are killing to get power and willing to run the world at any cost, other people risk their lives to save another one. I feel relieved to know that there still are people willing to help when the help is needed.

Because everyday there could probably be some murder or stolen item cases that people didn't complain/knew about it.
And don't be racist. America IS A GREAT COUNTRY, in their own way. Which is risking their lives to help someone who they do not know. Other countries are also great in their own way. I agree with oneREDdollar. Why can't we proud of something our people do? No one is discounting other countries or suggesting they aren't wonderful as well! It's very heartwarming to see something so beautiful and selfless and it touched our hearts and apparently Ellen's as well. People all over the world are amazing and do amazing things, but she is speaking about this ONE incident and proud that it happened here.....what's wrong with that?

That black guy is my math teacher! He literally didn't get any sleep to make the trip to Ellen, and when he got back he wouldn't let someone else sub for us so he could get some rest, he had to come be there and teach us himself. He's not just selfless in saving someone's life.

They helped a person in need, since when that's considered to be so heroic? I would think of it as something normal to do in situation like this. If they did nothing and didn't try to help then it would be crazy.
