Wow, great info! You mentioned a lot of things I hadn't thought about. Love the 'one day pass' thing. I am wondering though. Did you consider the 'unit' price (like on ziplock bags and washclothes)? I used to shop at Sam's when it was closed to where I lived, but not everything in bulk was cheaper. Just wonderin'.......thanks again!
I am so glad I watched this video! I'm just beginning to prep, and am planning quite a large shopping trip. I wanted to check out Sam's, but I'm not a member. I don't want a membership because the closest one to me is 3 hours away. It wouldn't benefit me to join. So now I'm on the hunt for a one day pass!! Thanks so much!
@katzcradul - Be careful with bleach if you use it in your laundry. It will eat the material of your clothes, towels & washcloths over a period of time; and they also will get a yellow-tinge to them.
You should change your channel name to "Prepper Goddess!" So much information and knowledge and every bit of it is useful! Thank you so much for your vids.
@signalrambo OMG! I'm sitting here waiting for a new video to upload and thought I'd check my inbox. You made me blush and grin ear to ear. You really are too kind. I appreciate you watching my videos. (Ironically, when my husband compliments me on a loaf of hot homemade bread, or a great dinner, or whatever, sometimes I tease him by saying, "Remember, I AM a domestic goddess." He's always kind and says, "Why, yes. You most certainly are. I'm a lucky man." Too fun.) Thanks again.
Hey, Love your vid-s. After watching your vid on making your own laundry detergent, I have been making my own it since... Thanks. I just printed my one day sam's club pass. How do you get the number that is printed on the line that says, "Temporary Pass#"? I noticed yours is hand written. Thanks again...
@mainbearing68 The people at the customer service desk will fill that in after you show them your driver's license. Have fun at Sam's! Glad the laundry detergent worked for you. Thanks for commenting.
Don't buy D rechargeables just purchase the AA inserts to make D batteries that way you can stock only one or 2 kinds of batteries us.sanyo(dot)com/Battery-Products
If you know someone that has a member ship you can shop with them. They will accept your debt/credit card or cash. But yea Summer shopping at Sams is great! All the campin supplies!
I heard the other day on the radio that SAms was giving 3 month memberships for $10, for the summer. I have heard the commercial a few times, but never went on the website to sign up. I currently am not much of a Sams shopper. I was considering the $10 deal, but my income has pretty much halted for the last few months, I couldnt go if I wanted to.
Get lots of paper plates and foil pans. If SHTF and the water stops running, you dont want to use drinking water for washing dishes.
I was just telling my husband we needed to add the steam table pans to the list because we are down to our last 4. We use them alot for grilling, parties, loading up with leftovers for guests, camping, crafts, almost anything. Great info.
My husband loves those pans when he's tearing up an engine he sorts the parts in them. I went out and bought a bunch of medical scrub tops to store. I wear them when I'm cooking or out working around the house. They wash and dry GREAT. Save some wear and tear on the rest of my clothes and have great pockets.
we go to costco once a year and have to pay $50 renewal fee........we save way more than that in that one trip tho......free is even better......ill try sams next time....thanks my friend
@katzcradul thanks for the tip about the one days passes. I only go about 1 once every month or so now, so I really didn't want to pay another $40.00 this year.
The last time I went to sams (very rare) I went because they had a deal where you didn't have to pay the extra charges. I have no clue how often they do that, but I'd love to find out. Twice a year would be perfect for me.
I am never without those foil pans, I usually have at least 2 stacks in my house at all times. We use them for everything from roasting to feeding the dogs. I would never be without my Sam's club membership. We go there about 4x per year if not more, and never spend less than $200.00. Mostly because there are too many great things that we like to have in the house.
