I have been in the swedish army, and I have extensive weapons/soldier training behind me...but I would NEVER like to fight beside a private merc army who get their kicks out of killing people, and who doesn't make a difference if it's innocent bystanders or not...for example in afghanistan, the swedish troops have worked to gain good relations with the locals, which has been the key for success for them in finding and helping them find the talibans.A merc could fuck up all that work in seconds

There should be restrictions on Blackwater because even in a war zone civilian casualties are unacceptable. But I don't think I have ever heard about some of the good qualities of things that blackwater have, whether they be classified or not. It's naive to think that Blackwater hasn't helped the military in ways that the military cant help themselves.

YES THEY ARE SUBJECT TO SIMPLE LAWS! These PMCs in Iraq are strictly regulated by the US State Department, they ARE expected to adhere to the articles of the Geneva Convention. They also ARE subject to local laws, and not immune to prosecution by the Iraqi government. If they are captured by the enemy, they are on their own. The US military doesn't rescue them, and they are not considered uniformed members of any military so they are pretty much screwed.
