A BIG THANK YOU. for listing this track. I was brought this record as a birthday present. My very first record and yes it was a 78. This has brought back many wonderful memories. I was, once, lucky enough to have been introduced to the great man, in very relaxed circumstances, much later in his life. I found him to be a warm, friendly and wonderful gentleman to talk with. Again thank you and thank you Lonnie.
Went with my 3 girlfriends to Pontins Holiday Camp New Pakefield when I was 16 and this was being played all the time. Loved it then and still do. Thanks for posting.
I've just discovered this - haven't heard it since I was a child - it was a great favourite of my grand pappy! Never thought I'd hear this again........how sweet!!! Many many thanks for uploading it :))

It doesn't matter if there are no daffodils in your garden. Your garden is lovely and this song is so down-to-earth and sentimental. I heard two other versions on You Tube tonight, but I think yours is the best one. Thanks!
Seven golden daffodils "is for me the most beautiful love songs ever, in the 60's came out - are here stands above all the great voice of Lonnie Donegan, one of his versatility could finally off show from skiffle, beautiful versions of the other of the Mojos, the Cherokees and the Berlin band The Lords. Always nice to hear. Thanks for uploading - all the best from Germany.
No daffodils! Thanks for posting this. It is my very favourite Lonnie song, and it is hard to find. I used to own it, but over the years it disappeared. Brings back memories of me in my bedsit singing away.
I echo much of these comments. Remember it vividly and I've tried to find it since the 60s. Lonnie was one of the very greatest. Greatest, just for his amazing voice, too. For me, there was only Edith Piaf and Lonnie in the 50s
I first heard this in the early sixties and have been wanting to hear it again ever since. It's a great little tune but the version I remember hearing was a bit more up beat, not so slow with more of the skiffle sound - but definitely by Lonnie. Thanks for putting this up. If anyone knows another version by him please let me know.
what a great guy and singer saw him live not long before he passed on and my mother met him on many occasions when she was a barmaid at a local pub in Essex thanks for the video and your garden and passion flowers are great
Have searched for years for this version, brilliant. Saw him live 2 years before he died and was amazed at the range he could achieve,he was singing better than ever.A sad,sad loss.Thank you willkfw.

"digging my potatoes! wow
Thansk for the memories ...I must sing these songs again because they are still"the greatest songs around"
They stand the test of time....Like me?

willkfw. Thank you for puting this up. Lonnie was a master, unlike most modern singers, who just shout and scream. He was a genius.
p.s. Lovely garden too! :-)
