My friends Grandfather had an 87 Turbo. It was the slowest thing ever. Most annoying was the talking voice that reminded you everything. All kinds of talk. Any longer I think it would of said to Don't forget to S**t.
Only thing good of the car was the seriously comfortable seat. But He upgraded to a Town Car which was Even better.
I just bought an '87 New Yorker, silver, with dark grey leather, 4 Cyl Turbo. The seats are very comfortable and when I cruise on the highway it's quite a nice ride.
I found out the throttle cable was loose; when it was floored it was getting about 2/3 throttle. i fixed it, and it does scream now! maybe i'll put another video up soon... :)
Do you have the turbo 2.2 or no turbo 2.5/ i have an 86 Turbo that hauls ass 0-60 in like 8 seconds

this engine doesnt have the lean burn system it has chrysler 2.5 litre TBI with fuel injection,

was that floored? i have heard those cars scream. did u start in 1st gear then second and then drive?

The screaming noise would be the fan that is inside the turbo. It spins very fast to give it the boost.
